Zordan - 5/1/2012, 5:28 PM
why they changed it????
ironpool007 - 5/1/2012, 5:29 PM
This clip is very intense. Those are some pretty harsh words exchanged between Steve and Tony. But yeah, so much tension. Friday can not come fast enough.
TonyChu - 5/1/2012, 5:34 PM
Tony just got that ass served.
santoanderson - 5/1/2012, 5:36 PM
Yeah, the Tony quote sounds weird since we've heard the more cavalier pronunciation a million times. I can just imagine Joss was in the editing room and thought "God, I hate that [frick]ing line because I've heard it a million times. Do we have another take? Does it suck? Eh, whatever. Anything's better than the other way."

It's a sarcastic line, both in writing and inflection. It doesn't make sense for Stark to deliver it so somberly/seriously.
SUPERMAN2013 - 5/1/2012, 5:36 PM
it gets pretty awesome after this little scene between them,I think the pacing of this film was spot on,it didnt seem like any characters individual film, they all had abit of the film, them they get thrown together at the end and its beautiful to watch,it may not be THE BEST film made, but jesus, its the first time its ever been pulled off,the ONLY fault I make is there might be a little to much humour, but that is all
Bobevanz - 5/1/2012, 5:37 PM
!!!
ibravosp5 - 5/1/2012, 5:41 PM
No wonder they want to fight.
Xeriath - 5/1/2012, 5:42 PM
I agree with everyone on here. Pretty intense scene, Rogers definitely served Stark though (even though a bit harsh) everything that he said about him was true. Stark's last line at the end was really messed up though! Great scene much more tension between them then I was expecting to see.

The Avengers probably has the best dialogue of all the Marvel movies.
MrDuck - 5/1/2012, 5:47 PM
gotta say Rogers started it by bein a lil school boy BITCH
BrotherStarkofMABMindz - 5/1/2012, 5:50 PM
"Old Man" made Tony his bitch, but he wasn't going
I get much more Banner from Ruffalo than Norton
Tension is a key problem in a team
BrotherStarkofMABMindz - 5/1/2012, 5:52 PM
"Put On The Suit!"
Spidey91 - 5/1/2012, 5:55 PM
"you're a laboratory experiment Rogers, everything that's special about you came out of a bottle"
my reaction at that line in the theatre was "OH SNAP!" :O
returnhangar - 5/1/2012, 5:57 PM
"YOU PEOPLE ARE SO PETTY AND TINY!"
NeoBaggins - 5/1/2012, 5:57 PM
It starts off a bit shaky, but Cap burns the shit out of Stark in an epic way. Props on the lines and Evans delivery.

"You know you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero."

That shit was hard.
kevberg - 5/1/2012, 6:11 PM
i thought the line Cap had after tony was great as well " I 've known men that were none of that and worth ten of you..." was a great comment on what he sized up stark to be.

So much tension and the cuts told you so much about the characters.
EditNinja - 5/1/2012, 6:32 PM
Good scene.
I like Vimeo clips - you can easily copy them out of your temporary internet files.
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 5/1/2012, 6:36 PM
Oh Yes!! Man this is awesome! Cap suit is bitching, I love it, even the helmet is great!

And there came a day.
A day unlike any other.
Where Earth's Mightiest Heroes found themselves united
against a common threat.
To fight the foes no single Superhero could withstand.
On that day
The Avengers were born!

TheSequel - 5/1/2012, 6:42 PM

NOID - 5/1/2012, 7:13 PM
Lots of clips going on today.....
Lert - 5/1/2012, 7:15 PM
ILL TAKE THAT!
l0rdleg0las - 5/1/2012, 7:24 PM
AWESOME!!!

