After filming scenes involving a funeral yesterday at a Buddhist temple in Japan, The Wolverine production has now moved to the Fukuyama Station in Hiroshima. In photos via various onlookers, the star Hugh Jackman is seen once again sporting the funeral garb from yesterday. However, this time he's alongside model/actress Tao Okamoto, who's playing Silver Samura's half-sister, Mariko Yashida. While nothing too significant, check it out!

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, “The Wolverine” finds Logan (Hugh Jackman), the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed. Also starring Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee and Svetlana Khodchenkova, James Mangold directs a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback. And “The Wolverine” is scheduled for release on July 26, 2013.

Still don't like the shorter hair.
TopCat89 - 9/4/2012, 10:53 AM
I'm liking the new look/haircut etc

Would be nice if a costume is introduced....Brown/Tan maybe? Even without the mask, it would look cool!

Before anyone says "It won't work on screen!" watch 'The Avengers' movie. LOUD and extreme costumes (Stars and Stripes), sometimes with slight alterations, work!
MisterJay - 9/4/2012, 11:17 AM
i hoped they cutted his hair 2 make the mask looks better......... hugh is a good logan... but i need a WOLVERINE movie...
THEBAMF - 9/4/2012, 11:22 AM

MovieTheaterLad - 9/4/2012, 11:49 AM
@TopCat89

Captain America is a symbol of America. Of course he'd wear the stars and stripes.

There is no such reason for Wolverine to wear a costume.
xXkryptoniteXx - 9/4/2012, 11:57 AM
I want a good story and a well done film without any plot holes or continuity error, example when gambit got knocked out and after his in the roof top running and breaks the fight between wolverine and sabertooth.
HeadPool420 - 9/4/2012, 11:57 AM
Man he's just so damn tall!:(
GAC - 9/4/2012, 11:59 AM
I'm told that he has short hair in this movie because he will don his yellow/brown suit and cowl....hopefully thats true.
TeeDeeHaaaay - 9/4/2012, 11:59 AM
lol I like how this gay site even censors names of places in the articles if the wrong letters should happen to line up.
HeadPool420 - 9/4/2012, 11:59 AM
And from the looks of the cars this part takes place in today's time.
Motts24ma - 9/4/2012, 12:07 PM
Starting to look like the horrible Anime Wolverine I hope this doesn't turn into a disater please give him a costume
Stumblin - 9/4/2012, 12:09 PM
Hooray! Nothing remotely interesting to see about a movie that will more than likely suck!
Marqy47 - 9/4/2012, 12:12 PM
Mariko is very pretty but why is wolverine looking like James Bond who didnt shave 2 weeks ?

Or is it just a normal behind-the-scene get up ?
Sanderman - 9/4/2012, 12:28 PM
@hope to be fair..asians are known to be pretty short
IIIAdamantiumIII - 9/4/2012, 12:31 PM

DeadManDann - 9/4/2012, 12:40 PM
@Maxi91291

He's just dressed like that for a funeral.
DDD - 9/4/2012, 1:01 PM
A short-haired giant WOLVERINE.....
Oh, yeah, this movie is accurate!

I don't care how you spin it
WOLVERINE is supposed to be 5'3",
SHORT AS SHORT CAN BE!

LOGAN'S called "THE RUNT", does 6'2"
JACKMAN look like a "RUNT" here???

FOX strikes again!

Things just get worse and worse.

WONDERFUL!!!
DDD - 9/4/2012, 1:05 PM
SANDERMAN@, JACKMAN even towers over the non-
Japanese people!

Come on!
Salemdog - 9/4/2012, 1:19 PM
What's interesting is I remember someone mentioning that they tried camera angles in X-Men to make Jackman look shorter. And he was on eye level with Janssen who is 5"11 so at least they tried.

I think by the second film they just said screw it.

This is what happens when you buy the hype.
Salemdog - 9/4/2012, 1:30 PM
Yukio anyone?

Oh wait, that's the one playing Mariko. I cannot convey the sarcasm enough.
jimoakley666 - 9/4/2012, 2:17 PM
She's damn good lookin'. I really like the shorter hair. It's a very different look and, y'know, it works.
P862010 - 9/4/2012, 2:17 PM
@DDD get over it it has been 12 years of hugh jackman with his 6'3 frame as wolverine
SomTingWong - 9/4/2012, 2:26 PM
this might be good...
P862010 - 9/4/2012, 2:27 PM
Salemdog that actress looks far to nice looking which is why she is mariko have you seen the yukio actress's face?
superpooper - 9/4/2012, 2:43 PM
Meh. Until he starts to look like Wolverine these movies will continue to fail. That's all I've got.
Salemdog - 9/4/2012, 2:46 PM
@P862010

Unfortunately yes. And she doesn't look "nice" in that pic. That's a good Yukio.

This isn't

soberchimera - 9/4/2012, 3:07 PM
[frick]uyama lol, chill out CBM.
Pooh - 9/4/2012, 3:08 PM
Her hair looks too short.
Pooh - 9/4/2012, 3:09 PM
It's weird how tall Logan looks. Logan is supposed to be a small guy.
AEStark - 9/4/2012, 3:10 PM
I find the censorship of the station in type hilarious.
P862010 - 9/4/2012, 3:28 PM
Salemdog

like i said this actress is too nice looking for a yukio which is why she is'nt

yukio is'nt suppose to be pretty looking
BlueDemon - 9/4/2012, 3:30 PM
LOL he's so much taller than everybody else. Anyway, I hope this movie doesn't suck major balls.
KingEmperor - 9/4/2012, 3:39 PM
Wolverine's starting to look like Sabretooth.
cwell510 - 9/4/2012, 4:13 PM
I hope they cut his hair so his mask will fit better. I wanna see the damn mask!!!
GUNSMITH - 9/4/2012, 4:14 PM
JUST GIVE US THE SUIT AND MASK AND IM SOLD.
CoolantTech - 9/4/2012, 4:17 PM
It'll be 13 years Hugh Jackman's been playing Wolverine and you'd think people would have gotten over him bieng a whole foot taller than he's suppossed to be, but I understand its distracting.

I've seen in an interview some time back Hugh saying that he would shrink himself if he could to play the part more accurately, ok... then use the camera tricks they used in the TDKR for Bane to make Wolverine look smaller, Bullshiter!!
