sweetre15 - 1/13/2011, 7:08 PM
Loving The costumes for the upcoming CBMs so far.
GrandWrex - 1/13/2011, 7:09 PM
that outfit is awesome
Ironbat95 - 1/13/2011, 7:10 PM
Great interpretation off the costume. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some version of this costume appear in comics soon.

Hydra Robot Guys look sweet
OverCross - 1/13/2011, 7:12 PM
It's...it's poofy.

I bet it'll look better in motion like Whiplash.

Looks good either way.
ClaireLannister2016 - 1/13/2011, 7:16 PM
Captain America has an American boner. :P
flames809 - 1/13/2011, 7:23 PM
Widow- that's the first thing you look at in a pic?? And pic looks cool
patriautism - 1/13/2011, 7:29 PM
Utterly amazing.
Now we now why the stunt guy looked effing puny in it, Chris Evans is massive.
Dopamine - 1/13/2011, 7:32 PM
I like it... I was loosing faith when i saw the stuntman and the pic of the toys but now im excited for this film... Hope it looks good on screen.
Kevwebsz - 1/13/2011, 7:33 PM
@Overcross
its the 40s just imagine the modern suit
hotkarl8083 - 1/13/2011, 7:34 PM
Meh. Not bad... I bet they give him the updated suit at the end of the movie when they thaw his captain american ass out of the glacier.
Fallguy - 1/13/2011, 7:46 PM
Evans looks MUCH better now that the pic is cleared up, he looks bigger, more imposing, I'm liking the costume. Agree with the first post on the guys in the background though... they look ridiculous.
TayDee - 1/13/2011, 8:06 PM
Ok now I like the costume a little bit more.
PartyHard - 1/13/2011, 8:16 PM
I'm loving this. But why are we just now seeing a fully costumed Captain America, and Spider-Man already has an official picture?
dellamorte1872 - 1/13/2011, 8:36 PM
eh not a huge fan of the helmet. Thor looks better in his garb
conformist21 - 1/13/2011, 8:37 PM
i just noticed he had a shield, ha
it's a bit beat up
superotherside - 1/13/2011, 8:58 PM
wow... very cool!

@PartyHard marvel likes to play with their fans... sony is testing if at least 50% of the box office seats will be filled... i for one hope that maybe 10% of the last film box office goers see this 1 cause i want sony to sell spiderman's rights back to marvel!
Ironbat95 - 1/13/2011, 9:03 PM
@otherside I agree that the rights should be at Marvel but what if the film ends up being really good? If it is a good film it deserves all the revenue they should get
CaptainAmerica - 1/13/2011, 9:29 PM
why the [frick] isnt this on main page?
superotherside - 1/13/2011, 9:40 PM
@Ironbat95 good point... but i still want spidey in the MCU! i've been thinking of such and sometime i'm going to do an article about how that would work out... but until then... spidey needs to be in the MCU!
AlexDeLarge87 - 1/13/2011, 10:15 PM
Looks great!
Jolt17 - 1/13/2011, 11:21 PM

yowsaman - 1/13/2011, 11:28 PM

TheLarTheorem - 1/14/2011, 12:37 AM
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

StrangerX - 1/14/2011, 5:39 AM
Caps sheild looks pretty beat up. Can't wait to see how that happened.
Starlight - 1/14/2011, 5:44 AM
[frick]ING AMAZING !!! the soldiers on the back seem to have flame throwers...
marvel72 - 1/14/2011, 5:55 AM
i love it,this is his world war 2 outfit.

can't wait to see him in his modern day avengers uniform.
supercajun - 1/14/2011, 5:59 AM
Hey I thought steroids makes it shrink!
ratticus58 - 1/14/2011, 6:07 AM
Looks ok for a WW 2 prototype. The padding textture looks like they stuffed him with oven mitts to repel the threat of deadly Nazi crescent rolls. I don't care for the exposed neck either, looks like Daredevil's movie do-rag. The bulky outfit would not be practicle for the type of acrobatic movements that Cap does. It's a shame every non-comic fan director gets costume-phobia and feels they have to re-invent the wheel. The Spiderman films proved you can update the classic uniform with color and texture and make it effective. Thus, Joe Johnston has to mock Cap's real outfit with the USO sequence (sorry Joe Simon and Jack Kirby). I understand the "human flag" dilemma but there could have been a happy medium with what will work effectively on-screen. I hope as others have stated that they will give him a more form-fitting,less Army fatigue costume (Stark created no doubt) when Cap is eventually revived in The Avengers film.
My costume rant aside, Chris Evans is an an excellent choice for Captain America however, and I still have faith in the film. I think Joe Johnston is a capable director and the casting has been inspired. Captain America is my favorite character and I anxiously await this damn movie!!!AVENGFERS ASSEMBLE!!
RorMachine - 1/14/2011, 6:10 AM
Sorry, it's only ok for me. Its actually identical to the stunt man's costume which everyone ragged on too. I knoe Evans is obviously in better shape but it still looks too baggy or something. Can't really put my finger on it. Also the helmet is off. I'm not saying I hate it, I get that is only so much they can do while still trying to be faithful to the comic. maybe i'll feel better when i see him in motion.
JackBauer - 1/14/2011, 6:13 AM
Starlight - Yea, it looks like a combination flame thrower/mini-gun or something. You can see the links connecting the weapon to some kind of backpack.

