Jackie Earle Haley on Sinestro Rumor

Jackie Earle Haley talks about the rumor and reveals if it is true or not.

Just yesterday AICN learned that Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen, Nightmare on Elm Street) is at the top of the list to play the villain Sinestro in the upcoming "Green Lantern" movie.

Collider caught up with Haley on the red carpet of Spike TV's 2009 Scream Awards and asked if there is any truth to the rumor. "I was very shocked to hear that. I heard about it the same way you did," said Haley, adding that nobody has called him to come in for an audition.

AICN never said that Haley was cast, but simply that the studio is creating their wishlist that has Haley at the top.

Even though Haley denied being cast as Sinestro, he refused to confirm that he will not be in "Green Lantern." "I don't know anything about it yet," he said. "If something comes up, I'll let you know."

Ozy:Well Im kind of glad, he doesnt look like Sinestro at all to me!

	David looks remarkably similar to Sinister, plus Sinister is covered in white make-up, they could easily make him more identical to the character. 	to be honest I never even thought of jackie earle haley.I guess he would be good but to be honest I was hoping for Hugo weaving or jason isaacs.Well i guess it coud be worst ,they think of Justin Timberlake again -TIMBERLAKE!!!!! 	Some of those Peanuts pics need to be adjusted. Linus should be OwlMan and Batman(repectively). I'd be pleased if either Isaacs or Weaving get to be Sinestro.
