ATrueHero1987 - 8/27/2012, 6:41 PM
I know one thing if Hollywood EVER decides to make a Dead Space movie, Paul Anderson better stay the [frick] AWAY from it!! He will not [frick] that up! He would probably have his wife in the main role.smdh
BattlinMurdock - 8/27/2012, 6:44 PM
But...who will deliver the franchise we just want to die?
acidbath - 8/27/2012, 6:45 PM
actually...if he could go back to doing whatever drugs he was doing when he made event horizon (as obviously it had to be the drugs giving him talent in that one exception to his horrid movie making career) then let him do dead space. But i think we all know that he isn't capable of making another movie like even horizon or we wouldn't be seeing re get turned into look at my wife in sexy cloths and slow motion the redemption
GUNSMITH - 8/27/2012, 6:46 PM
ANOTHER VIDEOGAME TURNED INTO ANOTHER MOVIE FRANCHISE THAT ONCE HE STARTS IT IT WILL NEVER EVER STOP. EXPECT RESIDENT EVIL 10..EXPECT IT.
jimpinto24 - 8/27/2012, 6:46 PM
If Paul W.S. Anderson does helm the Castlevania movie, let's hope he stay's true to the video game! Hell! Who am I kidding! Paul will murder the Castlevaina movie. It's best to get someone elese to helm Castlevania movie.KEEP PAUL AWAY!!!
ATrueHero1987 - 8/27/2012, 6:47 PM
Nope, he has to stay away...FAR away!lol Let Ridley Scott or Alex Proyas direct that if it ever comes up.
ATrueHero1987 - 8/27/2012, 6:53 PM
@GUNSMITH Exactly, I don't know who keeps going to see these films...ALL of them already got low scores on RT but Sony still getting money. This makes me think that GR might not go back to Marvel because got mostly bad reviews but Sony got their budget back and then some. :(
ZombieOverEasy - 8/27/2012, 7:00 PM
No.
kemuael - 8/27/2012, 7:09 PM

RunawaysHD - 8/27/2012, 7:11 PM

IIIAdamantiumIII - 8/27/2012, 7:16 PM

OtakuPapi - 8/27/2012, 7:21 PM
Not with him
GUNSMITH - 8/27/2012, 7:37 PM
I'D ACTUALLY LIKE TO SEE PAUL VERHOVEN DO CASTLEVANIA, EITHER THAT OR GOD OF WAR.
DaneE5R - 8/27/2012, 7:38 PM
I dunno what happened to this guy. The BEST ADAPTED and most FAITHFUL video game movie was done by this man. And then he lost his damn mind when it came to Resident Evil.
Emjeed - 8/27/2012, 8:10 PM
He's gonna turn Simon into Simone..who will be played by Milla Jovovich. And Simone will be the twin sister of Simon who is locked up in the Castle by dracula. So Simone will have to fight to save him. then in interviews he will say
"You can't do castlevania without having Simon play a huge role in it. So in a way we stay very close to the source material. But its going to be exciting.. the fans are going to love it!" -_-
Emjeed - 8/27/2012, 8:14 PM
Or in a more weird move he will Make Carmilla the main character.. change her whole story and have Simone be her partner or some shit
SFCamerica - 8/27/2012, 8:33 PM
If they make a Castlevania, go with the new version that started with Lords of Shadow. If they start from the original with the Belmonts they'll surely F it all up. Would be cool to see Alucard and the Belmonts though. With all that said, just leave Castlevania alone, we finally have a good thing going again with the Lords of Shadow sequel do in 2013.
Emjeed - 8/27/2012, 8:36 PM
I get your point and Agree with it.. They got Married in 09.. But he was the producer of the second film and he wrote it.. he could have, with the introduction of Jill V. gone in the Direction that aligned it more with the game. n the End Jill and RJ went and saved him.. then in Extinction.. BAM.. he wrote and produced all of them. He could have fixed things if he wanted to.. but at the time he was probably courting the lovely miss Jovovich and of cos expanded her role . but thats just my opinion.. That said, i respectfully disagree with you calling me "not very intelligent" cos i have such opinions..i doubt that your not including that in your comment would have taken anything away from its veracity.. good day my friend
Emjeed - 8/27/2012, 8:37 PM
@Undeadnightmare ^^
hobohaymaker13 - 8/27/2012, 8:52 PM
Swear to f*cking god, i see one second of Milla in it, just gonna say "F*ck this movie.". Other than that... I can actually work with it, just as long he goes with the story. I thought Death Race was better than his other recent films honestly... Cause of no Milla.
Emjeed - 8/27/2012, 9:02 PM
@Undeadnightmare I got what you're saying.. but where's the fun in blaming the faceless execs in the shadows?so long as there's a name and face attached to it, that person get my praise or lack thereof if things go south. Take Michael Bay.. for all we know studio execs have more say in what he should do than he does.. who's name is all the Explosions jokes attached to?

