First Screenshots And Details for THE AVENGERS Gameloft Mobile Game Released

This will likely be the game most directly tied into Marvel's The Avengers big-screen assembly, hit the jump and check out the first details and screenshots for Gameloft's mobile game!

Gameloft announced earlier this month that they'd been given licences for multiple major titles, including this year's most anticipated comic book movies, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight Rises and Marvel's The Avengers flick. And now the first screenshots and details from the latter have been officially released, showcasing what'll likely be the most direct tie-in game based on the movie.

With the help of alien invaders, Loki seeks to conquer Earth. But first he must divide and conquer the only ones that can stop him: The Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D.. Play as the Avengers - Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man or Thor - and fight against Loki and his alien allies as they seek to conquer Earth. Charge headlong into exciting gameplay with eight levels, including flying levels and locations faithfully recreated from the movie.

  • Each Avenger has his own unique special skills and attacks
  • Fight against a variety of enemies and bosses
  • Varied gameplay with flying, combo and projectile attacks and unlockable upgrades to your powers

    The previous press release stated that some, if not all of the titles are expected to be released on smartphones, feature phones, and tablets, including the Kindle Fire. All of them will come with in-app purchases.

    In related Avengers news, I came across somewhat of a new promo image featuring the team assembled.

The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; and “Thor 2” on November 15, 2013.

    I'm glad they didn't go with Micheal Jackson to play Black Widow, would have been a terrible idea, as seen in the last photo.

    I really think that promo is better than the poster. More generic and cliche, but it just feel like its of higher quality.

    You know, I get it, Iron Man is the big money maker, I really don't care about promo stuff, but jeez, we, here in the U.S. only have less than 2 weeks till the movie, you think 1 live-action poster would feature Cap in the front, I mean, he does kinda take charge in the end and gives them orders.

    Anyways, We're almost there!!!

    Gameloft usually produces fun stuffs, but some of their recent games, such as the Immortals mobile game was overly frustrating. Hopefully, this won't be something like that, and more like the typical great Gameloft games. (I'll get it anyway, though.)

    LOL the game looks so 90's I love it. Sure as hell won't be getting it on anything that starts with "i", should make a nice little distraction on my Kindle Fire 2 though.

    wish they would bring back cap and avengers on xbox360 arcade.They did bring back the xmen-6 player game,turtles and simpsons.

    @RobJigga Totally agree. I've got Turtles & X-Men on XBL and Simpsons on PS3, love the old Arcade games. It'd be a great tie-in for the movie.

    Funny how the leaders of the team never poses in front of the team. Cyclops never did (Wolverine was always in front) and now Iron man is always in front.

    What would be amazing is Cap holding up his shield standing in the middle with Hulk towering in the back doing what Hulk does, screaming. I must say though the CG iron man looks a lot better then the costume one. And Mark VII armour is so much cooler. cant wait for Extremis armour in IM3.

    Good poster in the last photo. But I don't like that Ironman is in the middle because he's not the leader. They should've put Cap in the middle.
