In “The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are the producers. The latest chapter in the Spider-Man story is set for release in 3D on May 2, 2014.

MarvelWeiner - 5/27/2013, 11:42 AM
first webb turns the lizard into godzilla, now its looks like the same thing is gunna happen to rhino
FightAs0ne - 5/27/2013, 11:51 AM
Webb didn't turn the Lizard into Godzilla. Godzilla at least had some form of a snout.
Extremis - 5/27/2013, 11:52 AM
Just wait till the final cgi is done.stop whining guys.
kevberg - 5/27/2013, 12:02 PM

Spider-Man " hey kinda,...ya wanted to be like me? well ...Go Get him!"

Too bad this movie is wasting good actors on a movie with a terrible lead actor
ManofSteel23 - 5/27/2013, 12:12 PM

What Supes2013 said.
Seejay - 5/27/2013, 12:19 PM

Cool motion capture. But Rhino will be huge. Like 5 meters tall.
marvel72 - 5/27/2013, 12:19 PM
it does look like a f*cked up way of doing the cgi,i'll have to wait & see some actual footage before passing judgement.
CharacterAssassin - 5/27/2013, 12:20 PM
The partial Rhino suit looks a bit too big.
thewonderer - 5/27/2013, 12:21 PM
Seriously, why does there need to be a little kid in every superhero movie now?
Amazing512 - 5/27/2013, 12:25 PM
I think that little kid is getting more screen time than Garfield hahahaaha but seriously, this looks great. I love how massive they're seemingly making Rhino
ScarletVendetta - 5/27/2013, 12:26 PM
One word: That costume!!! (ok two words)

I'm not a fan of Webb's TASM, but every time i see a pic of the new costume i'm like, "Come on that's as Spiderman as it can ever hope to be!!"

Goosebumps all over
kadetra - 5/27/2013, 12:31 PM
It seems like this kid is going to have too much screen time.
DioFoRio - 5/27/2013, 12:31 PM

"Seriously, why does there need to be a little kid in every superhero movie now?"

oh, I don't know....maybe because it's for kids?
SmokinIndo - 5/27/2013, 12:34 PM
Are people seriously complaining about making a guy called the RHINO too big?
Nomis1800 - 5/27/2013, 12:35 PM
Hate the kid already.
DioFoRio - 5/27/2013, 12:37 PM
p.s. Wondy I know you're not the only one saying that. Just seems like yall are trolling yerselves. And Holy Crap the Rhino is going to be HUGE judging from the size of that rig! That's gonna look sick on screen! Some wide angle spidey bounding over the rhino as he tears up the street!
ShadowTheIronKnight - 5/27/2013, 12:37 PM
Naw forreal wat's with tha kid?!
xfan320 - 5/27/2013, 12:38 PM
Hey guys, here's an interesting theory pertaining to the "too clunky" complaints of the mo cap suit:

Maybe that's intentional...CLEARLY this is a sequence involving a mechanical Rhino suit. Now we have already seen set photos of the Rhino heist of a brown serum (rumored to be the gene splicing rhino mix..)

So I'm just sayin, its looking like he's going to probably face off against spidey SEVERAL times in the film as THREE versions of the RHINO!!! (A human gangster, the clunky mechanical suit, and than finally, perhaps a fully transformed Giamatti!

I frickin LOVE these new spider man villains. Fingers crossed..
kadetra - 5/27/2013, 12:39 PM
I would be happy if this movie tops spider-man 2 as the best marvel movie.
IronLantern79 - 5/27/2013, 12:42 PM
I'm really curious to see how this looks. I think this may look pretty damn cool.

CaptainProg - 5/27/2013, 12:45 PM
It’s a stupid idea to have the kid there. Reminds me of IM 3... which was shit!
xfan320 - 5/27/2013, 12:45 PM
I'm imagining this Rhino suit to look something akin to 'Iron Monger' in IM1..

That would explain the lack of tattoo on his forehead yesterday, the cockpit probably opens up in the front...
DioFoRio - 5/27/2013, 12:47 PM
Xfan@ That would be sick!!!

@Tea...you the man baby!lmao
xinstituto - 5/27/2013, 1:05 PM
Cant Sony just forget this movie? shit!
xinstituto - 5/27/2013, 1:14 PM
this spiderman version seems like a childish cartoon
Brainiac13 - 5/27/2013, 1:21 PM
@SuperCat

I would not be worried....this will look cool....it will be better than the Lizard.
Parkerluckpersonified - 5/27/2013, 1:22 PM
Ok I've been an avid Spiderman reader for years and years and was a fan of all the cartoons and games as a kid. I loved the last film and think people should stop whinging. They got spidey's character spot-on. I thought the lizard was a bit dumb hulk but would have been awesome if they-d included the bits with his son that they cut out.

With regards to this specific complaint, the rhino has always been a big guy as far as I'm concerned, especially in the ultimate comics that we know Webb loves the art from.

Don't like it, don't see the film
ROMsnotdead - 5/27/2013, 1:32 PM
hope they'll find the right balance between classic/mechanical rhino. whatever they go for,i know Giamatti will deliver. He's an excellent actor with a huge career even though he rarely got main roles.
novaprime - 5/27/2013, 1:35 PM
Why Are there adding Children in These movies, Ironman 3 Sucked with that Kid in The Movie, this takes away the realism, hope they make rhino a Joke!!!
novaprime - 5/27/2013, 1:37 PM
40th AND PARK IS WERE THEY FILMED AVENGERS AT!!! I WAS THERE
BANE5000 - 5/27/2013, 1:37 PM
How or why is this even The Rhinos' suit?
thescarletspeedzter - 5/27/2013, 1:37 PM
so..they're using this to create The Rhino..? I thought that they were using green screen but yeah whatever, at least they know what they're doing
