In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves. In theaters June 14, 2013.

marvelstudios - 10/28/2013, 8:21 AM
Awesome movie. Best CBM villain ever. Unlike many other villains, Zod had a genuine cause.
blvdnoise - 10/28/2013, 8:23 AM
Snyder's voice makes me all smiley..

my second favorite superhero film of the year behind The Wolverine, this has beena solid year for superhero films,it started out solid imo with iron man 3, got better for me with man of steel and the wolverine and hopefully it will end well with thor, Zod was my favorite comic book villain of the year but the best villain of the year still for me is KHAN
aztecRaingod - 10/28/2013, 8:25 AM

Michael Shannon came to my school a few days ago. He is definitely one of the creepiest, most intimidating guys ive ever seen. Stared people down when they asked him questions. Friggin hilarious tho, hes got this great dry sense of humor
Bighead - 10/28/2013, 8:30 AM
I'm surprised the trolls have'nt woken up yet. Don't they smell a DC related article.
Bighead - 10/28/2013, 8:32 AM
I'll give it it a few more seconds. 3-2-1
Nomis - 10/28/2013, 8:37 AM
Movie of the YEAR!

Only Comic Book Movie that don't treat the genre like a bad joke!
SpectacularJoShFest - 10/28/2013, 8:38 AM
When's the Blu-ray coming out?
dannramm113 - 10/28/2013, 8:39 AM
Anyone remember the supposed Martian Manhunter mention? Was that a real thing in a deleted scene or was that just a rumor?
soforizo - 10/28/2013, 8:40 AM
@ezio619

Yup, comic book movies every year... it's a great time!
DrDoom - 10/28/2013, 8:43 AM
Great movie
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 8:44 AM
soforizo-exactly and its not just us comic book fans that get excited for it, the general audience does aswell
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 8:45 AM
Nomis-i dont agree with the bad joke comment, but to each his own, anyway hopefully thor is good, aslong it doesnt not overdo the humor TOO MUCH,then i think it will be good
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 8:47 AM
DrDoom-what did you think of iron man 3,the wolverine and man of steel
Prime - 10/28/2013, 8:53 AM
Why is it taking so long to get here?
DrDoom - 10/28/2013, 8:55 AM
@ezio

I think both Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel are great

Wolverine was passable
SuperCat - 10/28/2013, 8:57 AM
Think it's out Nov. 12th.
Nomis1800 - 10/28/2013, 8:57 AM
Great film!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really really really hope they'll use IMAX for Superman/Batman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ManofSteel22 - 10/28/2013, 8:57 AM
i love how cavill says I rather than clark when he is referring to his character
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 8:58 AM
one thing i will say about these superhero films:The casting is always great and they always give great performances
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 8:58 AM
Mrmegadeath-dude movies can be light films with substance, you always come here and start a war
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:04 AM
there tons of films that are light and stillhave substance suach as the first star was, indiana jones 1 and 3 etc.
TheWolverine08 - 10/28/2013, 9:05 AM
The Wolverine didn't treat the comic book genre like a bod joke. Anyways, Man of Steel was pretty great!
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:05 AM
ezio619-i know that but so what if it has tons of humor,so many comic books today, especially marvel comics have humor in them ,daredevil, hawkeye etc, and those books are lauded because they still have a good story and good arc for the characters so as long as they can do that, it will be good
ALmazing - 10/28/2013, 9:05 AM
There is no doubt this movie looked beautiful, but it's also guilty of being visual exhausting. Hopefully Snyder is less overindulgent with his Batman movie.
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:09 AM
and plus people that i have taked to and heard from who didnt like iron man 3 or thought it was alright gave it another chance and they liked or loved it because theycould process the dramatic and emotional scenes and the movie and felt they were well done, now i do think especially during the final battle they overdid the humor and do hope thor doesnt overdo it and it doesnt bother me in the film
InfiniteMonkey - 10/28/2013, 9:09 AM
Have another pint mate. I'll have two. Its never too early to have a pint.
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:10 AM
Mrmegadeath-yeah ,but people still love those films and consider them classics ,not just people who werearound during that time but even the younger generation of today
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:11 AM
Mrmegadeath- i am not shitting on it,i thought it was really good
Lemons - 10/28/2013, 9:11 AM
Easily one of my top 3 CBM movies.
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:16 AM
Mrmegadeath- wait and watch thor and form your own opinion, the reviews have said it balances the humor, action and drama well for the most of it and that it is emotional and if you still feel the way you do, then thats your opinion
ALmazing - 10/28/2013, 9:21 AM
This is how you know MrMegaDeath has lost it, he just thanked WB and Fox for making movies with integrity, he is thanking the studios that brought us classics like:
Daredevil
Elektra
fantastic 4 (1 and 2)
Catwoman
jonah hex
Green Lantern

I am starting to think you are a little bias MrMegaDeath.
HugoStrange87 - 10/28/2013, 9:22 AM
Probably so hard to act in front of green screens like that
Nomis - 10/28/2013, 9:25 AM
This...is a bad joke.

The Wolverine was just BAD!

Running away from Ninjas after talking smack about not having enough to fight him....Serious?
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:29 AM
hugostrange- yeah man, actors should get more credit for that