@hobohaymaker13 Quote for Truth!
nerdman81 - 8/27/2012, 9:03 PM
It would have all the main baddies in it, but Simon Belmont would be changed to Simone, played by his wife who was actually a biological experiment, created to be the perfect Bride of Dracula in a vast underground facility known as "The Nest". She turns against Dracula, and fights the monsters he sends after her who were all created by a vampire virus he concocted called the V-Virus. Somehow her amazing vampire powers begin to manifest themselves in new and uninteresting ways. This story will be told over the course of a slew of never-ending sequels. As the virus continues to take over the world, she stops along the way to ally herself with those who survived, and they'll help her on her quest to find, and destroy Dracula, and cure the infected. You heard it here first!
GrayMatter - 8/27/2012, 9:07 PM
I agree with NightDrive. This guy is like Zack Snyder.
Fantastic director, but for God's sake keep him away from any creative aspect of the movie.
What this movie needs is a really, really solid screenwriter who can make a good adaptation of the games' storyline.

And go with the original storyline. I love the whole Belmont family sworn to forever fight Dracula storyline. Ignore that garbage Lords of Shadow. Good game, but dumb story.
novaprime - 8/27/2012, 9:11 PM
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ATrueHero1987 - 8/27/2012, 9:25 PM
@Undeadnightmare Yes, they weren't married when the first RE movie came out but they WERE together around that time...
ATrueHero1987 - 8/27/2012, 9:29 PM
Speaking of the first RE movie, George A. Romero wrote a script & was going to direct. I would have loved to see his version, but it was rejected because it wasn't "faithful" to the game despite including the cast from the original game...
ATrueHero1987 - 8/27/2012, 9:36 PM
Of course, they said it was bad. How bad? not sure...
SageMode - 8/27/2012, 9:55 PM
This guys' resume just wreaks of awfulness. SMH.
Ace0477 - 8/27/2012, 10:01 PM
He has done a decent job with the RE franchise, I see nothing wrong with this. @Marvel87 Romero never wrote an RE script? That was a big rumor LOL I love Romero though would have been interesting. I think he can helm Castlevania, I mean who else is going to do it? You people want Uwe Boll to ruin it?... That's what I thought, be happy that these game adaptions even get close to the game at all considering the studios want original pieces.

@Ace0477 Yes, he did.

