Surprised Peter Jackson and company hasn't jumped on this now that The Hobbit films are over.

My experience a with MotU come from morning reruns when I was a kid. I don't know if it has the same draw as things like Transformers, He-Man was the personification of 80s cheese, I don't think it'll work nowadays. Nice find Minty!

I just want a Kick-Ass 3 to complete my trilogy.

So in review:

Transformers: shat upon.

Ninja Turtles: shat upon even though I thought the Turtles had the personalities down pat.

Will this be next?

Cheers @DEVLIN712 :) I know it's a little bit hypocritical to write an article and then bash the movie its about, but I have to agree with you Dev. I don't think this will hold up well either. The GI Joe movies have been forgettable so-far, and, well... we all know about what Transformers has become ;)

I'd also agree with a few people on here, Wadlow didn't impress me with Kick Ass 2, can't see him performing wonders with this movie either.

i see why kick ass 2 didn't do well you had a scene in were she made bully throw up instead of just kicking her ass and that scene was too gross

I wasn't a fan of KA2, so my hopes that this movie will be good aren't that great.

@blitzkreg - I see Peter Jackson more so making a Rifts or Wheel of Time movie. It surprises me no one has turned those books into a movie franchise yet.

Sony have the rights for the movie? I thought DC has it because theyre the ones who are producing the current comics?

It's like the phone conversation went something like this...

Agent: They want you to write the screenplay to the Dolph Lundgren He-Man film. But the studio needs an answer now. They start shooting two months from now!

Screenwriter: Brah, I wrote a script for Jack Kirby's New Gods back when I had dreams and wasn't broken by Hollywood. Give me one day to change some things and I'll have a first draft for them tomorrow night!

Agent: Great! That'll probably be the final draft too because the Director told me quality wasn't important.

Screenwriter: Wanna do some coke to celebrate?

Agent: Meet me at da club playa!