this looks like it could really set the tone for Civil War storyline, which i would love to see, but i don't want to see Cap dead.
THORGodOfThunder - 5/1/2012, 7:41 PM
AHHHH SNAPPPPP
finaljustice671 - 5/1/2012, 7:42 PM
Loving the tension. Seems like Cap's personality will get to shine a lot more in this than it did in TFA (not that there was anything wrong with it in that one).
ibravosp5 - 5/1/2012, 8:38 PM
We comicbookmovie fans are not a team. We're a chemical mixture that create chaos. We're.....we're a time bomb.
PeterDarker121 - 5/1/2012, 8:39 PM
I'm GLAD Stark's "genius, playboy..." line is more serious than the one filmed for the trailers. It should be. Don't forget who he's talking to. It was Stark's DAD who basically opened that "bottle" for Steve, who was more than happy to risk his life to DRINK it out of a sense of TRUE sacrifice. Steve's ability to size Tony up QUICKLY (has ANYONE done that yet?) and pinpoint his insecurites pisses Tony off. This argument seems to be less about the future CIVIL WAR clash of wills and MORE about Tony being jealous of Steve over his ongoing daddy issues, IMO.
Darkhaven - 5/1/2012, 9:11 PM
This clip pimp slapped the [frick] out of everyone that said this flick wouldn't have depth or drama. Thor and Banner on the smae page, Cap's and Stark lines slashing back and forth like katana; this movie is going to be friggin' ill!
coalesce - 5/1/2012, 9:56 PM
This scene sent chills down my spine! Less than 72 hours to go and by the Sunday night, I would've seen the movie three times.
hartley07 - 5/1/2012, 9:59 PM
someone just needs to kick tony's ass in one of these movies. he really is the weakest in the group, and he needs to learn that, the hard way.
SageMode - 5/1/2012, 10:11 PM
That exchange between Cap and IM looks intense.
Doctorwho22 - 5/1/2012, 11:15 PM
Where's good ol Hawkeye?
FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 5/1/2012, 11:34 PM
WOW. O.O
MrSuperheromoviefan - 5/2/2012, 12:28 AM
talking about crappy dialogue
Netman0007 - 5/2/2012, 12:46 AM
THAT WAS AWESOME!! I like the intensity there, the way he said it in the trailer would not have worked in that scene. CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS!!
BlackFlash - 5/2/2012, 2:09 AM
I've seen this twice not going to see it again tomorrow.

For the people saying it doesn't sound right and that the trailer makes it seem better, need to wait until you see the film. Lets just say none of them are acting them selfs :)
marknjoanna - 5/2/2012, 2:40 AM
no drama huh nolanites.i cant wait for steves comeback cause the cap movie worked very hard to show steve was a superhero before he got his powers.
marknjoanna - 5/2/2012, 2:41 AM
mr super is so cute when hes but hurt awwwwww
driver - 5/2/2012, 5:03 AM
They even use another take of Banner saying:"We are time bomb".Trailer had better takes of Tony and Bruce.
SirJediFrank - 5/2/2012, 5:15 AM
@driver: yeah the trailer showed Banner sayin to Widow: " And what if i say..no?!", and moving his head at the same time. and in the take used in the movie Banner ended up saying it Flat, with no inflection or pause.. yeah the trailer worked better.
SirJediFrank - 5/2/2012, 5:27 AM
THE NEXT IS NO BIG SPOILER, NO WORRIES, BUT:

in Walmart they have these internal TVs with commercials and walmart offers etc, and also short-movie trailers. And in the Avengers one, IT SHOWS CAP IN SHIELD´S HELLIECARRIER (or whatever it is called) SAYING in a very serious way: "Mr Stark..", like introducing himself, and TONY responding in the same tone: "Captain.."

...and it worked very well IMO, BUT INSTEAD Whedon cut that take away completely, and used EXACTLY THE SAME LINE between them but in the Germany scene, where we get to see Cap and IM together for the first time. ..

... What i´m saying is, the way it is in the movie, it looks like if they had met way earlier in time, and in the very next scene after that, in the Quinjet Cap says something again like they 2 have met or have a history together.

Conclusion: It is obvious that that Deleted Scene that Whedon talked about (Cap and Tony talking about Stark´s dad, Howard) took place way before the Germany scene, AND IT SHOWS! =-(
gurugeorge - 5/2/2012, 7:11 AM
Yeah one of the best things about the movie is that Whedon lets the actors act a good bit for the first half of the film. There are a few warm-up action bits, including two particularly spectacular hero-on-hero fights, but most of what's going on in the first half is the team interacting with each other, and the film is all the better for it. It makes it so the film isn't just a CGI extravaganza (which it is too) but something you're a bit emotionally involved with. This is what's making it popular with everybody and not just CBM geeks.
mikebunt - 5/2/2012, 8:35 AM
@Docterwho22, not where you'd expect him to be
NeoBaggins - 5/2/2012, 9:09 AM
LOL@ Farrell back in the day.
Fogs - 5/2/2012, 11:33 AM
Movie it boss.

And I guarantee it's not just the action. The interactions between them is what makes this movie so rich.
