Check Out This Amazing 'THANOS' Artwork From The MARVEL: WAR OF HEROES Mobile Game

It may have nothing to do with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Aleksi Briclot's Marvel: War of Heroes artwork surely has a design for the Mad Titan Thanos worthy of the big-screen. Check it out!

AGoodHonestMan - 1/17/2014, 10:05 AM
I can't wait to see him waste The Avengers and The Guardians Of The Galaxy! Heck! Throw in the Nova Corp as well!
Tuuralihn - 1/17/2014, 10:10 AM
THIS is what a menacing, godlike, apocalyptic villain should look like. Bring it on!
InfiniteMonkey - 1/17/2014, 10:16 AM

JorL5150 - 1/17/2014, 10:18 AM

It's a cosmic powered toilet for Thanos.

Sweeeeeeeet

Thanos' son is in the concept art too, I wonder if the game is based on Infinity.
jimoakley666 - 1/17/2014, 10:25 AM
That IS the cinematic design, isn't it?
Unas - 1/17/2014, 10:25 AM
@LorL5150
Actually, no one ripped off anyone. Thanos was introduced in 1973 while Darkseid was introduced in 1970-71. Know the facts. before you troll.
Logic'd.
Unas - 1/17/2014, 10:25 AM
And yes, that artwork looks great!
TheClemster - 1/17/2014, 10:26 AM

DCMarvelFreshman - 1/17/2014, 10:28 AM
@jimoakley666

The 2nd pic actually resembles Thanos' design from The Avengers concept art.
NeoBaggins - 1/17/2014, 10:28 AM
[frick]in starwars technology up. Palm hologram. Damn.

Anyway, great art, but the positioning/shape/size of his armor is extremely inconsistent/exaggerated from the first to the next picture.

@Unas,

JorL was making fun of the typical Marvel trolls. Read his whole comment. Particularly the part where he writes,

"signed,
textbook marvel zombie"

Thanos will be glorious on the Silver Screen I hope we get something in GotG
JediSuperGuy83 - 1/17/2014, 10:30 AM
Darkseid is cooler
MexicanSuperman - 1/17/2014, 10:34 AM
Looks like a video game.
Klone - 1/17/2014, 10:35 AM
Lol at the first photo. It's a PURPLE GORILLA!

@SuperGuy

Darkseid has been cooler but DC keep ruining his potential. Shame, because Darkseid could easily be a waaay better villain and Barney the Purple Dinosaur.

@those who are bringing up Darkseid in a Thanos article,. Relax, most likely you'll finally see him in Justice League Beginnings coming out in 2015.

HOLY SHIT I hope Thanos looks like that in GOTG! Darkseid is the cooler villain in my opinion but I can't wait to eventually see both of them kicking ass on the big screen!
MrReese - 1/17/2014, 10:46 AM
Like a [frick]ing boss!!
ThePowerCosmic - 1/17/2014, 10:46 AM
Being a huge Jack Kirby fan of his work with both Marvel and DC, initially Darkseid was a better character but over the years Thanos has surpassed him as a deeper, layered more interesting character.
SageMode - 1/17/2014, 10:49 AM
Anyone with CB knowledge knows that Darkseid came before Thanos, but I admire your attempt at starting some shit.
SageMode - 1/17/2014, 10:51 AM
Thanos has become a more complex and layer character than Darkseid has. But that's what Marvel does..........
Klone - 1/17/2014, 10:52 AM
@Sage

Well I'm only responding to someone else and giving my honest opinion. Marvel has definitely used Thanos a big bad much better than DC has used Darkseid. No question there. But I believe Darkseid has the potential to be much better than Thanos. Honestly, the New Gods do need heavy updating. Granny Goodness? Common... at least update Darkseid's servants because like him, they have the potential to be much better. He has three [frick]ing sons. One of them (Orion) has been written poorly by Azz, the other (Kalibak) is a joke and the third (Grayven) is very underused. At least Marvel has used Nebula and Gamora well and now we have Thane.
Klone - 1/17/2014, 10:55 AM
@Sage

Lol, typical Marvel has deeper characters bullshit. There's no such thing as an inherently deep character, only good and a bad writers.
SageMode - 1/17/2014, 10:55 AM
@THEPOWERCOSMIC

agreed
Klone - 1/17/2014, 10:56 AM
Then again, it's [frick]ing Sage. Maybe I should give up trying to have a conversation with him about the pros and cons of Marvel and DC and the potential instead of a flame war. Intruder may of been a dick a lot of the time but at least he was good for a few things around here... can't say I'm confident in Sage ever doing the same unless it's defending Marvel to high hell.
Klone - 1/17/2014, 10:57 AM
God am I annoyed at people who say DC characters have no depths... and what annoys me even more if DC themselves. Marvel has a goldmine and they know. DC does as well and they don't do shit with their characters. Even several of the big 7 are [frick]ing underused.
Klone - 1/17/2014, 10:59 AM
With Thanos they at least have done stories where he takes on the entire Universe... pisses me off how much underused and squandered potential there is at DC. Like that Superman/Wonder Woman romance. Have you ever tried reading a panel of those two, under even GOOD writers? Shit doesn't work in anyway.
ThePowerCosmic - 1/17/2014, 11:02 AM
Nothing Darkseid has done is better than The Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos Quest, Infinity, Thanos Rising or anything to do with his relationship with death.and I say that as a huge Darkseid fan...my favorite DC character...but his stories are just not as good IMO of course.
Klone - 1/17/2014, 11:03 AM
@Power

Yes, I know (not sure if you're trying to rub anything in). Which is why DC annoys me because they waste the potential of their characters. How many times have I said characters like Raven are good enough for their own series?

It seriously doesn't help when DC keeps having Superman beat up Darkseid.
