While the legendary comic book creator has already filmed his inevitable cameo in Marvel Studios' first “Phase 2” installment, Iron Man 3, Stan Lee recently confirmed his next cameo in Thor: The Dark World, according to the folks from Nuke the Fridge.

Now that the Alan Taylor-directed sequel has started filming earlier this week, ‘The Man’ revealed during a Q&A at the Comikaze Expo that he knows what the part will involve. And although he didn't detail the cameo for obvious reasons, Lee did, however, tease it.

“You have never seen anything like it,” Stan Lee said. “neither have I. Do not miss it!”

Considering Thor and The Avengers are Marvel Studios' only feature films that explore otherworldly territory, and Stan Lee's cameos in both were on earth, perhaps his cameo in Thor: The Dark World will take place on one of the nine realms. What do you think?

Exploring Thor's relationship with the Asgardian all-father Odin, as well earthbound companion Jane Foster, “Thor: The Dark World” follows the God of Thunder to The Nine Realms beyond Asgard and earth. And as his evil half-brother, Loki, returns for Asgardian justice, a new threat rises. Also rejoining Thor are his fellow Asgardians, Lady Sif, gatekeeper Heimdall and Warriors Three, as they encounter mythical Norse creatures among evildoers.

“Thor: The Dark World” stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Jaimie Alexander, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Rene Russo, with Alice Krige & Kat Dennings. And Alan Taylor (“Game of Thrones”) takes over directorial duties from Kenneth Branagh, who helmed the first “Thor” film. From a screenplay by Don Payne and Robert Rodat, “Thor: The Dark World” is set for release on November 8, 2013.

the thor cameo & the amazing spider-man cameo are my two favorite stan lee cameo's.

Moakynubs - 9/15/2012, 3:28 PM
I like his Iron Man cameos the best. Noticable but not blatant. The Cap/Thor/Avengers ones are just a bit too "HEY IT'S STAN LEE".
karloshuddos - 9/15/2012, 3:35 PM
His cameo in iron man was the best "hey heff!" lol
TayDee - 9/15/2012, 3:36 PM
They're getting better and better though. I will anticipate a Stan Lee cameo until he's gone!
BlackAmerica - 9/15/2012, 3:37 PM
I think it would be cool if they ever put The Watcher in a film if he was played by Stan Lee. That way its like all his cameos are actually the watcher witnessing those events.

I still love his FF2 Cameo. That and his TASM were fantastic.

Gotta love the Marvel Legend!

DarkArts - 9/15/2012, 3:59 PM
His best cameo was in the cut Cap scene from Avengers.
jessepostal - 9/15/2012, 4:01 PM

LoudLon - 9/15/2012, 4:11 PM
We wouldn't have these Marvel movies if Lee hadn't created the characters. Dude deserves as many cameos as they can give him -- AT LEAST.
JordanKing - 9/15/2012, 4:17 PM
He's not Stan Lee without those giant gasses of his, and I couldn't really picture an Asgardian wearing a pair.

That is unless... Darcy gives them to him as comic relief. *shudders*
TheUnknown - 9/15/2012, 5:13 PM
Yeah! I just saw him here at Comickaze!
JatevinM - 9/15/2012, 5:14 PM
I've been saying for awhile now that Stan Lee should be the Watcher. It would be the ultimate cameo and the ultimate way to give his presence in all the movies meaning rather than have them just be funny cameos.
MrRogers - 9/15/2012, 5:33 PM
lol @MrSteiners that would actually be really funny haha
dancingmonkey08 - 9/15/2012, 5:56 PM
I absolutely love Stan's cameos, even my friend who doesnt like reading comics but loves comic book movies, he loves Stan's cameos and always looks out for Stan

I hope Stan is around for a long time to come, at least long enough to cameo in all of Phase 2!

I also love his ridiculous rants on youtube! lol

@CaptainCool

Youre in the minority when you say that

@JatevinM
Perfect reason for all his cameos

@nid3

Youre easily distracted if you let that take you out of the movie, ffs

Jefferys - 9/15/2012, 7:07 PM
If Stan was too, sadly pass, I wouldn't know what to do with my self. Unless they started to CGI his cameos with someone who sounds like Stan. But that'd never have the same feel to it.
GUNSMITH - 9/15/2012, 7:13 PM
HE'S GOING TO PLAY STAN, GOD OF COMICS.
xXkryptoniteXx - 9/15/2012, 7:23 PM

marvel72 - 9/15/2012, 7:34 PM
no one has done more for comics than stan lee,of course you can't forget the artist he worked with on that particular book be it jack kirby, steve ditko, bill everett & so on.

you have to respect the man.
ThePowerCosmic - 9/15/2012, 7:42 PM
I hope he is an old Dark elf with the trademark glasses on!
DravinClaw - 9/15/2012, 8:01 PM

nikgrid - 9/15/2012, 8:33 PM

thebearjew - 9/15/2012, 8:39 PM
i<3 you stan! I loved his cameo in amazing spidey so much!
OverlyManlyMan - 9/15/2012, 8:52 PM
Dude his cameos are Marvel trademarks, deal with it
TheOneAboveAll - 9/15/2012, 11:07 PM
Stan Lee should play his character from marvel comics. THE ONE ABOVE ALL. I would love to see that in the movie a gold glowing Stan Lee saying he is the One Above All the creator of all things.
loki668 - 9/15/2012, 11:18 PM
Oh boy, here come the cbm hipsters!! "The cameos were cool once but now they seem old. I'm becoming too much of a film artisan to appreciate these cameos. You've probably never heard of my favorite genre of film cameos. Someone hand me a PBR, while I grease up my mustache and ride my Victorian bicycle to Hobby Lobby."

Newbus - 9/15/2012, 11:52 PM
Seems a bit odd he was not in First Class But then again that sums up the film.
Inhuman - 9/15/2012, 11:56 PM
i bet you hes a dark elf or some kind of creature with makeup and a crazy get up and he says a funny one liner and you can tell its stan LOL
Jollem - 9/16/2012, 1:40 AM
romita and heck and kirby and lee and many others all pitched in at the same time to create the marvel universe

no one person gets credit. that's just silly

i like the beatles. THEY made music. not just paul, ya know?

at least stan wears the helmet :)

lokibane2012 - 9/16/2012, 2:23 AM
hate his cameos.

except tasm.
BigDamnHero - 9/16/2012, 2:45 AM
I would love for him to be king of some crazy realm.
loki668 - 9/16/2012, 3:03 AM
I hope he plays the village drunkard.

lokibane2012 - 9/16/2012, 10:39 AM
@RR88

yeah, because there is NO one writer who created almost all of the major characters in dc.
xstryker - 9/16/2012, 11:51 AM
I am a true believer! 'Nuff said!
ThunderCougarFalconBird - 9/16/2012, 12:07 PM
