The folks from ETOnline recently caught up with The Town's Rebecca Hall to promote her 2011 British horror flick, The Awakening. And during a lengthy Q&A session, the actress briefly discussed her inclusion in Marvel's anticipated “crisis thriller,” Iron Man 3.

When asked what it's like going from a small production to a major summer blockbuster, Hall says, “I decided to do Iron Man 3 because I’ve never done the “Hurry Up And Wait” movie before. Even the studio movies I’ve done have been small studio movies, or indie films that we made on a wing and a prayer. I love those, but Iron Man is refreshing in a way because it’s something out of my realm of experiences.”

ETonline then brought up the few “strong” female characters already introduced in the Iron Man franchise, and Hall reveals her character compares, but that's about it. “She is. Yeah. But I can’t possibly tell you more without giving something big away.” Not being able to say much about the role, Hall then when on to discuss whether she has adjusted to the secrecy surrounding the production. “It’s really weird. I don’t quite know what to say or what not to say. I’m guaranteed to put my foot in it at some point. [laughs]”

Described as a “technological crisis thriller,” set in the world of international war, arms & terror, Marvel Studios' “Iron Man 3” stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Dale Dickey, Ashley Hamilton, James Badge Dale, with Sir Ben Kingsley and Jon Favreau. Shane Black (“Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”) takes over directorial duties from Jon Favreau, who helmed the first two “Iron Man” films. Principal photography will occur primarily in North Carolina and China. And “Iron Man 3” is set for release in May 3, 2013.
