Halted for the weekend, filming has picked back up forThe Wolverine today in Australia. And now shooting around a Hopetoun Hotel in Surry Hills NSW, Pedestrian TV has scored a few none-revealing photos. And while star Hugh Jackman was absent from the set, the source's set report claims the scene(s) will include him.
UPDATE: The Daily Mail has spotted the star Hugh Jackman on the Surry Hills set, bare armed.

“A crew worker told us the scene they're shooting involves Wolverine "confronting someone in a bar fight" and, judging by the Camouflage-centric costumes, we're guessing the punch up involves characters from Wolverine/Logan's military past.”

While Pedestrian TV's Military theory may be so, the actors costumed in the set photos below are likely the “group of hunters” that were filmed days ago loading their pick-up trucks with bags and rifles. And in that case, the scene further hints at paying homage to Frank Miller's “Japanese Saga,” where Logan ends up in a bar fight in which pursing an vicious grizzly bear eventually led him to. What do you think?

Starring Hugh Jackman, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Rila [frick]ushima, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee and Svetlana Khodchenkova, directed by James Mangold, The Wolverine is scheduled to be released on July 26, 2013.

I really hope this turns out well. If he puts on the yellow costume or at least a variation of it, I'll die a happy man.
DGTZ - 8/6/2012, 7:21 PM
im guessing that the guys dressed up in camo are not soldiers or military people, but are instead the hunters that hurt the bear that was speculated a couple days earlier
Bane2099 - 8/6/2012, 7:26 PM
Asterisk

Once...just once can FOX put Wolvie in his damn costume, Marvel isnt afraid to have their characters in their respective suits, FOX are a bunch of wimps not wanting to give that to the CB fans
BarnaclePete - 8/6/2012, 7:32 PM
WHo cares if he wears a yellow costume?? That's not what would make the movie good or bad. Fox is obviously not scared of the yellow costumes . . See X-Men First Class.
G3n3r4lzZoD9 - 8/6/2012, 7:36 PM
It makes no sense for him to just start using the costume out off nowhere you dum[frick]s, it was not given to him during the weapon x program why should it be used now, unless he uses it later in japan.
DioFoRio - 8/6/2012, 7:58 PM
lol@Grif...I thought that dude looked familiar

HOLY [frick]ING SHIT BALLS WITH TWO SLICED SERVINGS OF HOSIE, THAT IS SOOOOO CLOSE 2 MY HOUSE IT AINT EVEN FUNNY
nowtheresaBATman - 8/6/2012, 8:16 PM
The closest Wolverine's gonna get to his costume/mask is going to be some Samurai armor.
RyRy85 - 8/6/2012, 8:16 PM
I hope they don't CG his claws again... That was horrible.
AutobotCommander84 - 8/6/2012, 8:17 PM
@BarnaclePete You're right, and to be honest, the reason why I can't see someone like Wolverine wearing a yellow and blue costume is because of his overall personality. I'm pretty sure no one would take it seriously.
MARV3L - 8/6/2012, 8:27 PM
What's Logan doing in my hood? That's literally 2 blocks from my place, might go check it out this week!
micvalpro - 8/6/2012, 10:09 PM
I actually like the hair but the beard looks horrible. Just cut that into mutton chops especially if their left that long and he would look awesome.
BenderDickCumPatch - 8/6/2012, 10:25 PM
Looking good
CapFan79 - 8/6/2012, 10:27 PM
I hope we get the costume. Would make sense once shit goes down in Japan vs Silver Samurai that he'd maybe have a Wolverine style samurai suit.

Something simple like his costume would restore a ton on faith in this series. First Class had the classic costumes, now time for The Wolverine.

I wish they would stop making movies based on this BS X-Men Universe this should of been the first Marvel series they rebooted such a great comicbook storyline but such garbage movies Wolverine could be so much better I hate to see what they do with Deadpool..
swoodlief - 8/6/2012, 11:38 PM
Hugh Jackman as wolverine was, is and always will be a bad idea!
elessarundomiel2382 - 8/6/2012, 11:43 PM
unless its a samurai variation....... the mask itself is kind of like a samurai helmet. Like Batman Begins where Batman's costume is a reflection of the League of shadows training, his costume can be a reflection of his samurai training
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 8/7/2012, 12:49 AM
[frick]ing A! Cut off the hair on the chin! I wanna see the big thick chops! Anyways, so far so good. Nothing I'm seeing or hearing is pissing me off.

Oh, and most definitely...

Don't let us down Hugh!

timmyjingoro - 8/7/2012, 12:51 AM
Jackman's too skinny to be Wolverine. And his PG violence is [frick]ing bullshit. And in all honesty, it's ONLY AND ONLY his shitty spinoff series that has kept Fox from properly rebooting the X-Men franchise.

I don't care about Xavier & Magneto's past. I want to see the real team: Cyclops, Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue, Jean Grey, Storm, Nightcrawler, Beast etc. fighting together an kicking some ass.

But on the other hand though, XMFC was so good. One of the best CBMs. I'm so [frick]ing torn. We need a reboot. But Matthew Vaughn created characters that are too likeable. Even more so than their comic book counterparts.

