Did I say I was done with my Green Lantern set reports? Guess again...


Day 6

I was tipped off that Warner Bros had rented out a few hangers at Lakefront Airport located in northern New Orleans, LA.

Within one of the hangers, the crew had just finished painting a fighter jet that will be used for a pivotal scene in Martin Campbell's space epic Green Lantern. The 'experimental' YF-32 jet will be piloted by our hero's father, Martin Jordan (portrayed by Jon Tenney in the film), and will be the cause of his demise.

It appears to be based off of the X-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and is roughly 2/3 scale. The mock air traffic control tower that is being used on the Green Lantern at Second Line Stages is a replica of the one used at Lakefront Airport; which has been chosen as the backdrop for the fictitious Ferris Air.

I'm sure that the Lakefront Aiport will be Ferris Air.

If you checked out the leaked construction of the 'Air tower' at Second Lines Stages, it matches the tower of the Lakefront airport.

That's frickin' crazy that you are getting stuff like this on film. Not even the big name photogs and news people are getting this stuff. Very amazing. You sir have some serious balls and an eye for cool stuff to whet our appetites for this movie.

Nice find, loving all the GL news. Makes me think that DC has a chance of having more franchises a head. I mean look at Warner bros all the DC movies are Superman/Batman and or spin offs of them. I hope GL and Jonah Hex do well so they can have the sense that they can not just relay on Superman/batman films. I say wait on Superman and get more characters on the big screen.

Wow, that's a hell of a thing! I'm so glad they're not pulling any punches with the production value. So far it's looking like it's going to be incredible. The real tell will be when we finally see a pic of Jordan himself in costume.

I wonder if this moview will be portrayed somewhat in the new future.

Since the YF-32 is a true eperimental plane almost ready for production. I guess we can tell this if Hal is a kid or teenager when his dad dies.

If he is then that would put Martin in the 2000 to 2009 range for testing.

A notion though. The designation number for YF-32 is (was) the Boeing introduction to the JSF program. Lockheed now has the contract and this picture is of a YF-35 which seems to be a Ferris streamlined version of it.

Weather this is a full scale prop or not is it really great.

so i read somewhere that angela basset is playing amanda waller? thats pretty weak. shes way to fine to play her. amanda waller was all fat and stuff haha. pam geir is playing her in smallville right now which was pretty decent.
