I can't believe they didn't keep those scenes in, they are really fantastic work. The opening would've made a greater impact and the cap scene is just heartfelt and bittersweet. Still Avengers is one of the greatest movies ever made hands down lol
RR51 - 8/21/2012, 1:42 AM
The whole scene with Evans makes me even more excited for the sequel.

Smokey - 8/21/2012, 1:49 AM
They definitely need a scene like Cap's in the sequel... and loved Stan bahaha 'Ask for her number you moron...'
TheOther - 8/21/2012, 2:57 AM
HILL IS A [frick]ING BADASS
Maia87 - 8/21/2012, 2:59 AM
I HATE it when deleted scenes are better than the actual movie.
Maxi91291 - 8/21/2012, 2:59 AM
These scenes are so awesome ... they wouldve made TA even more awesome than it already is ... now tell me more about how this movie lacks depth
Maxi91291 - 8/21/2012, 3:00 AM
@Maia

True that .. same thing with Thor
Maxi91291 - 8/21/2012, 3:00 AM
That Cap video is incredible
Lightsplasher - 8/21/2012, 3:01 AM
I agree with you three guys ! I await so much of Cap 2 : Winter Soldier ! Ad yeah they should have kept those scene , the Cap scene shows us REALLY what man he is : a man out of time of another century ...
Coloso - 8/21/2012, 3:02 AM
Damn Chris Evans scene really had 'gravitas'!
xeno - 8/21/2012, 3:06 AM
Oh, man! Joss should have left that Cap scene in the film. It was only three minutes, but it said so much about Steve's loneliness and feeling of displacement. Including it would have added a personal connection between Steve and the blonde waitress after he saved her during the battle. And Stan's cameo was great.
Valandil - 8/21/2012, 3:06 AM
The only one I'd kept, is the cap one.... totally necessary.
DCjohnny - 8/21/2012, 3:10 AM
can anyone post the youtube link.... please
Coloso - 8/21/2012, 3:10 AM
Lizzy Caplan, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. F*ck yeah!!!
Maxi91291 - 8/21/2012, 3:15 AM
Item 47 is bada$$ :D ... Sitwell nailed it ... I love it

The MCU is the greatest thing that happened to CBMs and to us - the fans

When i saw the deleted footage for Thor i only saw a couple of scenes that i would have put back in like the scenes showing him evolve his humility in regards to the coffee cup.

In Iron Man i wish they had left the longer Ending between Stane and Stark before he falls into the reactor.

I like all these scenes and if theirs more like these i wouldnt mind an extended cut like they did with Lord of the Rings.
SimyJo - 8/21/2012, 3:22 AM
Ok, I draw the line at not watching these - need to save some anticipation and release for actually watching the Blu-Ray when I get it.
Maxi91291 - 8/21/2012, 3:33 AM
SimyJo - I admire your self-control

I've heard that the Item47 is a chitauri weapon that these two get their hands on. I don't know what happens to it but It could be cool to extend this to being an experimental and sentient chitauri weapon that a young girl finds afterwards and becomes the superheroine 'Armory' : Avengers Initiative Vol:2.
LoudLon - 8/21/2012, 3:51 AM
The Steve Rogers scene above was excellent. Why'd they cut that out???
blvdnoise - 8/21/2012, 3:52 AM
whooopie!

calin88 - 8/21/2012, 4:01 AM
so Hill will have Fury's job for phase 2
rockstar728 - 8/21/2012, 4:11 AM
I cannot believe they didn't keep the Captain America scene in! So good. Would have made the interaction with Nick Fury mean so much more!
ComicsCommando - 8/21/2012, 4:12 AM
Item 47 was boring and felt pointless... So they just let those two into SHIELD like that? Great.
WingDingaLing - 8/21/2012, 4:18 AM
I love all these scenes!! I wish they kept Cap's extended scene. One thing that I REALLY wish they did was made Captain America more recognizable to citizens. After what he did, he should have been put in history books within the Marvel Universe and when people see him on the street in the battle for New York, they would be shocked by the appearance of the iconic Captain America a historical hero fighting in New York. The one that was presumed to be dead after the plane crash. He's supposed to be a living legend. But despite that, The Avengers is an phenomenal film!
Ceejay - 8/21/2012, 4:23 AM
I want to enjoy my Blu Ray properly when it comes out so I can do without watching the spoilers for my extras!
JatevinM - 8/21/2012, 4:27 AM
I'm just going to wait and enjoy my blu-ray.
DaenerysTargaryen - 8/21/2012, 4:32 AM
That cap scene filled me with soo many depressing feels. :(
jimoakley666 - 8/21/2012, 4:44 AM
Can't get the videos to work for some damned reason.
Boekelaar - 8/21/2012, 4:44 AM
I'm happy with those scenes not in there except for the cap scene, that would have been awesome in the film.
MisterJay - 8/21/2012, 5:09 AM
wow... perfect movie... but with those scenes.. could it be even more perfect
jessepostal - 8/21/2012, 5:17 AM
hahah i live 20 min from Allentown pa!
BlanketMan - 8/21/2012, 5:20 AM
The Nick Fury ending speech ("The whole world knows... EVERY world knows") is MUCH better than the Maria Hill version. Joss definitely made the right call there. But I just as strongly disagree about him cutting the Cap scene. Great stuff there - Stan's cameo was much funnier!
theboywonder - 8/21/2012, 5:37 AM
I really liked the Maria Hill version. It broadened her character. I loved all these scenes actually, but you can see why they got cut. Besides the alt ending, it's just a matter of pacing, not necessarily that one was better than the other
thewonderer - 8/21/2012, 5:38 AM
I cant be the only one who cringes every time Colbie Smulders talks? I don't understand why but her voice just irritates me. Its like shes talking with water in her mouth.

The Maria Hill opening and closing were really stupid. Overly cheesy and Fury is the emphasis not her, so thank god for the film version.

I hated the Item 47 thing as well. I loved the fact that it seemed to make Sitwell the new Coulson but thats it. As a Lost fan, I liked the man in black but hes pointless. Why did they let on a few thugs to the team? Because they can operate the weapon? Why not kill them after learning how to? This was so boring and not CBMlike at all!

Now the CAP THING WAS FANTASTIC. Finally some serious reflection on the mans isolation, something the film severely lacked.

Disappointing bunch imo except Cap which was great
figuresmaniac - 8/21/2012, 5:38 AM
anybody got these on youtube please?
Gamma022 - 8/21/2012, 5:45 AM
Item 47 was full of
Meh...
BarnaclePete - 8/21/2012, 5:49 AM
Those shorts are much better when there is no Coulson, but really? They are making it so it's that easy to become a SHEILD agent?
StarkAnthony - 8/21/2012, 5:56 AM
Great stuff there! this beats out Stan's real cameo. I can see why all this stuff was cut, but I kind of wish it wasn't. I also hope they don't release the scene Whedon was talking about where Cap actually does talk to Peggy. Stuff like that (and all of this deleted scene) should be saved for Cap 2.
