The five-year build-up to Marvel's The Avengers box office-spectacle has favorably concluded "phase one" of the Marvel cinematic universe; with "phase two" well underway. And now a chance to own all six movies as a collector's set is coming on blu-ray, according to Amazon. The online retailer has listed what's being called Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One - Avengers Assembled . Check out details and slipcase cover below!

Grimfoe - 5/31/2012, 7:19 PM
I think the cool looking box is under the sheet in the ad.

Nicely done. I'm looking forward to the release, but I'm more excited by the title, "phase one." I'm thinking they'll reach at least phase III, what do you think?
jessepostal - 5/31/2012, 7:20 PM
They should throw in a copy of spirit of vengence why there at it to boost sales of this set:)
Dynamo - 5/31/2012, 7:20 PM
That's the Tesseract box. I'm betting it comes with the Tesseract prop. I hope it glows too. :P
EastcoastAvenger - 5/31/2012, 7:22 PM
That's cool... but how much? I wounder if we will get hints at what phase 2 will entail?
Darthzilla - 5/31/2012, 7:23 PM
Exlusive memorabilia? The Tesseract? YES!
Spidey91 - 5/31/2012, 7:24 PM

mgeoff88 - 5/31/2012, 7:30 PM
Note to self, pick up a Blu-Ray player. :P

I wonder if it actually comes in that briefcase? That would be awesome if it did.
whoelsebutkevin - 5/31/2012, 7:32 PM
I'm sure it coming out 5 days before The Dark Knight Rises is no coincidence either too. Unless i'm reading that wrong.
JatevinM - 5/31/2012, 7:34 PM
Since I only have Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk I am going to buy this.
dahamma - 5/31/2012, 7:36 PM
man are you kidding me?
I mean its laughable how awesome this is.

Its crazy how this is just phase one, Marvel is big enough to have "phases" now lol
Destroyer7 - 5/31/2012, 7:36 PM
I wanna buy it.
IronPatriotAvenger - 5/31/2012, 7:37 PM
I bet this'll run around $150-$175. Am I willing to pay that much for the Avengers Blu Ray, Phase one archives, and a cool box?

Maaaybe if it comes with mini (about 6-8 inches) props of Cap's shield, Thor's Hammer, and a battery powered Tesseract in an aluminum case.

But to pay that much for only The Avengers and Phase One discs in a cool box, little overboard. I mean, this is for super fans, and how many super fans haven't bought all 9 of these movies? I bet it's a very small #.

The only thing that might sell a few more copies of this is if all us fans bombard Ebay with blu ray combo packs for like $12-$15 each and shave $50-$90 off the price.

I agree with the post about adding Spirit of Vengence. Not sure if it's Marvel Studios, and I thought it was pretty bad in theaters, but I'm gonna get it anyways.

Hate gimmick boxes for home video, makes the collection look tacky. Rather my movies be in normal individual boxes rather than some novelty container taking up extra space!
thalidomide - 5/31/2012, 7:44 PM
Can't wait to see what this looks like.
Ranger14 - 5/31/2012, 7:46 PM
The only reason that I would hesitate to get is that the TIH brings down the value some. Still will probably get it though.
xXkryptoniteXx - 5/31/2012, 7:55 PM
If its cool I'll buy but if it doesn't offer some good stuff, I'll stick to my single Blu ray sets.
ThePowerCosmic - 5/31/2012, 8:01 PM
That's definitely a tesseract in there! The blue light is shooting out! I will be getting this...I am such a sucker for this stuff. Would it kill them to include digital copies of all the films though and a concept art book.

To think all that Thanos had to do to get the Tesseract was wait for it to be released on Blu Ray.
chucksome12391 - 5/31/2012, 8:01 PM
i hope they have a DVD version, but I know they won't.
StormLoganSummers - 5/31/2012, 8:05 PM
Bah! I do not own a Blu-ray player, but will purchase nonetheless.
Mr2099 - 5/31/2012, 8:06 PM
Looks cool, gonna get it but they should put it in that Helicarrier package. More mindblowing that way!!
TheMyth - 5/31/2012, 8:08 PM
I hadn't bought the IM's on BR yet, but I'm def getting this.
ThePowerCosmic - 5/31/2012, 8:12 PM
C'Mon guys get a Blu Ray Player already! It is the BEST way to watch these stunning graphics! Worried about it getting phased out? So what, you have the highest quality version of the film you can rip to your computer if everything goes digital. You can't lose!
CPBuff22 - 5/31/2012, 8:16 PM
I would rather have a Infinity Gauntlet.
Kovacs - 5/31/2012, 8:18 PM
if it's under 200 bucks then I'm probably down
DCMarvelFreshman - 5/31/2012, 8:19 PM
@CPBuff22 I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that's the highlight of phase 2 a la the cosmic cube.
dmm5 - 5/31/2012, 8:21 PM
Just love how it says "Phase One: Avengers Assembled" like this is just the beginning bitches! Have all 5 movies though :/ I'll be selling them $20 each I guess.... :D
Ha1frican - 5/31/2012, 8:25 PM
Already have all 5, guess I'll just wait for al the features frm the bonus disc to be uploaded here ;)
Ha1frican - 5/31/2012, 8:26 PM
How sick would it be if it came in a cosmic cube box too?
dmm5 - 5/31/2012, 8:27 PM

steelo - 5/31/2012, 8:33 PM

superotherside - 5/31/2012, 8:35 PM

ThePowerCosmic - 5/31/2012, 8:35 PM

TruePunishment - 5/31/2012, 8:37 PM