P.S. The original X-Men trilogy (yes, including the first two), sucked donkey balls. They never let Cyclops be the real leader. They turned Rogue into a phaggot, whiny, teen [foo foo]. The Jean Grey actress was pretty [frick]ing ugly. Wolverine was brutal and badass enough. No Gambit, and then the XMO-W version was shit, uncharismatic, and weak as all hell. Halle Berry wanted too much screentime that her character didn't need or deserve. Magneto looked like a weak ass pedophile rather than a real badass.

Honestly, the only thing they got right was casting Patrick Stewart for Xavier.
timmyjingoro - 8/7/2012, 12:52 AM
*Wolverine was NOT brutal and badass enough
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 8/7/2012, 12:57 AM
^^^^^^ You forgot Kelsey Grammar as Hank McCoy/Beast.
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 8/7/2012, 1:00 AM
Why would Logan wear the Classic Costume (Black, blue, yellow)? He didn't wear that costume till he was a soldier for Canada, then not again till various issues and Jim Lee's later stuff.

It would make damn near sense if he dons the Legendary (Brown/Tan) Costume. Plus, it's a little bit more easier to adapt.
timmyjingoro - 8/7/2012, 1:03 AM
@TheGambitFreak, Ok I give it to you. Kelsey Grammar as Beast was pretty perfect too. But I still stand behind the rest of what I said.
Unas - 8/7/2012, 1:14 AM
I'm on the same boat as you ^^^.
Well said bud.
timmyjingoro - 8/7/2012, 1:28 AM
I just checked. the shitty Gambit from XMO-W was Taylor Kitsch. Figures. The film was doomed to suck before shooting even began.
FireKnightRises - 8/7/2012, 1:38 AM
is that wolverine? I hope its not turned out like shitty origin
LMB10 - 8/7/2012, 2:05 AM
Please let this be the awesome, R rated Wolverine movie we deserve.
marvelmaniaco - 8/7/2012, 2:18 AM
Its already sounding better than the first one, hopefully it will surprise us
jimoakley666 - 8/7/2012, 2:35 AM
Seriously, [frick] the comic book costume. It looks [frick]ing ridiculous on the page, never mind live action.
XmutantX - 8/7/2012, 2:45 AM
hopefully we see blood...how do u stab sumone and they dont bleed??? lol

IIIAdamantiumIII - 8/7/2012, 6:36 AM
kinda disappointed in jackmans size in this film , this looks like the skinniest wolverine yet.....ugh
Fogs - 8/7/2012, 6:56 AM
They're not putting him in the suit. forget it.

What I imagine we can see though would be some samurai suit that RESEMBLES the brown one. That's all.

Fox don't want to spend time or risking people saying they didn't like him in uniform. They just don't have marvel studios' balls.

BURN IT ALL TO THE GROUND! and start fresh
ALL WE [frick]ING WANT IS THE 90's CARTOON IN REAL LIFE IS THAT SO [frick]ING HARD TO ASK FOR ?
DanteSparda - 8/7/2012, 8:57 AM
Here's a summary of the scenes revealed so far and my theories of when they take place in time and the context in the story based in the japan and Logan sagas in comics.

1- Military camp for prisioners of war, takes place around the time of the WWII, Logan is captive there, then manages to escape with the aid of another mutant, then they meet Mariko who helps them hide for the military pursuit, Logan falls in love with Mariko and probably promises to return some day to her.

2- Wolverine buying camping equipment, take place in the present (or around the 90's), Logan is pursuing a wild bear of the mountains that had killed a lot of people, later he finds him and kill him, and discover the cause of the bear frenzy was a poisoned dart that some hunters shot at the bear but they didn't finished the job and let the bear escape and kill around a dozen people, so Logan is set to take revenge on them.

3- Bar fight (this scene), the men dressed in the "camouflagecentric costumes" are the hunters (there's no way they're part of the military), Wolverine tracked them down following their scent to take revenge for the bear's victims and the bear himself and kills all the hunters.

4- Logan shouting at night, little is know about this scene, but if Logan is shouting in grief and he hasn't arrived to japan yet then it only means that he had recived the news that Mariko is going to get married.

WHO IS PLAYING MARIKO? LUCY LUI?
megabatfan - 8/7/2012, 10:33 AM
I know this is supposed to be a one off... but are they gonna completely ignore the events of Origins or not? Cuz in WWII he was with Victor (Sabertooth), yet we're getting WWII scenes, so where is Victor? & he was the best part of Origins.
TheRationalOne - 8/7/2012, 12:03 PM
You're not gonna get the yellow costume, cuz thats not even the costume from the book they are adapting. You twits. Acting like some die hard comic fans but you don't even know what costume he wore in the book. Also, in the book, when he finds the hunters, it has been "days" since he killed the grizzly, and nobody knows how long he was tracking the grizzly. Its possible that he would be a bit shaggy at that point. This is only one scene in the movie and you guys are freaking out about his hair cut. You guys are all pretty ridiculous. Most of you need to go back and read the book again.
timmyjingoro - 8/8/2012, 12:53 AM
If they find the yellow costume so [frick]ing stupid, then they shouldn't be making a Wolverine film. It's not Wolverine without his costume. Just like it wouldn't be Batman without his costume, or Spidey without his. You can tweak it, sure. But you cannot exclude it.
Batmansucks - 8/8/2012, 3:53 PM
he looks really out of shape!
inkslinger616 - 8/29/2012, 11:35 AM
Just give me a shout out to alpha flight and a variation of the mask, even if its all beat up, i dont care.
