Following yesterday’s commencement of filming for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past inbetweenquel, production details have surfaced for 20th Century Fox’s other forthcoming Marvel adaptation: The Fantastic Four. As reported by Production Weekly, via Twitter, the Josh Trank-directed reboot based in Marvel’s First Family will commence principal photography, under the working title Henry Street, as soon as June 17th! That’s a bit early for a major film that doesn’t have any cast members attached and doesn’t hit theaters until March, 6, 2015! What do you think?

Why so early?
soda9 - 4/16/2013, 5:41 PM
Wow! That soon??? They must be keeping casting under wraps right now!
AlibiBreakfast - 4/16/2013, 5:42 PM
Of all the Marvel properties owned by other studios, I most wanted the Fantastic Four to be reacquired and added to the MCU. Such a shame.
PsychoManiacJacky - 4/16/2013, 5:42 PM
I still think they should have brought on a more experienced director that actually knows the genre really well
soda9 - 4/16/2013, 5:47 PM
Reed Richards: Anson Mount
Sue Storm: Charlize Theron
Johnny Storm: Garett Hedlund
Ben Grim: Joel Edgerton/CGI

Dr. Doom: Mark Strong or Benedict Cumberbatch
Mole Man: Andy Serkis
Namor: Sam Witwer or Eric Bana

could care less.
Fantine - 4/16/2013, 5:53 PM
They obviously have the cast lined up and all, no way could they fill so soon without actors having to clear their schedules, unless they all are completely unknown, which is a strong possibility.

Jessica Biel I think will be wanting Sue Storm, cause she was originally cast Viper, so she's not against a comic book movie. She also auditioned for Selina Kyle

TheAbaryMan369 - 4/16/2013, 6:00 PM
How can they start filming in a month if they don't even have ONE role casted!?!
gambgel - 4/16/2013, 6:01 PM
on June????

This must be an unique case, at least on comic movies. Almost two years before its release, wow.

One thing is for sure, they will have soooooooo much time to work on post-production and special effects, so this could be something special, if the action scenes are top-notch and really epic
coolbreeze421 - 4/16/2013, 6:04 PM

FirstAvenger - 4/16/2013, 6:06 PM
Wait, did I miss casting news or something?
CherryBomb - 4/16/2013, 6:07 PM
Amber Heard for Sue Storm! (I'm like a broken record ... ha!)

She can really get across the beauty & brains aspect of Sue and will real sincerity. Heard is very talented and not to mention so goddamn sexy.

SCURVYDOG619 - 4/16/2013, 6:08 PM
Perhaps they are starting pre-production on this in order not to have the rights revert to Marvel...
Jollem - 4/16/2013, 6:08 PM
so much good news today
Chilenator - 4/16/2013, 6:11 PM
who cares .... ahahaha after MOS trailer 3 I can die happy
gambgel - 4/16/2013, 6:13 PM
Amber as Sue would be another Jessica Alba case.

Id preffer a more mature actress this time, not sure who, tho.
MrMartinMarvel - 4/16/2013, 6:14 PM
@Jollem Please be sarcasm.
wiseme_2005 - 4/16/2013, 6:16 PM
This is my faveorite title in the mighty Marvel cannon! I soooo hope this won't STINK like the other two F.F. movies did!! To Holywood: PLEASE GET THIS COMIC BOOK RIGHT!!!!
SpectacularJoShFest - 4/16/2013, 6:18 PM
Hope they get it right this time...although I have to admit I find myself enjoying the movies when I see them on TV
MrMartinMarvel - 4/16/2013, 6:19 PM
I would prefer to get another really crappy FOXtastic Four movie as opposed to a success.
norseman79 - 4/16/2013, 6:21 PM
[frick] fox and their (mostly) shitty marvel movies.

They better do DOOM justice this time at least...
CherryBomb - 4/16/2013, 6:21 PM

@gambel No because Amber can actually act, Jessica Alba has no real talent. Sue in the comics as always had the look of a 'trophy' wife, especially in comparison to Reed, I've always imagined her to be in her 20's and not close to Reed's age
SpoonWielder - 4/16/2013, 6:21 PM
I heard if they don't start filming by 2014 the rights revert back.
TheRedSkull - 4/16/2013, 6:22 PM
We might see a dark horse emerge right under our noses, I mean if you can pull off a gritty FF (I presume that's what they're trying to do with the Chronicle director behind it)...then I'll keep my ears open...Pinch of salt though
TexasAvenger - 4/16/2013, 6:22 PM
I wish this movie wasn't happening at this moment. What is Josh Trank gonna do with Galactus and the Surfer? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Fox should have just loaned them to Marvel Studios, they'll do something worthwhile with them.
Bojac - 4/16/2013, 6:23 PM
We shall overrrrrrcommmmmmmmmmmme, we shall overcome.
Something will happen, someone up top will get cold feet.
Production will be scrapped.
F4 will return home.
TexasAvenger - 4/16/2013, 6:24 PM
@CherryBomb Hollywood needs more Amber Heard. Hell, I need more Amber Heard! lol
Dingo - 4/16/2013, 6:26 PM
HULK2099 - 4/16/2013, 6:26 PM
