Kinda glad they got rid of this scene.
KalEl26 - 8/20/2012, 9:16 AM
I think this scene should have stayed in for the same reason Mrcool210 mentioned
blvdnoise - 8/20/2012, 9:16 AM
I don't want to see these yet damn it!
rockerdude22 - 8/20/2012, 9:18 AM
I like it, but I can understand why it was cut.
TayDee - 8/20/2012, 9:20 AM
It's okay but how does this give Banner more development?
baszs - 8/20/2012, 9:22 AM
Because there was soo much material!

Just waiting for the extended cut!
VicSage - 8/20/2012, 9:22 AM
I see why it was taken out. As a scene, it may look good. But inserted in the film, it may cause the film to drag when it's supposed to be speeding up for the finale. If the scene were a little faster-paced and had a sense of urgency in it, it might've stayed. But the way it is, no. It makes sense why it didn't make the cut. Hope they give Blu-Ray buyers an extended edition option!!! :D
j0hnb1aze - 8/20/2012, 9:23 AM
The scene that made the cut was better than this version. Much funnier IMO.
gnosis31 - 8/20/2012, 9:23 AM
How did he know to go to Stark Towers?
Madmex93 - 8/20/2012, 9:24 AM
That old man should have been the Stan Lee Cameo!!!!!
ATrueHero1987 - 8/20/2012, 9:25 AM
That was a great scene but I understand. They do cut scenes for pacing.
superotherside - 8/20/2012, 9:25 AM
Great scene.
nuclearpriest - 8/20/2012, 9:30 AM
I like it a lot & it's only 56 seconds, Joss could have left it in.
NorrinRaddical - 8/20/2012, 9:32 AM
what i'd call a perfect deleted scene
Growler - 8/20/2012, 9:34 AM
God Bless Harry Dean Stanton.
Some lovely dialogue in that little snippet, a few words saying quite a lot.
SupermansBeard - 8/20/2012, 9:34 AM
Although this movie was amazing...i did wonder how Bruce learned to control his powers...it was like he raged and fell out of the sky and then showed up as some good guy all of a sudden, taking orders from Cap...I hope that they don't just have deleted scenes on the dvd, but that they actually have an extended version
TayDee - 8/20/2012, 9:35 AM
Cipher- yeah i guess. I would've rather preferred them show at least how he reaches the team in time
TheSkywalkingKnight - 8/20/2012, 9:36 AM
There will never be an extended or Director's cut. Whedon has stated before that his original cut was too "self-indulgent", so a worse cut of the film is unnecessary. Just give me all the deleted scenes and I'll be good!
MrYurMomm - 8/20/2012, 9:38 AM
@gnosis13

If you remember back to the scene where all the Avengers are in each others faces, Bruce walks over to the computer and he says "Oh my God" because he saw that it was Stark Tower that was needed due to the self sustaining energy source. Hope that helped!
Maximus101 - 8/20/2012, 9:39 AM
Ya it's a good scene but it makes sense that they cut that out of the movie cause how the hell would he have known to go to stark towers? Only thing I can think of was the conversation about his building while they were on the heli carrier.
CaptainObvious - 8/20/2012, 9:39 AM
Hey everybody! TheMarvelite and SirWinsalot have been banned!
MrYurMomm - 8/20/2012, 9:40 AM
@yoss

lmao, great vid, the beginning

"... Transformeeeerrrrrrssssssss!!!!!!!" when "Avengers" pops up
megabatfan - 8/20/2012, 9:40 AM
@ RedHood
I would like to think he learned to control his powers at the end of TIH. Remember Norton's Banner was doing the breathing exercises & Hulked out as it cut to he credits. Seeing that The Avengers took place a year after his last Hulk-out, it's plausible he learned to control it within that time.
Oxbow - 8/20/2012, 9:43 AM
loved it...Bruce's confusion and apprehension, the funny old dude spouting pithy words of wisdom. Listen to your elders, they'll drop some knowledge on ya!
MrYurMomm - 8/20/2012, 9:43 AM
@gnosis13 @Maximus101

