I will watch this movie, even though I don't know a shit about Star Trek, never watched anything from the series, but as long as I can see the blonde, I'm all in!

Phazers & other hand held weapons in Star Trek are goofy looking shit.

I like Star Trek & realize they want a more sleek,refined look than say Star Wars which go for a more practical,rugged design.

Regardless,Blasters look much cooler than Phazers & that silly Klingon multibladed thing is a piece of scrap compared to a Lightsaber.

SPOILERS!!!!! Do not [frick]ing read!!!!1

Cumberbatch is perfect in the movie although the reveal of his true identity(he's actually Sherlock, sorry no Khan folks)kind seemed unnecessary especially some one who is aware Star Trek lore(?)but not a trekkie. So it might come as a shock to newbies. The stakes higher but it still has that adventurous/humor to it. Alice Eve is hot but kinda meh, don't know if it was the acting or the writing. Also its weird that she has a proper British accent whilst her dad sounds like RoboCop.

All in all a good time.

Why? Karl Urban looks a whole hell of a lot like a young DeForest Kelly. Pegg may not be the spitting image of James Doohan, but at least he's a Brit and can do an authentic Scots accent.
