Still not completely sold on this "remake", but that trailer actually looked damn good.

Haters be damned. That was pretty phucking awesome!
I love Ash, but I can live without the character if the movie is good.

I wanna love this, but they're making it the same old generic horror movies that have plagued the genre for the last few years. It's missing that odd, mischievous nature of the first one. I really hope I'm wrong, but the moment they decided against Ash or an Ash-like character, I lost interest.

The Evil Dead remake looks more bloody & brutl! I had to look away a couple of times. Looks good though.

Looks pretty nasty. Hopefully it'll be pretty good, 'cause it doesn't look too bad. Hate people complaining that it's not funny when this is a remake of the first film which wasn't meant to be funny, it was pretty horrible (in a good and awesome way)

Alright, I admit it.. I am one of the few who didn't care for the Original but that was good enough to get me to check it out in theater's.

So consider me sold, Hopefully me giving this a chance will be something i wont regret.

Yeah yeah lost of blood and gore, still hasn't justified its existence to me yet. But I'l give it a chance.

It's a freaging TRAILER, calm the [frick] down.

Looks like they stuck with the original tone of going for scares instead of laughs like the second one did. That's cool. Clearly the one chick cuts her own arm off. Wondering I they will do the whole possessed hand gag. I can already tell though that hippie that says the words will probably annoy the crap out of me.

At any rate, this looks badass.

Will this lead into a new Army of Darkness or are the ditching that connection altogether?

I'm not sure why everyone hates the idea of remakes so much. If it sucks, you don't have to watch it, if it doesn't, you have another great film to enjoy.
I sometimes like to watch both Dawn of the dead films back to back just to enjoy another version of the same story.
Also, Evil Dead 2 is just a remake of part 1 so...?

Looks sweet, but still... Just a few things I miss 1. it would be better if they used the recorder for the scientist residing the words of the Necronomicon much creepier that some geek... And man I hope they have the [frick]ed up looking deer head talking to them… But I love they kept the darkness running through the woods!

Looks a lot like the Jason remake, Freddy remake and TC Massacre remake --- I just miss the old style rather then the teens in the cabin shit that all these remakes resort to… If I wanted to see that I would watch Cabin in the Woods

Thanks so much,
dezdigi

This looks ok. It's missing that Raimi touch though.
Hopefully, this film can stand on its own and earn its place as a good horror film.

I hope the atmosphere is like time would have stoped.
You know like clocks go backwards and shit. That was spooky in the original.

What we do know is that Bruce Campbell is involved, so it could be possible that Ash is somehow intertwined in there somehow, we just don't know yet... and we don't quite know how this movie fits in with the storyline.

Could be some weird twists.
