Suggested for those who've already seen Marvel's The Avengers superhero assembly on the big screen, Empire recently hosted a thirteen-minute "spoiler special" podcast with Marvel Studios' president of production and producer of The Avengers, Kevin Feige. Including discussion of the character(s) in the mid-credits scene, the fate of another, and Loki's army, in addition to upcoming sequels (none-revealing), listen below.

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; and “Thor 2” on November 15, 2013.

DCMarvelFreshman- I can't get access to the podcast at work but i'll have to at least commend you on actually putting a direct EMPIRE ONLINE link to the podcast in question. Apparently, some other article posters on here think all they need to do is link to the home page of that god forsaken website, where the actual story it's supposed to be linked to is excrutiatingly hard to find, if at all possible. So thank you DCMF :)

Whedon once said he didn't want to make a "Part One". I understand what Feige is talking about, The Avengers opens up doors for Marvel. Personally, from what I've read plot-wise -- The Avengers is more of a conclusion to the first phase- The Initiative.

Wonder if it will be mid credits for us in the US... Usually we get after credits.... Guess I'll know if it pops up in middle whether I need to sit longer! Unless they don't show it at all!! Hope that doesn't happen!
