Green Lantern Fan Film Trailer

Most of us have seen the excellent fan-made trailer featuring Nathan Fillion, this is not it.
While many of us scour the internet hoping to find pictures or video from WB's Green Lantern movie, some people just went out and made their own film.

It's in high definition, watch it full screen:

I wish I could give credit where credit is due, but I can't find any information on the people that made this.

So what do you all think?

For those that haven't seen the Nathan Fillion trailer, here it is:

Can you name all the CBMs that were used in it?

Pretty cool, can't top the Fillion one, but its nice to see a good fan made trailer. I really hope The Green Lantern film goes well, as being comic fans we forget that the general movie going public has no idea who The Green Lantern is.
FattSmelliott - 11/23/2009, 8:18 AM
not bad, would've been nice to see some actually ring-use, but its a nice start. still, the Nathan Fillion trailer rocks my f*cking socks off every time :D
sasquatch - 11/23/2009, 8:23 AM
This was good. It looks like the settings was in the 1940's. That was a nice touch. Although that would have been the golden age Lantern, Alan Scott.
stopdropandroll - 11/23/2009, 8:54 AM
BOTH are great trailers..almost looks like,

Green Lantern: the new frontier (LOL)
peterparker420 - 11/23/2009, 9:01 AM
i posted that video on Evolution Of The Superhero Movie thread. anyway its a good fan-made trailer also on the person youtube it seems like it was directed by Christopher Hamilton cause he got a showreel on his youtube account.
jazzman - 11/23/2009, 9:13 AM
This trailer is really good. I hope the movie can be just as good. It would be nice to see DC do something good for a change. HULK SMASH!!!!!!
THULK - 11/23/2009, 9:16 AM
not bad :)
DarthMulder - 11/23/2009, 9:20 AM
the only bad thing i have to point out are the uniforms. those are AWFUL! but the rest of the trailer rocks!
@Multi:
i noticed Rise of the Silver Surfer, Planet of the Apes, Dragonball Evolution, Serenity, Superman Returns, the Justice League cartoon, Star Wars prequel (idk which one), Independence Day, Iron Man, Star Trek, the Chronicles of Riddick, Bedtime Stories, The Matrix Revolutions, The Chonicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, and GI JOE: Rise of Cobra.
i know that probably aint all of them but i think i hit most of them.
oh! and dont forget about Hugo Weaving's voiceover from the Fellowship of the Ring!
Wadey09 - 11/23/2009, 9:32 AM
Its very well made..I mean the Fillion trailer is a mash up, this one has to get props for actually being a fan filmed clip.
RorMachine - 11/23/2009, 9:35 AM
This is a tough question to ask because I should know the answers, but with these 2 fan trailers...I know alot of the scenes are from other CBM's with some tweaking but some of the scenes at the Airbase and with the lantern in costume and stuff...where would they have got those scenes? Is there an old Lantern movie that I am not aware of? Like I said if there is one then I am pretty disappointed I don't know about it...
continuezero - 11/23/2009, 9:38 AM
@continuezero

that green lantern fan-made trailer is not from other movies it was filmed by a young director. he must of had permission to direct at the Airbase and the lantern costume he must of brought it. anyway i found out whos the guy he got a myspace page.
jazzman - 11/23/2009, 9:53 AM
Hmm...well thats alot of effort. Quite the fan. Well done for sure..now aside from possibly breaking into the movie industry why would someone go to the lengths of directing a fan trailer to a movie that doesn't exist? (referring to the fan version of the movie) and probably doesn't have any profit? Is he just that hardcore a fan? Which I can understand but still...
continuezero - 11/23/2009, 10:08 AM
D@mn it, Nathan Fillion should be the Green Lantern!
ElBicho - 11/23/2009, 10:14 AM
@continuezero

well he must be a hardcore fan. but alot of people do alot of fan-made trailers and movie do you remember Batman Dead End, The Flash fan trailer, Batman Legends, the 3D Arkham film trailer them movies doesn't exist but its entertaining. plus it might make Warner Bros studios get their act together to development these comic book movies.

jazzman - 11/23/2009, 11:02 AM
The Batman legends one is the best i've seen so far!

