"What is it called?" Gwyneth Paltrow asked HitFix during their interview for her upcoming film, in which she stars alongside The Hulk Mark Ruffulo, Thanks for Sharing. "'Age of Ultron,' okay. Well, no, I don't think [I'll be in it]. I haven't heard any...my phone has not rung for 'Avengers 2.'" The interviewer then asked if she'd like to suit up in the "Rocket" armor, referring to Pepper's own Rescue suit. "That would be fun," said Paltrow. "[But] I thought Rescue was her name."

So far starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen in negotiations to join, The Avengers: Age of Ultron is directed by Joss Whedon from his screenplay, and is slated to begin production in March 2014 and release on May 1, 2015.

So, where is the video or the article?
seyrie - 9/16/2013, 3:58 PM
Yeah i don't expect Pepper to show up in Avengers 2, but i do agree with her about the lack of female superheroes. We need more of that.
JatevinM - 9/16/2013, 4:13 PM
I dont mind Pepper showing up in Avengers 2 because of the role she takes in the company but i would have a problem with her suiting up in the movie especially since Rhodey hasn't even been acknowledged in the Avengers.
SnapperCarr - 9/16/2013, 4:18 PM
Stark/Potts is one of the best CBM couples
web3d - 9/16/2013, 4:22 PM
My favorite character in Iron Man 3 was Pepper's abs.
staypuffed - 9/16/2013, 4:26 PM
Didn't she say she wasn't in the first Avengers, and then sure enough, there she was?

It would be awesome to see her as Rescue, imo.
Not sure if that's gonna happen, with Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver, plus apparently beefed up roles for Hawkeye and Black Widow.

BLackandYellow

I don't see how that puts her in the spotlight...
CherryBomb - 9/16/2013, 4:27 PM
Ah man, Tony and Pepper are my favourite CBM couple.
Gwyneth and RDJ have great chemistry.

They're a CBM couple where the relationship is pretty much equal, their personalities bounce off of each other.

So yes, I want to see more Pepper Potts. She's a great character played perfectly by Paltrow.
I remember when she said she didn't receive a call about Avengers and probably wasn't going to be in it.

There's still plenty of time before production goes underway so I'm sure she'll be back, especially if Stark is creating Ultron (according to rumours)
BANE5000 - 9/16/2013, 4:27 PM
Im sure she'll be in it, maybe a small role like in The Avengers, She and Tony are a serious item now, Tony and Pepper are a package deal :]
AlexLaChiusa - 9/16/2013, 4:28 PM
@staypuffed Yeah she denied being in the film for ages and then it was confirmed when she was shown in one of the international trailers.

She'll probably pop up for a scene or 2 in Age of Ultron.

Seriously man, Gwyneth got in shape for the role, more power to her :D
caroldanvers - 9/16/2013, 4:36 PM
i'm too lazy to watch the video but can they have pepper being rescue already? or anything, i don't know, i just want her to suit up and kick some ass honestly
ThePowerCosmic - 9/16/2013, 4:37 PM
Don't care either way.
anthonyEstark - 9/16/2013, 4:39 PM
@Barney Nothin' suits me like a suit!
GliderMan - 9/16/2013, 4:48 PM
NO NO NO NO. BRING BACK LIV TYLER.
PsyGuy - 9/16/2013, 4:48 PM
I really hope she pops up for a little!

and FACEPALM to the interviewer calling Rescue "Rocket"...
at least she corrected him.
dibbleNdabble - 9/16/2013, 4:52 PM
They need to just have a big event with all Marvel characters in one movie.
third3ye - 9/16/2013, 4:54 PM
I think they'll see how well TWS is received before determining which female supporting cast they want to borrow from the solo films. My bet is on Emily VanCamp getting a bigger role in A2.
thewonderer - 9/16/2013, 4:55 PM
Is it too much to ask for maybe supporting characters of any of the other Avengers to appear?

Like seriously, it didn't cross anyones mind.

HellsHammer - 9/16/2013, 5:07 PM
We don't need her in it
CherryBomb - 9/16/2013, 5:07 PM
Yes!
Liv Tyler should appear too!
I liked her as Betty.

SuperAwesomeBadassness - 9/16/2013, 5:14 PM
She should've died in IM3. I'm tired of seein her face.
McNyagano - 9/16/2013, 5:17 PM
Wouldn't mind at at all. Besides she looked sexy is the Mark 42 <3

crawley - 9/16/2013, 5:22 PM
I'd rather see Falcon and War Machine. They're real Avengers.
Joeyfxx - 9/16/2013, 5:29 PM
So which Avenger is she gonna be on?
Inhuman - 9/16/2013, 5:30 PM
Pepper can still show up but as a voice. I think JARVIS gets destroyed by Ultron and Tony has to make a new AI system called PEPPER. Its in the comics check it out
Inhuman - 9/16/2013, 5:35 PM
For the record, as far as the new Ant-Man movie, I hope its Hank Pym and not Scott Lang because lets be honest, nobody cares about Scott Lang
Superior - 9/16/2013, 5:41 PM
I think she could fit within the story, especially with all these theories on how Tony Stark is Ultron's creator/JARVIS becoming Ultron. She'd most likely be placed in danger again like always. But when it comes to being an Avenger, I don't think she will become one.

@Inhuman, or why not just have Pepper in the flesh?

CyberBishop - 9/16/2013, 5:43 PM
@ Gusto, LOL at that pix... I damn near lost it at baby Sloth.
GodzillaKart - 9/16/2013, 5:56 PM
Paltrow as Pepper, and her chemistry with RDJ's Stark, has been one of the best parts of the MCU.
aztecRaingod - 9/16/2013, 5:59 PM
Just please, lets let anything that had something to do with IM3, die with IM3.
Marty - 9/16/2013, 6:21 PM
I would love to see her in A2 and kick some ass. She also has great chemistry with RDJ and their scenes are always fun to watch. I would actually bet some good money on the possibility that she will be in A2!
Super12 - 9/16/2013, 6:54 PM
She seems pretty cool. I'd love to see all the leading ladies in Avengers 2. Imagine seeing Betty Ross, Jane Foster, and Pepper Potts all in the same room with their men. Could make for some hilarious moments
supermarioworldE - 9/16/2013, 6:55 PM
She'll be there to save Tony's ass......again.
Lizardking310 - 9/16/2013, 6:59 PM
Rescue was a terrible creation. Leave pepper alone she rocked in IM but got worse with every new movie
Ineedrevelation - 9/16/2013, 7:06 PM

Ummm... nah.

They can keep her.

Never really cared for her character except in the 1st one.

She never took it serious and she's just an ass in general.

A bitch in all her interviews. Like she's above all this.

Total jerk
113 - 9/16/2013, 7:09 PM
I'm not a big Gwyneth Paltrow fan generally, but I have to say that Marvel's casting of her as Pepper Potts was brilliant.

She is the quintessential Pepper. And I think next to RDJ she is the best casting choice Marvel has made in ALL of their movies. No one else fit the role so completely, so perfectly.

So here's to you Ms. Paltrow
Liderc - 9/16/2013, 7:11 PM
Pepper is actually one of the better characters. She's capable and willing to stand up to Tony. She was maybe the only redeeming character in Iron Man 3, which was just a god awful film.

I'm surprised they don't use her more to be honest. She must not be interested in working all that much because she's clearly a fan favorite. She brings men in, for the obvious reasons, and female fans can relate to her.

I'd expect Marvel/Disney to recognize her importance to the franchise.
