Promotion for the DVD an Blu-ray release of Marvel's The Avengers superhero team-up of a lifetime is slowly approaching. And kicking things off a bit early, Weta Digital has released five minutes of footage in original high-quality, that showcase their visual effects contributions. In addition, Logan VFX has offered details and images from the movie's memorable Celebration Montage. Check out the images and video embedded below!

Logan collaborates with director Joss Whedon and Marvel to create the "Celebration Montage" for the film The Avengers. Logan was tasked with conceptualizing and shooting the elements that would comprise the montage sequence depicting a worldwide homage to The Avengers. Our take was to show reactions from around the world. Children with homemade Thor hammers, men getting the Tony Stark look at a barbershop in Mumbai, a rally in support of The Avengers in New York, people grieving at a candle light vigil to establish the breadth of the celebration. We are thrilled to have contributed to such a fantastic film.

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; and “Thor 2” on November 8, 2013.

Frankly I'm still waiting for another Hulk film as well as Doc strange, Namor, Blk Panther and a Silver Surfer movie. I'm looking forward to phase 2 but these movies I mention above I rather see.
On anther note- I haven't seen TDKR yet but I will. I saw a clip of Bane breaking Batman's back (folks say the fight is awesome)and I can't wait to see it. So what the best and coolest CBM fight scene of 2012?
1) Batman vs Bane
2) Thor vs Ironman
3) Thor vs Hulk
4) Hulk vs loki
5) Spidey vs lizard (school scene)
6) Ghost Rider vs Blackout (road warrior scene).
StrangeBlackPantherDoctor - 7/22/2012, 12:28 PM
I want to watch this right now.
storyteller - 7/22/2012, 12:28 PM
Yeah I'll have that dvd now.
StrangeBlackPantherDoctor - 7/22/2012, 12:30 PM
1. TDKR 10/10
2. Avengers 10/10
3. Amazing Spider-Man 9/10
Great Year for Comic Book Movies.
4.Ghost Rider SOV 3/10
Azrael725 - 7/22/2012, 12:31 PM
Batman vs Bane hands down was the best fight scene in recent history. all of them are great but not as impactful or gripping as that one.
Spidey91 - 7/22/2012, 12:31 PM
my reaction to Iron Man's entrance the first time I saw the movie:
F*CK YEAH! *claps*
StrangeBlackPantherDoctor - 7/22/2012, 12:32 PM
Batman Vs Bane is [frick]ing awesome. It's so brutal.
Hulk2008 - 7/22/2012, 12:36 PM
@manro

100% agreed. The Incredible Hulk 2 is long due and hopefully it will come out in as early as 2015!

As far as best fight scene:

1) Batman vs Bane
2) Thor vs Hulk
3) Hulk vs Loki
4) Spidey vs lizard (school scene)

So fun. I only saw it the one time in theaters... Looking forward to owning it.
siggisuperman - 7/22/2012, 12:39 PM
In my honest opinion The Avengers was better then TDK trilogy
siggisuperman - 7/22/2012, 12:43 PM
And seriously I did not feel Batman vs Bane was that great. I just watched all three movies in a row and the fighting is very pathetic in all of them, but a little better in the new one. The one liners are all funny in the Avengers but the Nolan Batman mmovies have SOOO many one liners that are just awful
ThePowerCosmic - 7/22/2012, 12:47 PM
Batman VS. Bane was the worst. A fight between Thanos and Silver surfer would have been more realistic. They should have just made Bane Darksied if he was going to be that invincible. Sucky unfulfilling fight at the end too. What a lame death for Bane.

AVENGERS! BEST CBM OF ALL TIME!!!!
AlexDeLarge87 - 7/22/2012, 12:58 PM
Pretty cool.

Whats the problem with the front page of this website?
Everytime i try to go there it says "Undergoing Server Maintenance"
Still i get to the News Archive, Scoops, fanfic etc.
RamonSuarez - 7/22/2012, 1:01 PM
LOL @ a Nolanite mentioning a Bane vs. Batman fight on an Avengers thread.
marvel72 - 7/22/2012, 1:22 PM
the avengers was definetly the comic book movie event of the year for me.

thor vs hulk is my favorite moment from the avengers, only fault i wished it was longer.

gigface - 7/22/2012, 1:23 PM
Did anyone else notice that in the clips released before the movie's premier during the Iron Man/ Thor fight when Thor zaps Iron Man originally Jarvis chimed in and said "Power Capacity is above400%"then Tony says "Well , how about that" and in the actual theatrical release as well as this clip Jarvis is gone.

Maybe they realized that since they didn't actually use that bit of info later on that it needed to go

. I thought it would have been much more interesting for Tony to be low on power and have Thor give him a boost in one of the later battles.

Seems like a wasted bit of detail.
dahamma - 7/22/2012, 1:25 PM
reminds me of how freakin bad ass this film is. My top CBM for sure
VanCityKid - 7/22/2012, 1:28 PM
"Superheroes in New York City? Give me a break"

I loved this damn movie. Easily the most fun I've ever had at a theatre
VanCityKid - 7/22/2012, 1:32 PM
@gigface yeah I noticed that too. I was kinda hoping when Tony was unconscious Thor would have resuscitated him using lightning but Hulk's scare was hilarious. Schwarma anyone?
GUNSMITH - 7/22/2012, 1:38 PM
AND WHERE WAS SPIDERMAN?
Bobevanz - 7/22/2012, 1:58 PM

inky - 7/22/2012, 2:08 PM
what makes this a classic is the funny of the cuff remarks.
comic book timing and well known players in the movie.
takes a leaf right out of the 60's batman movie.
none better this year.
thingrock4 - 7/22/2012, 2:09 PM
AVENGERS is the GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME.
inky - 7/22/2012, 2:13 PM
hold on did some one mention batman fighting bane ???
sorry i didnt see any bane in the new batman movie only some wimp with a lower face mask, bane was a giant muscle bound drug induced freak designed to kill batman whilst wearing a mexican wrestlers mask sadly i think nolan never read the comics, what an idiot lol
musashi - 7/22/2012, 2:32 PM
That was awesome to see those scenes again! The Avengers is my favorite CBM for 2012. It had so many wow moments and took me back to when I was a kid and I wanted to see an Avengers movie. It exceeded expectations with all the crazy battles.

Most FUN I've had at the theatre in a long time! Looking forward to phase 2!
Geektality - 7/22/2012, 2:33 PM
So if people wanna nitpick TDKR, Avengers should get some too. HOW DID LOKI TRAVEL TO GERMANY!?! There. I'm done.
TheWebSlinger - 7/22/2012, 2:38 PM
Wow, I guess the Hulks CG was done by a separate studio? That's pretty neat.
Mrcool210 - 7/22/2012, 2:45 PM
@riseofLOGANX36 you obviously didn't see the amazing spider-man, no one gives a [frick] about your dumb ass opinions, so kindly shut up
Jollem - 7/22/2012, 2:46 PM
was a fun movie. i liked the amazing spider-man more

here's a thought i had:

near the end, why didn't they think to have hulk and thor and iron man destroy stark tower at the base or the middle or something? building woulda collapsed and the device would not be working properly maybe? maybe tony didn't wanna lose all his booze :)
