With Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell all officially locked in to play Marvel's new first family, The Fantastic Four reboot is now looking to cast its main villain, Dr. Victor von Doom. According to sources of The Wrap, 20th Century Fox and director Josh Trank have narrowed down their search to four: Sam Riley (Control), Eddie Redmayne (Les Misérables), Toby Kebbell (Wrath of the Titans), and Domhnall Gleeson (Dredd). It's also reported that Jack Huston was once considered a fifth contender, however, he is "no longer believed" to be in contention.
Three of the Dr. Doom candidates are British while Gleeson is Irish, and their ages range 30 to 34; considerably older than Mr. Fantastic's, Human Torch's and The Thing's actors. What do you think?

The Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell, and is directed by Josh Trank from a story and screenplay by Jeremy Slater and Simon Kinberg. With principal photography starting on March 31, Marvel's First Family is scheduled to return on June 19, 2015.

Movie will own, but I do NOT want Dr.Doom to be the villain again. Maybe victor as a supporting character.

Josh Trank... I believe in you!

Eddie Redmayne was great in Les Misérables and Domhnall Gleeson was pretty good in Dredd!

I like these choices.

i didnt care for the previous two fantastic four films,im indifferent towards this film right now, once we get a trailer ,i think i can then decide which side of the fence i land on, i hated, HATED their take on Dr Doom in the previous films,i didnt like julian mcmahons performance, he seemed bored and seemed to be phoning it in, he wasnt threatening, interesting or fun,i just did not like that take AT ALL,so i am happy that doom may be the villain in the film because i want a good dr doom in live action so yeah

Anyone who's seen Dead Man's Shoes or Brit miniseries Black Mirror knows what a talent Kebbel is..so I'm rooting for him. Hell, he made Wrath Of The Titans half watchable.

Dr.Doom wears a mask most of the time, so them looking "goofy" is a dumb statement.

Great, so the exact same villian for the freaking 3rd straight FF movie. Snooze fest. I don't even wanna see Dr.Doom right now. Enough is enough.

Victor Von Doom should maybe be introduced in the movie, but I think it's a mistake to make him the main villain again. They should just build up to him this time and just start off with Annihilus or someone like that. Galactus could be alluded to in a FF film, but I think he should be saved for an inevitable X-Men/FF crossover film.

F*ck this bullshit. Go straight to Galactus.

Mads Mikkelson is my dream-choice for Doctor Doom, but since they're going with younger characters I guess he wouldn't fit.

Um, why not? Maybe he can produce an Eastern European accent.

I did like his work in My Week With Marilyn.

Curious? Will the same people have a titty attack the way they did with the Mandarin when it was revealed he wouldn't be Chinese? I mean, the rationalization...er I mean justification then was that the Mandarin was supposed to be strictly Han Chinese as it was an integral part of his character. Well, Doom is supposed to be Latverian/Eastern European to the point that he rules the country and has gypsy roots.

I am just wondering since it caused so much a stir when the subject was IM3 and I'm already seeing some of the same whiners endorse an Englishman like Redmayne for the role.
