Although on-location filming in London provided a great deal of quality photos from the sequel’s production, Disney/Marvel decided to present an official behind-the-scenes photo to Empire for their latest issue. Magazine scans first revealed the photo earlier this week, along with new story details, but now it has surfaced in original quality. Thanks to HeartChrisHemsworth, check out the image featuring Hemsworth being directed by Alan Taylor, surrounded by Asgardian Einherjars.

Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne (credit not final) and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (credit not final) and is based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962. “Thor: The Dark World” is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. The film releases November 8, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios.

Looks like Thor has a more king look, or at least something closer to Odin's outfit.
Should be awesome, I mean I'll wait before fully predicting until a trailer but it looks awesome so far.
Wish we got a look at Loki though (tbh all I want to know is what his hair will be like...that sounds weird but like...oh I can't explain it I just wanna know what it's gonna look like)

I hope thor's feats rival superman's feats this year. They better look similar power wise. Thor has been looking...low key...

I dont understand, something so simple that would make this even more bad ass - Where the hell is his helmet??!!
Maia87 - 1/31/2013, 1:06 PM
StSharp - 1/31/2013, 1:14 PM
The helmet doesnt work people! He'd look silly. Loki wears his because of the horns. It makes him look maniacal and like a conquerer from another place. If Thor were to wear it it would takae away from his "relatability." Its so simple.
I personally always liked the Ultime Version of Thor. Thors helmet in some of the new comics is completely f****d up.
BlueDemon - 1/31/2013, 2:30 PM
Mother [frick]er looks MYTHIC!
aztecRaingod - 1/31/2013, 8:30 PM

DEFENDER - 2/1/2013, 9:40 PM

DEFENDER - 2/1/2013, 9:42 PM

DEFENDER - 2/1/2013, 9:44 PM
o.k i get it chris want's to look good for the female audience but he can wear the helmet in non action scene's
DEFENDER - 2/1/2013, 9:47 PM

DEFENDER - 2/1/2013, 9:48 PM
