Shane Black looks weird now, like he's had botox.
Jaspion - 7/14/2012, 4:44 PM
The interviewer is amazing.

The Mandarin is the Ernest Blofeld of Iron Man. We sure got some eccentric armors this type around: Iron Patriot & Mark 9(?).
DioFoRio - 7/14/2012, 4:54 PM
Fcuking Jesus people

"Buddy cop". Good stuff Shane Black.
Knightrider - 7/14/2012, 5:03 PM
Oh no, hopefully not too much Avengers stuff, that was IM2 problems. Hopefully they answer the question to why War Machine never showed in Avengers
95 - 7/14/2012, 5:03 PM
@Dynamo lol. Shane Black looks like Liberace and Zeki Muren, except not so flamboyant.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/14/2012, 5:06 PM
ughh again with the Avengers. That is the problem wit ha linked Universe, it gets in the way with individual films.
95 - 7/14/2012, 5:06 PM
@Knightrider I'm sure it'll be Easter Egg loaded, but unlike '2', it will have a strong story. And I think War Machine was being converted to Iron Patriot during the Chitauri invasion.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 7/14/2012, 5:07 PM
THE MANDARIN!!!!!!!YEEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PantherX - 7/14/2012, 5:07 PM
There's a hint somewhere in the phrase 'Shared Universe'.
R888 - 7/14/2012, 5:08 PM
THE MANDARIN
PantherX - 7/14/2012, 5:10 PM
On a slightly less sarcastic note, I'm sure they would have learnt what NOT to do after IM2. There was always going to be some hints at Avengers, but maybe it won't be as in your face this time around.
TayDee - 7/14/2012, 5:11 PM
It's a lot going on in this film. I hope its like two and a half hours
thewonderer - 7/14/2012, 5:12 PM
[frick] NO, Mandarin is ENOUGH, why plague it with all these other characters.

God damn it, prepare for another X3, Spider-Man 3, and Iron Man 2 here folks.
OverlyManlyMan - 7/14/2012, 5:16 PM
@Blockbanester

you're gay dude, shut up
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 7/14/2012, 5:17 PM
Damn they're half way done shooting the film. Can't wait for a trailer.Extremis!!!Rhodey's suit gets an upgrade!!!Michael Chricton-esque thriller!!!This has to be the best movie out of the three.I'm also glad to hear that Jon Favreau has been very helpful with Shane during production.
YOUNGBL00D - 7/14/2012, 5:18 PM
I like Ben Kingsley he's a great actor but I just don't feel him being the mandarin
TexasAvenger - 7/14/2012, 5:19 PM
This is gonna be great!
TheAbomination - 7/14/2012, 5:20 PM
I really hope this movie isn't overcrowded with villains.
BlackFlash - 7/14/2012, 5:21 PM
Iron Man great film yet people only remember the bad from IM 2, X-Men 1,2 good films yet people only remember the bad from 3, Spider-Man 1,2 good films yet again people only talk about the bad from 3.

Do people remember anything else but the GOD DAMN BAD!!, a lot of you guys seem to think one bad or not so good film means everything after is gonna go down the shitter.
TayDee - 7/14/2012, 5:25 PM
Don Cheadle looks old as shit
RamonSuarez - 7/14/2012, 5:31 PM
"A buddy cop film with iron."

[frick]ing AWESOME!

RamonSuarez - 7/14/2012, 5:35 PM
Mandarin has NEVER been a direct, hands on villain in the comics.

He operates more as a schemer who comes out to play in crunch time.

And anyone complaining about Kingsley as Mandarin better not say shit if they were fine with Ken Wantanabe and Liam Neeson as Ras Al Ghul.
NOLANITE - 7/14/2012, 5:35 PM
The last Spanish tweet is hilarious.
But what does it mean?

Translated to= they're scared that tdkr is gonna make the avengers go buy bye.
gambgel - 7/14/2012, 5:38 PM
yeah, how much time left for the official panel??
CharlesTheIncredible - 7/14/2012, 5:40 PM
Im excited for all the news thats supposed to be droppped at the panel.
Tainted87 - 7/14/2012, 5:47 PM
Plenty jealous of Sara.
kemuael - 7/14/2012, 6:05 PM
Even more excited even with all the people trolling saying it will end up like X-men 3 which i liked actually lol but i have faith in Shane Black & Jon Favreau, cause one thing marvel dont do is make the same mistake twice :-D
mydixiewrecked - 7/14/2012, 6:14 PM
Cheadle just doesn't cut it as Rhodes. Really don't see why they picked him. Still can't wait for this movie.
CapFanLex005 - 7/14/2012, 6:32 PM
I think Shane Black will give us a better movie over all. They have to win with the new IM movie it's there follow up to Avengers and leaping off point off faze2
ALmighty1080 - 7/14/2012, 6:39 PM
this movie will be SHIT
defenderofthefaith - 7/14/2012, 6:43 PM
Why all the negativity of IM2? I liked it a lot. Maybe some of us in the MCU are getting too picky.
defenderofthefaith - 7/14/2012, 6:43 PM
Why all the negativity of IM2? I liked it a lot. Maybe some of us in the MCU are getting spoiled and too picky.
StarkAnthony - 7/14/2012, 7:03 PM
For the guy who asked: the Spanish tweet says: don cheadle confirms that the mandarin is the villain for iron man 3 and there are various villains.
Altair - 7/14/2012, 7:29 PM
@ElChavo

I wish I could marry a comment. Because if I could, I'd marry that one.
Geektality - 7/14/2012, 7:35 PM
I'm kinda skippy about Ben Kinglsey, because whenever I see his face, I think of him yelling, "I'm Ben F**K Kinglsey" in that thick Cockney accent.
UrbanKnight - 7/14/2012, 8:14 PM
Sounds like a delicate juggling act with avengers 2.
They got it though. EXXXcelent!
LAWLZY96 - 7/14/2012, 10:03 PM
I'm stoked for Mandarin, I hope he'll be the main villain(looks like it). I'm curious as to how Guy Pearce's character and the Iron Patriot fit into all of this.
113 - 7/15/2012, 1:20 AM
I just can't wait to see more of War Machine and see more character development of Rhodey. Rhodey is one of my favorite characters in the entire Marvel universe (i'm mostly a DC guy) so I think his character to be fleshed out on the big screen.

I eventually hope to see some solo War Machine movies.
BenderDickCumPatch - 7/15/2012, 2:23 AM
Excellent.

"And anyone complaining about Kingsley as Mandarin better not say shit if they were fine with Ken Wantanabe and Liam Neeson as Ras Al Ghul."

Oooh. Sorry to burst your bubble, Sport, but I'mma say some shit.

The two situations have nothing in common. At all. Ras is a member of a race that no longer exists in the comics. His name is Arabic; he is not. Beyond that, it was Nolan's interpretation of the character, and had little to do with continuity anyway. You could say the same about Black's Mandarin, except...

The Mandarin is called the Mandarin for a specific reason - CAUSE HE'S FREAKING MANDARIN, and he's proud of his ancestry. That's IT, no room for interpretation. You wouldn't cast Jet Li to play a character called 'The Swede.'
