Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. It opens in theaters November 8, 2013.

JamesMan - 10/7/2013, 3:09 PM
"The Return of an Avenger" just sounds like the most awkward tagline ever to me, but it's a better tagline than people saying "the king is back."

Anyway, seeing more Malekith and action is fine for me! Nice TV spot. Only a month left here in the US!

JDUKE25 - 10/7/2013, 3:12 PM
The TV spot looked pretty good. Those two pics though don't look that great. Loki and Thor look good, the background is just horrible looking.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 10/7/2013, 3:15 PM
It looks like they tried to make Darcy as annoying as possible in the little screen time she has.
NovaCorpsFan - 10/7/2013, 3:16 PM
What is it 2 weeks for me here in the UK? :-P
GUNSMITH - 10/7/2013, 3:21 PM

NeoBaggins - 10/7/2013, 3:40 PM
Oh, it's pronounced (Fygee). Interesting.

Batcatgasperment91 - 10/7/2013, 3:45 PM
Lokis pose reminds of mitilda lol
MCUfan1 - 10/7/2013, 3:48 PM
Why did they added more loki? Is it necessary to the film.
Liverpool4life - 10/7/2013, 3:51 PM
I thought it was pronounced to rhyme with beige (shade of light brown).
Liverpool4life - 10/7/2013, 3:55 PM
Love that short but sweet footage. Yes, Loki is necessary. He provides a point of view that moves the story along.
Neek2086 - 10/7/2013, 3:56 PM
@NeoBaggins yeah I swore it was pronounced (Fedge) for the longest
gambgel - 10/7/2013, 3:58 PM
not even one simple promo pic of Thor with his helmet

how insecure, Marvel
McNyagano - 10/7/2013, 4:05 PM
@mantinium

WOTAN - 10/7/2013, 4:56 PM
That mid air hammer grab was just sick! cant wait to see this.
WOTAN - 10/7/2013, 5:04 PM
From the clips that I have seen this movie looks much better than IM3.
MightyZeus - 10/7/2013, 5:10 PM
Damn that was awesome. This movie is going to be the best Marvel film after The Avengers!!!
BasedThanos - 10/7/2013, 5:48 PM
Looks up they're (finally) beefing up Thor's powers in this film. He looked like a big wimp in the Avengers. Looks like this movie is gonna change that.
aztecRaingod - 10/7/2013, 5:53 PM
@armoredasgardian

Thor was stabbed by Loki in the Avengers. He was feeling the effects for the rest of the movie.
JoJo1982 - 10/7/2013, 6:07 PM
I wanna see Thor continue to have some epic fights, much like Thor fight Iron Man
BasedThanos - 10/7/2013, 6:11 PM
@aztecRaingod
Im talking about before that. He punched iron man in the face and barely dented his helmet. A punched from an enraged Thor should have killed him. Not to mention Iron man crashing into him and tossing him around like nothing. That was complete bullshit no matter what anyone says. And just odd shit like diving out of the way of gunfire. He's an Asgardian/Elder God his durability is just if not more than the Hulk's. And Mjølnir barely cracking the glass in the cage. He just overall felt very underpowered and downplayed compared to Thor in the comics and even his solo film. Seriously that hammer smashed half of freakin Jotunheim but Iron man shrugged a hit from it off like it was nothing.
BasedThanos - 10/7/2013, 6:14 PM
Now that I'm thinking about It I might ask about that for the Skype question. How Thor's powers and abilities will be portrayed in this movie in comparison to the first Thor and the Avengers.
BasedThanos - 10/7/2013, 6:26 PM
I wonder if that's how marvel is going to do it.
Thor in solo films: super powerful, accurately portrayed
Thor in crossover films: dumbed down pansy.
ctsketch - 10/7/2013, 6:43 PM
@armoredasgaedian

That's how Thor is treated in comic crossovers lately.
NeoBaggins - 10/7/2013, 6:45 PM
@Neek2086

lol Me too. Like the color beige with an F.
Maestro - 10/7/2013, 6:54 PM
