Sir Ben Kingsley’s portrayal of The Mandarin has been lauded and evinced as the main antagonist of Iron Man 3, but Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark will also deal with Aldrich Killian, played by English-Australian actor Guy Pearce. Beyond the character’s role in the Extremis storyline, which Iron Man 3 is “loosely” based upon, not much is known about Killian’s interpretation in the film. Speaking with French magazine Première, Director Shane Black revealed, “We approached [Pearce] to play one of our villains, and he’s incredibly menacing as this guy who is insanely jealous of Tony Stark. He wants to possess everything Tony has, including his girl…”

Aldrich Killian may not be the only one badgering Tony and Pepper’s relationship. Played by Rebecca Hall, Maya Hansen was associated with Killian in the Extremis arc. “Rebecca is a talented, funny and beautiful actress,” says Black. “We needed someone who could be believable in the role of a scientist, who’s a little in spite of herself, and has a lot of charm. She was perfect. Maya Hansen is an old friend of Tony Stark from the past that resurfaces. This is not strictly a rival for Pepper Potts, but she has a real bond with Tony that goes way back.”

Damn, the comics are loads better.
Tony was gallivanting about with a different girl every night or every other night.

@Jollem, quite right mate. The movies Tony is suddenly pussy whooped and just settles.
Not really the "Real" Tony Stark.

That explains the cheek kiss in the trailer.

I'm loving how they've changed Aldrich from the comics, i actually like this version.

So Tony catches Pepper with a suit while Jarvis is working the motions. Meanwhile Jarvis and Rhodey are kinda doing their thing while Jarvis gives it to Rhodey very well with the War Machine suit.
Tony gets jealous and stops having sex with Jarvis. Mandarin decides he wants to have an Orgy with all the suits and the shockwaves bring the house down.

What sort of shape represents a relationship with only 1 person in it.... a circle?
aztecRaingod - 3/10/2013, 3:18 AM
Yep, there will certainly be a threeway love triangle.

They are actually renaming the movie, "IronMan 3(some)"
KaneVonDoom - 3/10/2013, 3:28 AM
I'm more of a rhombus guy really... but a rectangle will suffice.
Bread - 3/10/2013, 9:42 AM
Love line segment
dancingmonkey08 - 3/10/2013, 12:33 PM
eh I dunno about a love triangle, we shall see

And guys, its a big day for Iron Man today, its 50 years today (for those of us still on March 10th) since Iron Man made his first appearance in Tales Of Suspense #39 (according to this: http://marvel.com/comics/issue/11280/tales_of_suspense_1959_39) and he is still one of the greatest characters ever to this day, it is a damn good achievement for any fictional character to get to 50 years and be enjoying even more popularity than ever.

Hopefully he will get his best movie yet to celebrate his 50th
dancingmonkey08 - 3/10/2013, 12:37 PM
I disagree jCameron, I think Robert could do another 3 movies, 2 more Avengers and an Iron Man 4 with some sort of adaptation of Demon In A Bottle

But I do say replace him (and maybe most of the cast of the Avengers, they seem to work too well together and if some new Tony was brought in, it might not work) for Phase 4
