FANCAST: Back to the Future Remake!

FANCAST: Back to the Future Remake!

Ever wonder who would play a great Doc Brown now? How about Marty? Biff? I began wondering too, and these are who I came up with.

I just received "Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy" for an Anniversary gift. I've loved these movies since I could comprehend movies as more than just bright, vibrant colors. Watching them again has made me curious as to who would play these parts if these movies were made today. I'm going to be using mostly "Young Hollywood" using the actors and actresses that I feel would play these parts as memorably as their predecessors. Leave me comments as to who YOU feel should play these parts.
PS. Remaking these movies would be blasphemy, so I hope it NEVER HAPPENS!

Dr. Emmitt "Doc" Brown-John Malkovich
There is NO DOUBT about Mr. Malkovich's acting abilities, and I think he would play the cooky and eccentric "Doc Brown" the best out of all of Hollywood.

Marty McFly-Josh Hutcherson
I don't think many questions will be raised against this rising star. He will be, no doubt, huge in hollywood, sooner, rather than later. He would make the perfect Marty if this were made today.

George McFly-Josh Peck
Josh Peck is an extraordinary actor who will probably never outlive "Drake & Josh." And I think his brand of slapstick and "uncomfortable teenager" would fill out what I would expect from George McFly.

Lorraine Baines (aka "McFly")-Amanda Seyfried
Amanda Seyfried........ soooooo dreamy......... and a mighty fine actress.

Biff Tannen-Channing Tatum
Channing Tatum has shown he can be the classic underdog and hero, and has flexed his acting chops in Stop Loss. I think he would make the perfect @$$hole for the Biff character.

Jennifer Parker-Anna Sophia Robb
Another rising star in Hollywood, and I think she would compliment Josh Hutcherson well, as she did in "Bridge to Terabithia."

I like all of these except for Malkovich, I am a fan of his I just wouldn't like him in the role. What about Donald Sutherland or something? But if we had to endure a remake this would be a good cast to have.

Interesting article. Your spot on with Hutcherson, He'd be great in that role.

Like Boekelaar, can't really picture anyone else as "Doc Brown".

The rest are solid though. Except for maybe Tatum, he not the best actor IMO.

Altogether pretty good. Nice concept, can't say I wanna see it done though but the way things are going in Hollywood I wouldn't be to surprised.

Doc Brown would be rediculously hard to cast. Christopher Lloyd did such a good job. I racked my mind trying to think of an actor. Malkovich popped into my mind first. Then I thought Gary Busey (but he's actually crazy). And, upon further reflection: What about Hugh Laurie? Biff, too, was hard to decide on. Channing Tatum does have the look. But when I was searching in google for "Biff" a photo of John Cena popped up (he's got the look, but not a very good actor)

I did feel a bit dirty writing this, but curiosity got the best of me, lol. I thought it would be an intriguing debate. "The Whackness" is an EXCELLENT movie. I felt a bit uncomfortable watching it since, like most everyone, I knew him from a Nickelodeon show.... AWKWARD, LOL

Before I even clicked I knew Tatum and Seyfreid would be on here.

I'd only replace Malcovich with Christopher Walken, and Peck with Michael Cera or Paul Dano...

Aaron Johnson also would make a great Marty...

Great Cast!

PS: Also, Hutcherson would look alot younger compared with
Peck (23), Seyfried (24) and Tatum (30)

Yeah, no doubt. But, I think most of them could still pass as High School students. I really had no clue Tatum was 30, he really doesn't look it. But Hutcherson is, IMO, a dead ringer for Marty.
That's so weird you said Walken, he's the person I thought of first, before Malkovich. I just assumed nobody would understand the choice. I LOVE WALKEN

Josh Hutcherson and Channing Tatum are AWFUL actors so no to both of them. The rest are pretty cool though.

Dude, this is an excellent cast!! I would of picked Robert Downey Jr. for Doc Brown. I like your choices for George, Lorraine, and Biff.
