Call Sheet Teases GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Details!

Describing minor scenes that involve Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon and a couple other characters with Marvel Comics origins, part of a call sheet for Guardians of the Galaxy has emerged from the U.K. set!

Marvel may be waiting 'til San Diego Comic-Con to make the announcement, but the studio entered its fourth week of production on Guardians of the Galaxy today in the U.K. And with the exception of one location, a farmland being used for “Yondu's spaceship crash,” the majority of filming for the James Gunn-directed adaptation is on closed sets; making the following finding a bit of a surprise.

Sections of a call sheet for Guardians of the Galaxy have been uploaded to yourprops.com and feature two very vague scenes. Taking place on the exterior of an Xandar Mall, the first bit involves, “Peter Quill leaving Bereet, then flirting with Ti Asha on his way to a Broker's Shop,” while the second follows, “Rocket Raccoon's vid shield Point-of-View of Peter Quill, Bereet and Ti Asha.”

Despite how vaguely the scenes are described, the call sheet does mention some things that likely have origins within the Marvel mythology: planet Xandar is home to the Nova Corps in the comics, Bereet is an alien techno-artist whom became close friends with the incredible Hulk, and Ti Asha Ra is the last female of the Korbinites which is a species that also belongs to the famous Beta Ray Bill.

Those possible Marvel nods are unlikely to be pivotal, but Peter Quill going to a Broker's Shop is intriguing as it implies that Star-Lord has something he wants to trade. This seems to coincide with the unconfirmed logline for Guardians of the Galaxy last year that said the film follows a “U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.” Fans speculate that that something is Infinity Gems. And background extras cast as Kyln Inmates & Guards support the "ex-cons" bit. What do you think?

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Ophelia Lovibond, John C. Reilly, Enzo Cilenti, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan and Glenn Close with Benicio Del Toro, Guardians of the Galaxy is written & directed by James Gunn, and is set to be released in theaters on August 1, 2014.

Prefer the Xmen news

But the cast of this is pretty great too. Love Chris Pratt. Cautiously optimistic

Man, this is a high pressure movie. I think Marvel wants to go beyond purely formulaic super hero films and this is kind of their one chance. God luck, guys!

I'm not the biggest fan of the cosmic era but even this gives me chills, much better than the recent news from Fox and their [frick]-ups.

Ace101 - 7/16/2013, 1:05 AM
FOR KORBIN!!! its pretty much garanteed that we will be getting beta ray bill on screen in Thor 3. What with korbin being one of the worlds asgard protected.
SugarYumYum - 7/16/2013, 1:08 AM
The trailer is going to have to come with a disclaimer about potential mind blowing.

Don't know what the FoX-men news is and frankly don't give a shit.
