MadTitan - 5/6/2012, 5:14 PM
awesome, Evans may have shrink down a bit if not it's just like what's in the character design, which looks way better than the actual look in the film.
spang2005 - 5/6/2012, 5:15 PM
I think Cap looks 10 times better with the exposed ears.
returnhangar - 5/6/2012, 5:15 PM

Cap - 5/6/2012, 5:20 PM

incredibleTalk - 5/6/2012, 5:48 PM
Good stuff...
incredibleTalk - 5/6/2012, 5:50 PM
Make mine Marvel!
Ha1frican - 5/6/2012, 5:51 PM
Ears exposed would look retarded, and the helmet is almost exactly the same as the TFA on it just has cloth so it looks kinda like a cowl ad it sits a little higher on hi head
Ha1frican - 5/6/2012, 5:53 PM
Seriously the only reason you guys want ears out is because tha's how the 616 cstume is but he looks like a chimpanzee
Dartanian300 - 5/6/2012, 5:54 PM
Yeah I preordered this and got it in the mail on Thursday but couldn't look at it til Friday for obvious reasons. Great book though
Ha1frican - 5/6/2012, 5:55 PM
In the art it looks fine but the practical shot just looks BAD with the ears
R888 - 5/6/2012, 5:57 PM
Hawkeye looks awesome
Gmoney84 - 5/6/2012, 6:12 PM
Got mine on the 4th!!
Gmoney84 - 5/6/2012, 6:13 PM
After looking at this I can see why they covered Caps ears.
brewtownpsych - 5/6/2012, 6:21 PM
better with the ears out ... not sure why they messed this one up
JonathaNisMagnuM - 5/6/2012, 6:32 PM
Seein this disappoints me about Cap's costume... I always wanted the ears exposed because it seriously looks better. for all who say "o he wanted to protects his ears" & crap like that, then explain why Hawkeye & Widow go helmet-less?!? They're not wearing any ear protection & they're just reg humans..why should Cap have his ears covered?!? o well, perhaps because of such an uproar about ears being exposed, the costume designer for Cap's sequel will expose them
AllysonSalazar - 5/6/2012, 6:52 PM
here are earth's mightiest cutie

Himura - 5/6/2012, 7:14 PM
The Cap costume looks awesome in their original concept but I feel the only reason why it didnt translate too well on screen is because Evans just wasnt big enough to fill out the suit. The one they drew has a very muscular and define Cap, which fits very well with the design.
Jollem - 5/6/2012, 7:19 PM
art book looks pretty quality

@Himura
Evans is big enough to make him look very impressive. They could've made something like Batman's suit. Bale is smaller, than Evans, but he still looks fine in his suit. While Cap's suit was too tight in my opinion.
(do not be confused - I am a Marvel guy)
silverdog - 5/6/2012, 7:44 PM
beautiful.. now animate that art for the disney-marvel project.
sahin86 - 5/6/2012, 8:08 PM
great concepts!

What great concept art can't wait to pick up this book THE AVENGERS was the most groundbreaking film since STAR WARS in 1977 thats why people are seeing it more than once allot more. This movie was what the movie industry needed to restore imagination back into movie making. STAR WARS was without question the most important film in the past 35 years it revolutionized movie making PERIOD! Lucas basically with his vision shaped all modern day SFX every movie since STAR WARS he started with models and developed computer generated effects creating the company now known as PIXAR. ILM set the standard for aall SFX in film no arguing Peter Jackson's WETA was created out of his love for STAR WARS because it was the most important movie made in the last 35 years without it their would never have been a LORD OF THE RINGS or AVATAR. The movie industry was going bankrupt he invented the worlds first "BLOCKBUSTER" movie setting unimaginable records that if you were to use todays movie ticket prices would never be matched EVER. Skywalker sound THX which have progressed all sound in film since Lucas pioneered the surround sound we all take for granted at the movies. His editdroid was another revolutionary part of what movie making has become George Lucas released his first STAR WARS film with a groundbreaking now legendary score by the great John Williams without work by Williams on STAR WARS you would nevr have guys like Hans Zimmer doing the magnificent scores in films like INCEPTION or TDK. So without bringing up a ton of other facts George Lucas revolutionized movie making to what it is today FACT and STAR WARS was the most important film made in the past 35 years it led to INDIANA JONES,JURASIC PARK,T2 JUDGEMENT DAY etc and LORD OF THE RINGS George Lucas made movies what they are today FACT!

I got this book in the mail the day I went to see the movie at the midnight show. This book is awesome, well worth the buy. I do wish there was at least one page of Thanos designs or something. The only hint you get of him is a 2 page spread of "The Other" Walking up to his throne from behind, but the caption doesn't say anything but who the artist is. Still a great book, and the Chitauri designs I think are the best part...especially "The Other" he looks so creepy.
capreborn - 5/6/2012, 8:34 PM
Cap suit just needed a different material, maybe a rubber suit like the BatMan movies is what we needed for Capt. A.
THORGodOfThunder - 5/6/2012, 8:44 PM
Just ordered this
thalidomide - 5/6/2012, 8:50 PM
I don't know if anyone spotted this but Whedon was able to show different varations of Thor in this movie :P

niknik - 5/6/2012, 9:28 PM
Gotta say I like that first Cap design far better than the second one which is the one they ended up using. That first one is much better.
Bodwulf - 5/6/2012, 9:32 PM
A favorite line from the Avengers, Shakespeare in the Park.
