im pretty sure he knows what he's doing, and people are just over examining what he says way too much. How about we just let the man make his movie and lets just see what its about when it is in theaters

All I know is this film looks cool, not a big Alien fanatic or Ridley Scott fanatic but it's got an old school vibe; one of those films that completely sucks u in n just looks epic; so count me sold

When Scott says that there will be new monsters the most logical conclusion is that There will be Xenomorphs but they will gestate inside the Space jockey resulting in a "new" Alien.

This film is obviously a prequel. I think that by this point with everything we've seen its got to be. If it's not then this movie will probably be a major letdown for everyone.

if its not a prequel its a let down? i dont think so. majority of people seeing this dont have a clue its even sightly connected to the alien franchise and see this as a kick ass movie. and the little amount of people (all of us here)that care enough to research the movie and know about the little connections there are should be able to grasp the concept that this movie only takes place in the same universe of "Alien" and is not considered a prequel but a movie that stands on its own. and that concept right there is what makes this movie so unique and epic. its breaking out of the same old rehashed "prequel" concepts that hollywood keeps shoving down our throats.

i've read a lot about this movie, didn't read anything of the xenomorphs being in this movie at all. So i didn't, haven't been, and wont be expecting them. I'm just expecting classic Ridley Scott film making...

Here's my thought; Ridley, U suck. LOL Got us all on a tangent. First off, PROMETHEUS is going to be the SHIZ. So look, Ridley is contradicting himself BIG TIME. I keep up with a lot about this movie. YES- we understand this is NOT a prequel. That this is fantastical new sci-fi entry that is going to blow the minds of fan boys world wide. Yet, to say that only connection PIERCE and this film has to ALIEN is Weyland-Yutani Corp? Um...Space Jockey, check (even though now its a SUIT? the first film CLEARLY they say "right through the bone," when they are inspecting the Jockey in the chair--bone, my friends, BONE) Um..."U" shaped ship crashing into planet (PROMETHEUS) looks oddly similar to foreign ship found by Nostromo crew in ALIEN. Does Ridley think we are all a bunch of BONE-heads? I know the film is going to blow us all away, but come now. Stop hashin and speak truths. lol

ACIDBATH and BOSSWALSH got it right.... Do the research and look up the old scripts/ideas for Alien/StarBeast. Prometheus is a movie using those scrapped concepts! Their WILL be Xeno's.....BUT NOT AS WE'VE SEEN THEM. They will be shown in their NORMAL STATE before mixing with a host dna! On set spies said they are going to be bigger and almost a blue color. Its tied into Alien in many ways. The Jockey, the original planet of the Xeno's will be shown,Weyland merging with the Yutani Corp, and etc.
