Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee & Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film hits May 3, 2013, & is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

The Iron Patriot armour looks even better in this pic. I wonder what backstory it will have.
Boekelaar - 10/22/2012, 2:06 AM
I'm still not gonna call it Iron Patriot until in the trailer they call the suit that by name. It's just an amercianized War Machine to me at the moment.

Looks awesome though

Can't wait no more. Anyone know what time the trailer will be shown in Australia.
DCMarvelFreshman - 10/22/2012, 2:19 AM
@Boekelaar lol I know what you mean, but technically, it's still Mark 2. It's being licensed as 'Iron Patriot' on packaging and merchandising, so it's cool to roll with the flow:)
GetsugaTensho22 - 10/22/2012, 2:20 AM
For some reason, it looks like the Iron Patriot armour's being sponsored by Converse Shoes :P
JordanKing - 10/22/2012, 2:25 AM
Isn't there supposed to be a poster released later today?
Jolt17 - 10/22/2012, 2:27 AM
"Iron Patriot"...Holy. Crap.

Seriously. Even if this movie didn't look good as a whole, I'd still watch it to see the armor in action.
jimoakley666 - 10/22/2012, 2:30 AM
I'll bet they've painted the mark II up like this because the Avengers told them to stuff it , went their separate ways and did a runner at the end of the movie, Cap included. So as a PR campagne the US government combine the looks of Cap and Iron Man to make the 'Merkun public feel safer.
tripttwe - 10/22/2012, 2:31 AM
Could this be a tale-tale sign that Marvel doesn't have much faith in the Sony/Spider-Man franchise? I'm summing it up to wishful thinking for now, but if it happens you saw the 1st call right here!
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 10/22/2012, 2:33 AM
Hmmm... So do all of the Armors have the cuts in the face plate like the Mark V? Are the armors all now able to be transported? Aside from that, I love it!

Tony looks like a Grunge/Punk Drummer though...

Get ready for a shit load of Gif's Tuesday!!
Kayo - 10/22/2012, 2:34 AM
War Machine/IP looks pretty good...........Phase 2 is gonna be great.
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 10/22/2012, 2:36 AM
Can't wait for the witty jokes about James not being in the Avengers and Captain America whips in IM3! And the Happy quiting segment!
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 10/22/2012, 2:37 AM
Also liking the beard trim outlining Stark's Jaw.
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 10/22/2012, 2:38 AM
Alright, who's calling it? I will... Pepper is gonna die... If not, she'll be damn sure near it.
Happy11 - 10/22/2012, 2:43 AM
Everyone said the same about IM2, looks can be deceiving lets just wait for the film as we all know how bad IM2 was
CorronZenith30 - 10/22/2012, 2:48 AM
Yeaaaaaaaah!
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 10/22/2012, 2:56 AM
@HappyHouston11 Someone has obviously never seen a Shane Black film before...
Kayo - 10/22/2012, 3:05 AM
Hope Bruce Banner has a brief cameo in IM3.
Lightsplasher - 10/22/2012, 3:22 AM
Is it me or Iron Patriot (Rhodey's armor) looks AWESOME !! ?
FrankieDedo - 10/22/2012, 3:26 AM
@Kanaas and why? if Banner shows up for 10 second, you'll get nothing from him, so it'll be like he's never been there..LOL
CoulsonLives - 10/22/2012, 4:04 AM
I bet Happy is gonna die! Like in the comics!
SageMode - 10/22/2012, 4:24 AM
Awesomenessauce. This is gonna be GREAT
Kayo - 10/22/2012, 4:42 AM
@ Frankie: just because it is a brief cameo, that doesn't mean that it has to be a 10 seconds scene...........LOL, Stan Lee's cameo in FF2 is longer than 10 seconds bro.

mgeoff88 - 10/22/2012, 4:42 AM
Iron Patriot looks [frick]ing bad ass! Is it Tuesday yet? :P

The Iron Patriot armor looks SWEET!!!
Spidey91 - 10/22/2012, 5:12 AM
it looks AWESOME.
also, check the chest plate: "LT. COL. JAMES RHODES". it is Rhodey inside the armor.
superotherside - 10/22/2012, 5:13 AM
Rhode's painted suit looks great, see? LOL Haters. Did anyone else notice Tony's chest piece looks different? But if he took Extremis wouldn't the chest piece be gone?
spidey1994 - 10/22/2012, 5:26 AM
Iron Patriot is looking badass!
PsyGuy - 10/22/2012, 5:29 AM
Looks so awesome. I can't wait!

ProNoob - 10/22/2012, 5:43 AM
looks so awesome! cannot wait
snufkins - 10/22/2012, 6:01 AM
Unfortunately, it really IS just a dressed-up War Machine.
If you look at it in full resolution, it says "LT. COL. JAMES RHODES" by the side of his armour.

Shame, that leaves out a PROPER Iron Patriot then.

;~;
BatsFan - 10/22/2012, 6:22 AM
Iron Patriot look cool!! I hope they put a Cap reference for why they design it that way.
Spidey91 - 10/22/2012, 6:33 AM
@snufkins

well,to be fair,Norman Osborn was the IP in he comics, but since Spiderman is at Sony's,a proper Iron Patriot was never a possibility in the MCU