Hey Ror, you should put up Batman: Ashes to Ashes on here ;)
Shaman - 11/23/2009, 11:19 AM
Not a bad trailer, I thought actual film quality was good, but the text portions were pretty crappy, it took me out of the moment every time I saw that horrible text filters and drop shadows. I swear, some graphic artists need to learn that sometimes less is more, not everything needs a f^cking lens flare. (Not saying there were any, I'm just saying in general)
Stumblin - 11/23/2009, 11:38 AM
I loved seeing the F-86 Saber in this film. It looks as if they wanted to set it in the '60's when the comic debuted. It was ok, just not the best we have seen.
JYCowboy - 11/23/2009, 12:14 PM
All together now...(dramatic pause)

In brightest day

In blackest night

No evil shall excape my sight

Let those who worship evil's might

Beware my power, Greent Lantern's light

In the words of Commander Adama...SO SAY WE ALL!!

brianj22 - 11/23/2009, 1:28 PM
OMFG.....in Batman Legends....wouldnt it be better to have Robin wear some Fu-cking Pants?~! WTF......now Batman looks creepier than that old guy from "Family Guy"!!! GEezzzzzzzzzzzz!!!
Kes - 11/23/2009, 2:18 PM
@ kes

lol, i guess you're not familiar with robin's classic costume then?
CorndogBurglar - 11/23/2009, 4:31 PM
@ ror

i agree, i'd rather watch a million of these ORIGINAL fan movies, then one mash up, even though the GL one is sick!
CorndogBurglar - 11/23/2009, 4:32 PM
krap
FrankCastle1 - 11/23/2009, 4:34 PM
I sure hope they start the Flash saga with Allen...
Phinehas - 11/23/2009, 5:14 PM
WTF.... Wait are they already in development for the FLASH i just

I really hope that wasn't a prank.... Oh yeah the fan trailer was pretty good ... ;-)
thegreek - 11/23/2009, 5:34 PM
http://www.hyperborea.org/flash/movie.html

Has a link that says a July 19, 2009 article of the Hollywood Reporter says that Johns wrote a script and is executive producing a feature film. And judging by Geoff Johns work, it'll no doubt be an Allen Flash.
Phinehas - 11/23/2009, 5:41 PM
Is good The Green Fat Lantern Trailer.
OSCURO - 11/23/2009, 6:08 PM
Phinehas - That is awesome dude... I really hope they make one
thegreek - 11/23/2009, 6:16 PM
@ Phinehas

The words of the Trailer are:

"My name is Wally West ... I'm the fastest man alive."
JYCowboy - 11/23/2009, 6:26 PM
JYCowboy,
That's a fanmade trailer, or it is the worst professional trailer I've ever seen.

Greek-...'tis very awesome. When they get around to actually putting it onto celluoid!!!! lol
Phinehas - 11/23/2009, 6:28 PM
Phinehas - LOL
thegreek - 11/23/2009, 6:39 PM
I liked it. Better that a lot of tv shows. The only critique I would offer is that in the last scene they should have found the green lantern a girdle cause he wasnt super toned in his core. But he did look like Alex Ross's version which I think is awesome!
theartofoneness - 11/23/2009, 6:42 PM
Oh man @ MULTI @ [frick]ING good find, that was an [frick]ing amazing Fan movie!!!

KUDOS dude!!! ; )
LEEE777 - 11/23/2009, 7:43 PM
@jazzman
Yeah I can totally understand the drive of a fan to do this, but I guess what my question is that considering there is a cost of both time and money associated with a fan going to that lengths for a trailer, Without there bein a profit or some compensation I dont understand the reason or how they can manage it. Do they do it simply make them because they want to try and make a profit and don't always do...or are they such dedicated and strong fans that they wish to showcase that? And they are willing to showcase at their own expense?
continuezero - 11/23/2009, 8:46 PM
DUDES THIS WAS AMAZING
I WAS CRYING THIS WAS SO GOOD, I CAN ONLY HOPE HOLLYWOOD AND DC CAN DO AS GOOD BECAUSE THAT WAS AWESOME
IonGL2814 - 11/23/2009, 8:57 PM

Instantclassic - 11/23/2009, 11:40 PM
That trailer was ok but I liked the Nathan Fillion trailer better. Sure wish he could have been Hal.

Ryan Reynolds if you screw this up, so help me!
Kratos6 - 11/24/2009, 7:14 AM
@Multi Love this, great find - hope you don't mind sharing ;)

And this is waaay better than an edit job - much more professional.

We’ll see what fan film is best, once I post a Green Lantern poll!

Not sure I want to hear the "brightest day" rime in the film can't imagine that coming out any other way than totally goofy and cheesy.