And to add onto my previous comment about how Bruce knew, it was right after he saw that, the bomb went off and sent Black Widow and he down... well you know..
jessepostal - 8/20/2012, 9:44 AM
@redhood, at the end of tih he learned to control it,same with the "that's my secret, im always angry" scene. He can become the hulk when he wants, He could not control it on the hellicarrier because loki had him under his control
Maxi91291 - 8/20/2012, 9:48 AM
I like it
Another !
teabag - 8/20/2012, 9:51 AM
Lionheart1 - 8/20/2012, 9:53 AM
I loved the Ant-Man reference. They should have kept that in.
marantaz - 8/20/2012, 9:53 AM
How would he know to go to Stark Tower, you ask? Well, he's a scientist, he's intelligent, and reason would dictate that if he wanted to help, he'd go to Stark Tower... Banner and Stark were alike, they enjoyed each others company even though their relationship was rocky, where else would he go? It's not like he can go find the Helicarrier. If he didn't want to help, he'd go anywhere else.... that was the decision he was struggling to make.
Whedon's script was intelligent in that the characters did not waste a lot of time agonizing over the obvious. They debated and bickered, but when it came time for action, they did the right thing because that's who and what they are. Even Banner, with a monster inside him capable of destroying anything in its way, used his superior intellect to narrow down the options and decided on the right course to take. The scene was cut because it was unnecessary to explain Banner; even without the comments of the security guard, Banner would have done the right thing, so the scene was not needed.
But a scene between them with the guard giving him his motorcycle would have been nice... and could have been funny too.

"Do you have a car I can borrow?

"Nope. Got a bike."

"A motorcycle?

"NO, a 10 speed! Of course it's a motorcyle! It's for riding around the properties I guard. I'll let ya use it, but if you get a flat tire, don't go turning all green and throwing it in the river ... I want it back!"

During the big battle scene, the bike gets crushed by debris, and Hulk sees that and gives an annoyed grunt with a sorry expression on his face... would have worked, I think.
teabag - 8/20/2012, 9:55 AM
As stated before Banner found the location of the Cube and was about to tell everyone just before the room exploded

so he knew Stark Tower was where the cube would be :)
Maxi91291 - 8/20/2012, 9:56 AM
@Teabag

Exactly !
jessepostal - 8/20/2012, 9:58 AM
@maran, or he saw it on the screen right before he got thrown from the room:)
GUNSMITH - 8/20/2012, 9:59 AM
"PLEASURING YOURSELF AND NOT REALIZING YOUR PALMS HAVE MICROSCOPIC METAL-LIKE BARBS UNTIL ITS TOO LATE WILL BE A MISTAKE I WILL LIVE WITH FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE GUEN."

SkateandDestroy88 - 8/20/2012, 10:01 AM
@ Tea you the man. LOL

Ok. Yeah I always buy the non special edition without the extended scenes. Good scene but see why it was cut(pacing)

Ruffola stole the show in my opinion. Can't wait to own this film and watch it while trippin balls. Is there any better way to enjoy a movie.
CBMM1 - 8/20/2012, 10:01 AM
@Lionheart1- Yeah that was pretty clever: Are you a big guy that gets small or a small guy that gets big?
SpaceGhost - 8/20/2012, 10:06 AM
Better Without that Scene...
SkateandDestroy88 - 8/20/2012, 10:07 AM
What the hell is up with some transformers song for avengers !?! So stoked to watch it but the America F#ck Yeah song for Captain America is my personal favorite.
PeterDarker121 - 8/20/2012, 10:08 AM
Well, it's not like Banner coulda said "I need to head on back to the big military style fortress floating in the sky." It makes sense that Banner would seek out Tony at ST since they bonded the most and Tony basically invited him there earlier.

Bojac - 8/20/2012, 10:10 AM
I hope they cut it because they [frick]ed up that stage direction at the beginning. ;)
hope420 - 8/20/2012, 10:10 AM
@marantaz I really enjoyed how Stark and Banner got along! It probably wont happen but I'm hoping for a Banner cameo in Ironman 3!
SupermansBeard - 8/20/2012, 10:11 AM
@jessepostal
Okay, I need to watch this again so that I can watch how Loki had him under control, because I think I may have overlooked that part while dealing with my daughter. You can imagine how much of a hole I felt as I had not had that explained to me.
95 - 8/20/2012, 10:13 AM
Very well directed.
Ruffalo was perfect.
GoILL - 8/20/2012, 10:14 AM
Nice scene but can definitely see why it was cut, looking forward to seeing the rest of the scenes that got deleted.

@CaptainObvious best news i've seen all day
Intothepoop - 8/20/2012, 10:16 AM
ooof, good thing they cut it. Some wonky dialogue there.
Newbus - 8/20/2012, 10:21 AM
HDS looks like Leonard Nimoy
SkateandDestroy88 - 8/20/2012, 10:22 AM
Yeah they should have cameos maybe but make the movie it's own story. Thor w Hawkeye Yes Iron Man II w Black Widow uh ok. Marvel kicks ass no matter what Mhahahah
Bodwulf - 8/20/2012, 10:24 AM
I want to see the deleted scene whrer they fight Godzilla!
Avengers Vs. Godzilla, Earth's mightiest heroes face the king of monsters!
SkateandDestroy88 - 8/20/2012, 10:24 AM
Trolls getting banned hahaha. One time I posted a comment it was flagged and one other time I posted another comment and it was deleted, but I didn't take offense to it cause it was so distastefull.
GoILL - 8/20/2012, 10:25 AM
