AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Spotted Filming Like It's 1940 In New London Set Photos

Filming for Avengers: Age of Ultron picked up today at the Rivoli Ballroom in London, England, where several extras were seen dressed in 1940s military garb. Observation would suggest there will be a flashback in the 2015 Marvel sequel involving Steve Rogers, which Chris Evans himself hinted at during an interview last month. However, Evans was joined by his Captain America co-star Hayley Atwell (aka Peggy Carter) for the said scene(s), but they weren't alone. A reliable source reports that British actor Paul Bettany, whose longtime Iron Man voice role J.A.R.V.I.S. will become the humanoid Vision in Age of Ultron, was also on set today. So, what exactly could this scene entail involving Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter, the Vision, and a 1940s ballroom setting? While you're thinking that over, check out some photos  taken by Jasmine Bailey and Winne Kataka.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader. The film is set for release on May 1, 2015.

Ended up re-watching The Avengers after seeing CATWS. Lots of cool hints in there about Winter Soldier.

SPOILERS

A scene after the capture of Loki where Cap found that SHIELD was storing Hydra equipment.

Tony tries hacking SHIELD and discovers they were making WMD's like the ones in Winter Soldier but not before SHIELD stops the hack.

A rogue SHIELD agent that Fury had no knowledge attempted to fire the missile to blow up New York without the High Council information even being released by Fury.

A 5 min deleted scene called "Man out of Time" where Steve was looking through files of his old commrades, but 2 things stood out:

- Margaret "Peggy" Carter's information was there which is how he knew where to find her in Winter Soldier.

- Howard Stark and his wife's death were on the same exact date (December 17, 1991) . In Winter Soldier it's revealed Hydra had a hand in their deaths.

What the heck is happening in this scene? Vision and Cap in the 40's with Peggy at a ballroom before they agreed to go on a date? o.O
MrNiklander - 4/11/2014, 2:34 PM

charlie2094 - 4/11/2014, 2:37 PM

ezio619 - 4/11/2014, 2:40 PM
this is interesting..i am alittle worried about this film maybe having too much stuff going on....but i think joss will be able to balance it all..its definitely interesting..maybe cap is sleeping, thining about peggy and the dance they never had or maybe Cap is knocked out and vision helps him
ezio619 - 4/11/2014, 2:40 PM
ShadowPimp-that would be very interesting!!!
GliderMan - 4/11/2014, 2:42 PM
This movie just became perfect. Captain America is my favorite superhero, and they're gonna have flashbacks to the war? Um, can I get a HELL YES??
TheAmazingSpiderWill - 4/11/2014, 2:42 PM
I'm thinking Vision might be giving Cap that dance with Peggy, finally, through a simulation of some kind??? Maybe???
AsgardianHobo - 4/11/2014, 2:44 PM
interested as [frick]!

I'm a little broke right now, anybody wanna front me some cash for a Hydra mug? This way i can drink with authority
GliderMan - 4/11/2014, 2:45 PM
Yeah I'm worried about it having too much going on too, but who cares, we're still gonna love it.

I think it'd be a very Whedon-ic sense of humor thing to do to make Ultron Siri. But I doubt he'll actually be any "real" person, he's just Ultron.
Bekss - 4/11/2014, 2:46 PM
Stark took the voice and personality of Jarvis from Bettany's character (maybe the human torch), who was a friend of his father or even a relative.
No time travel, it would be too much for a movie. The time gem needs a full movie. Time travel is really tricky.
Where are all those theories with the mandarin and time travel BS?
DrDoom - 4/11/2014, 2:46 PM
Hayley Atwell is in Age of Ultron?

OH SHIT YEAH
ezio619 - 4/11/2014, 2:47 PM
IM JUST SO EXCITED FOR ANYTHING MARVEL STUDIOS RIGHT NOW, call me a marvelite or whatever,i dont care, but after Winter Soldier,im just so excited,i hope guardians is good and successful, same with this, Ant Man and Cap 3!!!
JoshWilding - 4/11/2014, 2:48 PM
Has to be Jim Hammond related, as the Vision's body was created from that of the android original Human Torch.
McNyagano - 4/11/2014, 2:50 PM
@Josh

Good thinking buddy. Well if that's the case, then it makes sense now. Can Marvel use the android original Human Torch though?
ProfessorX - 4/11/2014, 2:50 PM
I vote dream sequence. Peggy and Steve will get their dance. No clue how Vision fits in though.
Barchiel - 4/11/2014, 2:52 PM
Paul Bettany will play the original 'Human Torch' like JoshWilding mentioned.

AWESOME!
MrMartinMarvel - 4/11/2014, 2:55 PM
@McNyagano There was a Human Torch easter egg in TFA, so I'd assume yes.
MsDarkPhoenix - 4/11/2014, 2:55 PM

Mothchild - 4/11/2014, 2:56 PM
maybe Scarlet Witch is hexing them back into time
MrMartinMarvel - 4/11/2014, 2:57 PM
@Phoeny Have fun with that.
TheInsider - 4/11/2014, 2:58 PM
maybe this has something to do with scarlet witch altering reality?
Barchiel - 4/11/2014, 2:59 PM
@Mothchild: It's probably a just flashback. If the Avengers do ANY time travel, they'd probably save it for a villain like Kang the Conqueror (since that's his thing).
Barchiel - 4/11/2014, 2:59 PM
@TheInsider: lol no.
ZakkPL - 4/11/2014, 3:00 PM
union jack?
Priest - 4/11/2014, 3:02 PM
Remember, Vision was made with the android body of the original Human Torch, which we could see at the Stark Expo in Captain America: The First Avenger.
MrCBM56 - 4/11/2014, 3:02 PM
RDJ HAS A TWITTER NOW? Oh shit.
