“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” picks up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014. In addition to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on other iconic Marvel characters including “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

I think you should tell us whatever else you heard. haha

But i guess that's an okay way for them to meet. Kinda weird on Caps part, almost seems kinda stalkerish, unless he's on a mission to recruit him.

Would've been better if Sam was a pimping a chick out to cap.

Sounds like a really good scene. I like it. Soulful and a good indicator of the tone of the film.
AmazingFantasy - 5/17/2013, 3:25 AM
nice, good find
DoctorDoak - 5/17/2013, 3:27 AM
Awesome. I'm so pumped for this -- more than any other movie right now.
DCMarvelFreshman - 5/17/2013, 3:34 AM
@BatmanRobinNightwing I doubt, but I wouldn't mind either. It's spoiler heavy stuff. About as major as the Iron Man 3 twist...maybe even bigger.
Canon38 - 5/17/2013, 3:34 AM
Sam needs to tell Steve to avoid Twilight.
Jolt17 - 5/17/2013, 3:36 AM
It sounds good, and it can as well be a great scene, depending on the execution. I'm not sure about Steve's sudden departure, though, as that kind of makes his meeting (stalking?) with Sam pointless, but I'm confident that the final product has a lot more to offer. So excited for this; good stuff, Fresh!

That's awesome! Any reference to Nirvana is an immediate win!
JGAR - 5/17/2013, 4:10 AM
Ok, uh...mice to meet you.
TheAbaryMan369 - 5/17/2013, 4:20 AM
Yes. Nirvana reference...... Maybe AC/DC reference later on?
LFANCH - 5/17/2013, 4:27 AM
@DCMarvelFreshman Thank you for not posting the spoiler. Even if you put heavy spoiler tags on it, between now and the time of release it's inevitable that some douche will eventually talk about it in the comments section and ruin it for everybody who tried to avoid it.
UrbanKnight - 5/17/2013, 4:45 AM
Can't wait for this movie
ParisSun - 5/17/2013, 4:47 AM
I personallly don't think I want much more of this movie spoiled like IM3 was so I'm going to be real careful from now on out. I don't mind this scene because alot will depend on the execution. But I like what I'm hearing so far.

I've always wondered if anyone would deal with how much of pop culture Cap would have missed (Nirvana, Star Wars). That's a very good sign they are dealing with this.

I think the most interesting tell of this scene is that Sam is not a member of SHIELD at this time. So are we going to get a Falcon origin story as well? A lot going on in this movie.

I also love the dig by Black Widow. Again it's all in the delivery but some funny stuff there.

The Russos are really good at bringing wit, comedy and great dialogue on Community. So far, with what little I've seen, I'm slowly coming back from the edge on them being picked as directors. Community is a fantastic show and may be the best comedy on television, just not sure if the Russo's can delivery the heavy action that this film will require.

So far my most anticipated movie of Phase 2 outside of the Avengers 2.
Gary8264 - 5/17/2013, 5:04 AM
I like the route they are goin'.... really didn' want 'em to introduce "Snap Wilson" haha And as far as music, hell introduce Cap to some Seger.

Awesome! Evans looks massive too.

Also thanks DCMF for not posting the heavy spoilers.

Im-im-im too weak.
ParisSun - 5/17/2013, 5:31 AM
^^^
Yeah, if they start revealing to many spoilers this early then I'll just have to avoid this site until the movie comes out.

I can't trust the DC trolls not to leak the spoilers on every thread even if it has absolutely nothing to do with Winter Soldier. I would be totally pissed if they do to this movie what they did to Iron Man 3.

TheBoss117 - 5/17/2013, 5:38 AM
That's one badass Vette.

MARVEL Studios seems to always have somekind of car manufactuer deal for their movies. It was Acura in Thor and The Avengers, and Audi for the Iron Man franchise.
Excel - 5/17/2013, 5:42 AM
@ Paris Sun, found this on YouTube, enjoyed this episode and gives me confidence in the Russo brothers.

PeterDarker121 - 5/17/2013, 6:50 AM
@DCMarvelFreshman EXCELLENT "scoop" and @Khan's right about the "soulful tone" of the scene. If the rest of the script is this smart, this looks to be another winner for the MCU.

And you're dead on about not posting any heavy spoilers about this movie for now. In fact, I don't want to know ANY plot twists and turns until the film comes out!

Marvin Gaye's Trouble Man' Soundtrack lmao
superotherside - 5/17/2013, 6:54 AM
Good find bro!

Can't wait to see this scene! Wondering what the other stuff is...
ParisSun - 5/17/2013, 6:55 AM
@Robbeatzzz:
That would suck. You think they would go to Washington DC just to delete the scene in the park.

Anyway, I wonder how they will explain away Hawkeye since it appears that Black Widow is going to be Steve's handler. I hope we see some action with Cap on his motorcycle.
NoAssemblyReqd - 5/17/2013, 6:58 AM
@ParisSun

If rumors are true about Renner not returning, I would not be surprised if we never hear about Hawkeye again. Fortunately (or perhaps unfortunately for Renner), the character lifts right out without disrupting anything, except perhaps for some hinted-at relationship with Widow.
CorronZenith30 - 5/17/2013, 7:09 AM
Cheers guys, had fun making the pic
ParisSun - 5/17/2013, 7:25 AM
@NoAssemblyReqd

I don't mind if Renner is gone. But I'm not fond of recasting or a character just vanishing without explanation. I don't think they have to really deal with it in Winter Soldier but you do wonder if they will address it since, like you stated, Avengers hinted at some type of relationship.

I am kind of shocked we haven't gotten any other set photos of Cap in his suit since the first photos were released. Think about how much we have seen Spiderman in his suit already. Commander Rodgers suit or traditional suit, I just hope we don't get Cap running around in his plain clothes most of the movie.

Tymminator - 5/17/2013, 7:37 AM
@DCMarvelFreshman,

Re: the spoiler, I just want to know how is you reaction?

Did you take it like "Damn, that sounds awesome!" Or "Damn, that that can cause controversy....some may love this, some may hate this" ?
GodzillaKart - 5/17/2013, 9:00 AM
Sounds solid.
