In “The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are the producers. The latest chapter in the Spider-Man story is set for release in 3D on May 2, 2014.

Spidey hasn't got his silver trainers anymore! - Careful you don't get your tights wet Spidey!.
DrDoom - 5/11/2013, 2:13 PM
Garfield looks so sad. I wish it was because he got fired.
theInvincibleMexiMan - 5/11/2013, 2:32 PM
it looks like he's stopping the rhino (or pre-rhino) based on the pictures of the semi and the picture released of Giamatti earlier.
TheAbaryMan369 - 5/11/2013, 2:33 PM
Perfect Spidey suit.
SimyJo - 5/11/2013, 2:33 PM
I was totally expecting another sort of article altogether with this entitled: "Spidey takes on a semi"

:D
FoxForce5 - 5/11/2013, 2:33 PM
Could there be a certain "Rhino" behind the wheel?... Maybe...
exe - 5/11/2013, 2:34 PM
That's Paul Giamatti in the semi a.k.a the birth of Rhino! Maybe..
IronDean2099 - 5/11/2013, 2:35 PM
Anyone notice the extra padding on his knuckles? Some insulation for punching Electro, perhaps?
SimyJo - 5/11/2013, 2:43 PM
@exe

Yeah, Spidey takes on the Rhino's semi as he gets the horn!.
HeadPool420 - 5/11/2013, 2:44 PM
I'm thinking the wrap on his right hand is to keep him from hurting his hand hitting the glass while filming, even though they use breakable glass some actors are still soft. If so they will remove it during post production.
Jwe75 - 5/11/2013, 2:44 PM
It's Rhino in the truck. You can see same Adidas 3 stripes on driver in the second picture.
INSTANTJUSTICE - 5/11/2013, 2:45 PM

The previous suit looked better than this shiny version.

Cartoon22 - 5/11/2013, 2:49 PM
the mask has a hard face plate under it for when being worn . and not one when he takes it off or is holding it.. ah movie magic
kevberg - 5/11/2013, 2:53 PM
Can someone tell him to chill with the dumbass Something About Mary hair...its looks ridiculous.
kevberg - 5/11/2013, 2:55 PM
@cartoon22
it was done in a similar way in Raimis films. They actually had form fitting plates that went on his shoulders and face and knees to smooth them out so that the costume could be "wrapped on" to his body ...it kinda peeled on .
SpectacularJoShFest - 5/11/2013, 2:59 PM
Can't praise this suit enough. Is just great.
rocky - 5/11/2013, 3:01 PM
Not helemet hair but mask hair
INSTANTJUSTICE - 5/11/2013, 3:02 PM

I don't believe it looks better in day-light. It remains to be seen whether it will look better on 35mm film or just more glossy and clean. It certainly looks a little too traditional for film.

The previous suit had a better texture to it and looked good when it was grimy from climbing filthy New York buildings, like it could take a good wearing. It also looked a little less like an embarrasing body-stocking, unlike the new one.
NoAssemblyReqd - 5/11/2013, 3:09 PM
Matt Trakker's truck on M.A.S.K. was a semi called Rhino. Coincidence? Probably.
prettynucIear - 5/11/2013, 3:11 PM
yes the first suit was better (except the mask).

thenerdicon4 - 5/11/2013, 3:12 PM
first fanboys bitch about the first suit being shit, then they give fanboys what they want with a more traditional suit and people still complain. No pleasing people i guess.
SimyJo - 5/11/2013, 3:15 PM
I've always wondered how Andrew Garfield gets all that hair under the Spidey mask!? - I mean seriously!, I would of thought he'd suffer from lumpy Spidey-head syndrome!.

pintoman - 5/11/2013, 3:20 PM
ˆcan't do it to please people...just have to do the right thing. A suit that's closer to the comics is the right thing.
Facade - 5/11/2013, 3:34 PM
I'm game for this one.
Tomontherun99 - 5/11/2013, 3:36 PM
@hope420 Have you ever had to punch sugar glass? even with protective gloves on that shit still hurts
INSTANTJUSTICE - 5/11/2013, 3:38 PM

FanofSteel: "first fanboys bitch about the first suit being shit, then they give fanboys what they want with a more traditional suit and people still complain. No pleasing people i guess."

I never bitched about it.

BlueDemon - 5/11/2013, 3:43 PM
THAT COSTUME IS [frick]ING SICK! Hopefully the movie will match up to the costume.
bbarber2323 - 5/11/2013, 3:44 PM
Check out the chick walking behind Garfield. She has a pouch full of the eye pieces, and she's holding what I think is that hard piece that goes on his head before he pulls the mask over.
TheSuperguy - 5/11/2013, 3:47 PM
The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Godzilla are all my most anticipated movies of 2014. This looks pretty cool.
PLUSH - 5/11/2013, 3:47 PM
I liked the first suit better, oh well..
storyteller - 5/11/2013, 3:48 PM
I wonder if he's just sleepy.
sameoldthing - 5/11/2013, 3:48 PM
New suit looks great..wish Spider image on his back was like the comics..stay true to the original & ya can't go wrong.
DaVinci31 - 5/11/2013, 3:52 PM
That looks like the Stark Industries motorcycle we saw supposedly captured on set.
beane2099 - 5/11/2013, 3:57 PM
I was all set to make a joke about Spidey taking a semi, but this article seems to be in good hands.
theowl - 5/11/2013, 4:05 PM
@theSHOCKER - relax dude..
Bkams - 5/11/2013, 4:08 PM
Is it the truck with Giamalli inside? Spidey vs pre-Rhino?
thewolfx - 5/11/2013, 4:14 PM
@prettynuclear

Hey your back and still blind as a bat with downs

Thats great but you can tell you are the minority

I dont see how anyone who claims to be a spiderman fan can honestly not like classic spidey infavor of basketball man.

agentmi5 - 5/11/2013, 4:26 PM
Nice facepalm lol
prettynucIear - 5/11/2013, 4:37 PM
@wolfsux

you're the real spidey fan right? because you trash this movie endlessly
SweatyHands - 5/11/2013, 4:43 PM
It is the Rhino's truck. You can see the stripes of his jumpsuit through the front window.