Knightstalker - 8/27/2012, 11:54 PM
Will it star his wife, Milla? It's so difficult to tell!
JillValenfield - 8/28/2012, 12:44 AM
NOOO!!! He sucks as a director!! The only good ones he made are the first RE movie and the first mortal kombat movie. That's it! The rest are crap!
sirbonesalot - 8/28/2012, 2:41 AM
I wouldn't mind some Richter Belmont up in this bitch...... maybe some Alucard...... but no women as the protagonist.... unless it's Kate Beckinsale and she is naked all the time.....
demonizer84 - 8/28/2012, 3:55 AM
id love to see a dark castlevania movie done i always had my own image of something running towards a village through a dark woods, chased by somone while its raining and muddy it would show glimpses of the beast closing in and then reveal bits of the character chasing, first muddy boots then the flick of a coat before it finally reveals soma fighting off a warg or something, bloody gritty and well acted, after seeing him butcher the resident evil franchise i think all movies should be taken away from him and he should have his hands n feet burned
AlexDeLarge87 - 8/28/2012, 4:08 AM
Event Horizon and Mortal Kombat are his best. Dont wanna see him behind Castlevania.
AlexDeLarge87 - 8/28/2012, 4:25 AM
God i wanna see a reboot of Mortal Kombat. Think about how intense the fight scenes could be today. :)
Anderson´s movie was cool but when you watch it today. The fight scenes feel kinda slow if you compare them to todays fight sequences.
ronnie42 - 8/28/2012, 4:41 AM
wtf keep him the hell away, Hasn't it made enough franchises suffer?

mgeoff88 - 8/28/2012, 5:46 AM
OH HECK NO! As much as I would like to see him step away from the RE movie franchise, I don't want him ruining the Castlevania franchise on the big screen too!

I have great memories of playing Bloodlines and Symphony of Night.
AmericanPsychoWolf - 8/28/2012, 6:35 AM
I've been waiting for a Castlevania movie since 07....I ain't getting my hopes up.
Ace0477 - 8/28/2012, 8:05 AM
@Jillvalenfield Look what you just said he did two good movies, I believe he has done a few other good ones but even those two give him enough credibility to do Castlevania. @Alexdelarge87 They are working on a Mortal Kombat Trilogy of movies right now starring Michael Jae White as Jax and being written and Directed by Kevin Tancharoen. He did a series called Mortal Kombat Legacy that went over real weel with fans. It was so good it actually got a Bluray and DVD release, and it was picked up by a major studio I forget which one. Season 2 should be coming out soon and the movies. :) Now as far as the Resident Evil movies there is something that I have learned as a fan and a filmmaker, and that is that no movie based off any source material can follow that material to the bone. I mean dear god look at how crappy the Green Lantern movie was, but it was Directed by Martin Campbell who brought us back Zorro and James Bond. The Resident Evil Movies have to have their own story and characters aside from our favorite games, it's just the way that Hollywood works. I like the franchise if not because I get to see my favorite characters on the big screen. The only one I haven't cared for thus far is the guy they got to play Chris Redfield, he was way too mellow for such and awesome character. I'm hoping they got a better Leon and Ada Wong, anyway there's my rant :-p lol

[frick] this guy. I'd love to see a good castlevania trilogy with Trevor Belmont and his heirs. But this guy will [frick] everything up
fistofthenorthstar - 8/28/2012, 4:17 PM
look, he's the only guy doing a decent job, and the first and last RE films were pretty good, which were the only RE films he's responsible for. I hope he gets Castlevania, because unless I got the job, he's the only one that can do it justice. He's the only one that has ever done a videogame movie justice. stop f#ckin b!tchin. No one else is doing videogame movies... not right anyway...
dwaynejohnsonsfromundahcheesepanini - 8/28/2012, 11:04 PM
I accidently clicked on this article and glad I did, because the talkbacks are making me laugh.., in the sense that I accidently clicked on said article & before I could say "shite," was greeted with the other humorous posts. Look, parts of Resident Evil('03) and parts of Event Horizon are the only thing he has ever done that's convinced me he doesn't have dirt on someone in a high investment/hollywood format. Yes banging Milla "zany personality" Jovovich might get some respect beyond your reel, but seriously I'm starting to wonder why he likes to shoot in Prague so much. Hmmm. Uwe Bowl tax break maybe? Well it's certainly not because his films are turning heads.., they might be discount theater middle school friday night date makeout material, but yeah after AVP.., oh right there is some form of culture actually going to the theater to see his shite. There's one simple solution to his movies; don't see them. He's made enough money..., trust me, it's time he started crapping or getting off the pot. Hell he's been on there since '98. :D
