LOVE IT! I actually caught up on my Marvel NOW! Guardians of the Galaxy reading last night, which brought these guys into the story arc. Can't wait to see what happens!
NovaCorpsFan - 6/25/2014, 10:45 AM
Holy shit. NateBest is the first comment on my first ever news article. I feel truly honoured right here.

I'm also now on tenterhooks to see where they take this. Love the team so much!
Superhero96 - 6/25/2014, 10:45 AM
Yes more cosmic!

Ha, I was surprised when I opened this and realised it was you, Nova. I mean, I never figured you would do news, but it's GOTG.. so there's nobody more appropriate for the cosmic stuff.

Good stuff, bud.

:)

I actually just finished Annihilation and Annihilation: Conquest a while back, and, more recently- the first six issues of the DnA GOTG run. It's great.
EzioKenway1225 - 6/25/2014, 10:51 AM
awesome!!,i dont know anything about these characters but i do want to..they seem very cool and Dan Abnett is writing it, one half of the guys who wrote the guardians 2008 run that inspired the movie and is well loved among fans.. i get my comics in trade and i will be sure to keep an eye on this one
EzioKenway1225 - 6/25/2014, 10:52 AM

DEVLIN712 - 6/25/2014, 10:54 AM
Nova writing a news article? Kinda fitting that it's a Marvel Cosmic story, ain't it?

This gives me a reason to get up.
ThePowerCosmic - 6/25/2014, 10:58 AM
Yes! Now more of my money will be gone.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 6/25/2014, 10:58 AM
Holy shit is a good response @Nova.I have to pick this up.I remember the series that ran in the 90s.That art looks good too.Yondu and Starhawk look great.I bet Marvel has movie plans for these characters.
NovaCorpsFan - 6/25/2014, 10:58 AM
I knew I'd get this reaction. I saw it on Facebook of all places and I was like, "Well, THAT, I'm writing an article about!"
JoJo1982 - 6/25/2014, 10:58 AM
Bravo!!!

MARVELPSYCHO79 - 6/25/2014, 11:03 AM
And the icing on the cake is DNA are writing this.YES.
NovaCorpsFan - 6/25/2014, 11:05 AM
Not DNA, just Abnett. I'm sure Lanning will come in to do a bit of collaboration eventually.
LensmanMatt92 - 6/25/2014, 11:05 AM
Please keep Bendis far away from this series.
LensmanMatt92 - 6/25/2014, 11:07 AM
''And the icing on the cake is DNA are writing this.YES.''

YEEEEEEEAH! Abnett is writing it(x5 times while imitating Angry German Kid's ''yeah get lost'' chanting).
LensmanMatt92 - 6/25/2014, 11:07 AM
And is always a relief when i don't RealRemyLeDouche's smug smile in a CBM topic.
DeusExSponge - 6/25/2014, 11:09 AM
Wow these guys look like a bunch of BAMFs.
Nomis - 6/25/2014, 11:14 AM
NOW THIS IS THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY I KNOW AND REMEMBER !!!!! (This should be the group that got a movie)

ATrueHero1987 - 6/25/2014, 11:18 AM
As soon as I saw this, I knew Nomis would be happy....I was right.lol

I'll check this series out when it releases.
dethpillow - 6/25/2014, 11:19 AM
rad, can't wait for this, i don't know anything about this group, i'm glad they're doing this.
earzmundo - 6/25/2014, 11:19 AM
i am eager to see how the lack of lanning works out for abnett
NovaCorpsFan - 6/25/2014, 11:21 AM
I agree with you Nomis, I'd much prefer if these guys were the ones getting the big screen treatment.
NovaCorpsFan - 6/25/2014, 11:22 AM
There's plenty more info at the source, so be sure to hit the link for a few more details.
Ramiel - 6/25/2014, 11:24 AM
Get Valentino to do the art and I'm sold.
SidTheAstroSlut - 6/25/2014, 11:25 AM
This is awsome!

I am glad they used the current GoTG

I mean this is more obscure than a talking Racoon
actionmoviefanatix - 6/25/2014, 11:26 AM
Loved the original Guardians!
GammerDad - 6/25/2014, 11:31 AM
Hell YES! About time the GoTG I grew up reading got out of the dust pile and finally put to some good use.
Dotanuki - 6/25/2014, 11:43 AM
Wow, that art is awful. Reminds me of the Joe Mad posers from the early '90's.
THORION76 - 6/25/2014, 11:50 AM
I LOVED, COLLECTED, AND ENJOYED THE ORIGINAL GUARDIANS BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THEY WILL TRANSLATE TO THE MODERN WORLD.

THERE'S A REASON NONE OF THEM MADE IT INTO THE MOVIE ACCEPT YONDU AND THEY CHANGE HIM A LOT.

THORION76 - 6/25/2014, 11:51 AM
THEY NEED TO BRING JIM VALENTINO BACK TO DRAW THE BOOK.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/25/2014, 11:51 AM
Excellent news. Marvel are stacking the deck with new revivals of great Marvel characters. ;)
InfiniteMonkey - 6/25/2014, 11:52 AM
YES! Thank You!!!

NOW, BRING THE ORIGINAL RICHARD RIDER NOVA BAAAAACK!
KrazyForKomix - 6/25/2014, 11:53 AM
One of THE coolest looking characters of the 70s was Yondu!
Why is he not there?
'Cause I KNOW that blue guy with the bow CAN'T be him . . .
This wouldn't be from the film would it? 'Cause all EVERYONE kept saying was that I should be more open to a different cinematic versions of our favorite characters in the movies. Besides, "you'll always have your comic book version, this non-finned guy is just for the film."

WHAT.
ARE.
THEY.
DOING?
Nomis - 6/25/2014, 12:04 PM
@ ATrueHero1987 - just love me some old school comics! ;)