Evans looks absolutely badass as Cap. The shield is [frick]ing epic! The only thing throwing it off for me is the little bandolier thing across his chest blocking the star.
Watcher - 1/14/2011, 6:21 AM
Great pic.

Dude kinda needs something to cover his NECK. That's a very vulnerable part of the body!

JackBauer - 1/14/2011, 6:22 AM
The top fits him just right. It's not baggy like it was on the stuntman. The pants are a little baggy in the crotch but I'm sure they didn't want to show any moose knuckle by making it too tight :)
VictorHugo - 1/14/2011, 7:04 AM
Connor McLeod would have a feast on that neck.
dahamma - 1/14/2011, 7:09 AM
JIZZ@!!!@@!#$#@ This look so awesome!!!! As someone mentioned idk if its padding or not but yes evans looks more bulkier here. I was worried about that cuz cap is no little wimp! Cant wait! Trailer!!! This and Thor i am so pumped to see !!!!!!!!!!
DeadpoolDan - 1/14/2011, 7:27 AM
Mmmm still too baggy in my opinion, great design, loving what they have done, just too baggy.
Betty - 1/14/2011, 7:34 AM
I like it. It could be a little darker blue, maybe. A little less poofy. A little busy.
BillBrasky - 1/14/2011, 7:38 AM
Love the Cap costume. Those two in the back are just Star Wars fans from Comic Con who got to go on set.
R888 - 1/14/2011, 7:51 AM
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Yes I like , love it and now please bring out trailer now
ItsNotASchooner - 1/14/2011, 7:55 AM
Love it!!

Yes plz

kthnxbai
WingPow - 1/14/2011, 8:12 AM
@Juggernaut I agree. That's what I was saying yesterday. Aesthetics aside, it makes to have some kind of neck card for blade, knife and flying shrapnel.
TheDukeofMadmen - 1/14/2011, 9:17 AM
Okay the more and more I see of the full Cap suit the more and more I like it. Now lets see the Red Skull and come clasic Hydra uniforms.

Drinks for all.
PoPcornDude - 1/14/2011, 9:30 AM
it looks fantastic !!! just think that this outfit is supposed to be in the 40's, wait till we see the modern time outfit !
@BlackWidow, indeed he's ALL hot !!!
Niprock - 1/14/2011, 9:47 AM
I wonder if he will get a revamped costume in the Avengers?
CapRonin - 1/14/2011, 9:51 AM
kinda really upset where this is going Ima HUGE Cap fan hes been my favorite since i was a kid and i def can see them ruining it i wont loose hope till i see the trailer. But the gun doesn't help. I guess people lost sight of what he stands for. If he was in the war in the movie i would say whatev but hes obviously not. And Cap shouldnt ever use a gun otherwise(at least that what it looks like he has). The shield is his weapon for a reason. Its symbolic, just think about it. As for the guards they look dumb. If i was to direct this id make it a saving private ryan with a real idea of Captain America during WW2. But who knows until we see the trailer
FoxForce5 - 1/14/2011, 10:04 AM
Love the costume! Looks to me like a perfect blend of the comic elements while making it work in WWII. Can't wait for this one- even more than Thor, I think.
Watcher - 1/14/2011, 10:22 AM
Yeah there can be no doubt that the modern version will be highly updated.
rbfn04 - 1/14/2011, 10:40 AM
Meh...
Jimll565 - 1/14/2011, 10:56 AM
The guys in the back are giving me street fighter flash backs...Please for the love of all that is holy don't ruin this for me.
dnno1 - 1/14/2011, 10:59 AM
At least the shield look ok.
