IGN have a first look at Marvel's new MMO RPG, Marvel Heroes. Including a first trailer, new in-game still images and a lengthy in-depth look at the game, which can be found by clicking HERE. The first trailer and still images are down below...

















Marvel Heroes is expected to arrive on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 sometime this year

The gameplay doesn't look too great, looks more like the game dynamics of Marvel Ultimate Alliance. With an MMO I'd prefer it to look something more like (and play like) DCUO. Saying that I did enjoy the Ultimate Alliance games and the videos between gameplay were epic so who knows, could be alright.

I hear Drake bell's voice as spider-man and Steve Blum and Fred Tatasciore as Wolverine and Hulk. I don't know who is voicing Deadpool but it sure ain't Nolan north.

Hopes that it will come out on Xbox live but I doubt it , it will probably be a Windows exclusive :/

It actually looks...pretty bad; visually, at least. (The cinematic parts, especially - compared to Marvel: Ultimate Alliance's, this one's mediocre at best.) Gameplay could still be fun, but I'll need to see more.

FUUCCKK YEAH!!

At last, I have been waiting for this game since it was first announced!

Well of course it looks like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, any Marvel multiplayer, RPG, beat'em up will look like that, but this one sure have a much more bigger scope, there are a lot of enemies on screen, and some are enormous like the sentinel, also the powers look sick awesome. Still I want to know more about the game, but already being free to play MH it's a sure buy to me.

Excited for a few reasons:
1 - Didn't see Vicarious Visions as part of the developers. They pretty much did not put the very best game for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Brighter graphics yes, but shittier, simpler, shorter gameplay on MUA2.

2 - Hope. I hope this meets or exceeds the fun factor of MUA1. I know, the game is old, but it was super fun, and you could level your characters up to 100 (MUA2 was up to 40?).

3 - Hope. I hope there is deep, deep character customizations. To date I have not used any cheat codes and still haven't gotten all my characters in MUA1 maxed out.

4 - Hope. I hope they learn a lesson from MUA2 poor planning and don't loose the license for future DLC (characters, packs, costumes).

@SHHH a kids game? Would a video game be more adult if it was rated M, had free roam, you can jack cars, hire hookers, & go GTA Crazy?



Not that I wouldn't mind seeing what would happen controlling Hulk & ripping every part of the New York apart.

Played by Rufus Sewell or Richard Armitage.

Really hope Fox would loose the rights back to marvel.

Lookks great. The fact that is a free MMO, and one that lets you play as teal Marvel characters not fake ones that you make have all sealed the deal for me. I will definitely be reserving this on my 360, aand hope there is a limeted edition. [frick] YEAH! So much win here.

What is going on here!!??? is this part of Marvels "re-vamp" for the gaming industry...1st the new Avengers game for KINNECT only and now , basically ULTIMATE ALLIANCE again? Someone at Marvel needs to get a new job! Such a bummer Marvel...BOOOO to you!

Why do these people always feel the need to put some heroes (Iron Man) in very recent costumes, but put other heroes (Captain America) back thirty years when they have modern and updated looks?

Still have not seen an MMO that is worth my time and money for a while. I like Guild Wars, but only because I don't have to pay a fee for it.

People asked this question too and they said we should "wait and see". I assume you have to create a party and then you go do missions. You see other users only when you are in certain zones/hubs.

Doesnt really make it a MMO but thats the only logical way this would work out without ruining the fun by having 50000 Hulks smashing mobs nearby.

AND

@comicforawife everyone would want to play their fave hero, maybe choose a skin or customize their costume. That can help in the confusion of "100 Hulks". Also, they might add that explanation into the storyline, like "Crisis on Infinite Marvel Universes" ha

it would be amazing on a console, but from what I remember reading around comic con was that it was a Computer only based game. I hope they chose to make this available on consoles but my hopes are not high on that since it is being made by Gazillion who makes the super hero squad online game (which is a pretty fun game).

Maybe u guys should pay attention to what you're bashing before you Start to bash.

The gameplay is based on the Diablo games. Diablo is nothing like Ultimate Alliance, you dipshits. Oh, you've never played Diablo? Then stop bashing it, because you dont know what you're talking about and you sound stupid and uninformed.

@worldbreaker potential is about all it had. Probably would have done better if the servers would have worked better or if the file size didn't take up a entire PS3 hard drive.
