Special Feature Clip And New Trailer For THE HUNGER GAMES Blu-Ray Released

Lionsgate have released a sneak peek at one the special features that will be included on The Hunger Games Blu-Ray, as well as a new trailer for the home video release which focuses on the extras which will be featured in the set. Check out the videos after the jump.

In a not-too-distant future, the United States of America has collapsed, weakened by drought, fire, famine, and war, to be replaced by Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year, two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal intimidation of the subjugated districts, the televised games are broadcasted throughout Panem as the 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, literally, with all citizens required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss’ young sister, Prim, is selected as the mining district’s female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart, Peeta, the son of the town baker who seems to have all the fighting skills of a lump of bread dough, will be pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives.


The Hunger Games is directed by Gary Ross and along with Lawrence and Kravitz stars Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Isabelle Fuhrman, Willow Shields, Amandla Stenberg, and Wes Bentley. The film will hit Blu-Ray and DVD on August 18th 2012.

no thanks,the movie was boring except for the violent scenes.

made for teenage girls,twilight is coming to an end they have this now.

I really doubt half of the people here saw this movie. It was actually really good. Jenifer Lawerence was perfect. The movie not only perfectly adapted the tone of the book into movie form but also expanded the lore of the series too. I can't say I am very excited about the sequel since I thought this movie had enough closure. Yet, overall a really good time. NOT AT ALL LIKE TWILIGHT OR BATTLE ROYALE!

teenage love triangle = twilight/the hunger games

young kids fighting to the death with weapons,in zones & there can only be one winner = battle royale/the hunger games

Can't argue that it's not like battle royale, it is. But love triangles (teenage and adult) have been around forever. So saying Hunger Games is like Twilight because it has a love triangle is ridiculous.

I honestly do like Battle Royale more but this movie is in a much higher league than Twilight.

I liked the movie, but all that shakey cam makes it a horrible choice to get on blu ray.

not a huge fan of the movie. i did like it. oppressive bastard government system(i can relate)

IS a rip off of Battle Royale. IS for stupid Twilight fans. I read the first few chpters of the 2nd book and not only is the writing huge and babyish, but it is just a shitly written book. Can anyone tell me what a 'kilometre-long walk' is? LOL
