Full Audio for Green Lantern Comic Con Trailer

Until Warner Bros releases the actual trailer shown exclusively at Comic Con, you can hear the audio of it after the jump.


Here is the audio from the Green Lantern trailer shown at the Hall-H Comic Con panel this past Saturday:

I was kinda hoping for a epic oath moment like the one John Stewart had in JLU. I might be taking to much out of the audio thought by saying it isn't epic. cant wait for this film.

Dude who needs video anyways i think we should just go back to using the radio, there is more of a mystery and it forces people to use their imagination. Plus Hollywood wouldn't be going out of business with all these expensive sets and CGI. ; )

I've havent heard this one yet as I write this. I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you so very much MultiPurposePoni for this audio. I am really excited and awestruck by knowing I am going to hear Green Lantern audio in a few seconds. I thank you for this. I still cannot believe anyone hasnt got any teaser clip out yet but this is by far the closest we will get by now. But still, this incredible find to be so nice of you to publish here.

The highlights:

- Tomar Re
- Hal creating a giant fist construct
- Abin Sur
- Hector Hammond's transformation
- Carol Ferris (because she looks smoking hot in the footage)

BTW, I heard from one of my guys at WB that they will not release this footage until they are ready to insert the finished CGI GL costume into it. So, who knows how long at this point...

We'll probably see an official teaser trailer around Labor Day weekend (my speculation). Filming will be over by then and it would be right in time to catch the last moive rush of the summer.

@clay: I heard a rumor that the GL footage was "watermarked" so even if someone tried to record it it wouldn't come out on tape.

@poni was it in 3D, cause I know its hard to bootleg 3D, so basically the trailer on film would be as equivalent as say the secret hologram they look for on a Super Bowl ticket or like this past years NBA All Star Game?

@Poni - You sir, are the MAN! :D I got serious chills with the oath, chills all over my body.

@GreenHalJordan - This film will be nothing like First Flight. And we should all be incredibly grateful. This film will treat the source material with far more respect, he'll have a lantern, he'll use the oath, he'll recharge his ring, so many essential elements of the mythos will not be tossed away as carelessly as they were in First Flight to make "Training Day in space".

@Starsapphire - Yeah, the G4 live blog thought it was Abin Sur, but it's clearly Sinestro at the beginning of the footage, which is awesome. :D

so collider.com is right no green lantern footage i did checked in HMV in the UK for clash of the titans and i looks on DVD and Blu Ray cover and it had nothing about Green Lantern oh well we just have to wait for the trailer

I think this is going to be the next DC epic series to unfold on the screen. Green Lantern is a complex story and mythos and is embedded in the super hero fandom everywhere.

After watching the ComicCon interviews of each of them I think they have done well so far. Reynolds was adamant about making sure the oath was right then you know he is in this with heart felt effort.

The sequels will no doubt be even more dynamic and detailed. This can only get better! MegaCon 2011 here I come poozers!

I like the fact it's Sinestro who is talking in the beggining because it gives a sense that he is mentor. Ppl may think he is talking to the audience about the function of the ring, but to me is sounds like he is directing Hal on how to use his will.

Hey guys. The GL trailer is suppose to have come out today in the DVD for CLASH OF THE TITANS. I dont know if its just on the BLUE RAY version of the regular version as well. Im going to go rent the regular one now. If you see it on the BLUE RAY version please submit to CBM so it can be posted.

@mistaheck I was at the GL panel at comic-con. I can tell you a little bit of what I remember. Honestly it's kind of a blur as I was so giddy and jacked up on adreneline that I actually made it IN after waiting for almost 4 hours.
1 it was not shown in 3D despite the fact that we were handed 3D glasses when we walked in.
2 It opens with a black screen with a small orb of green light in the center that sort of hovers and swirls in place in a very controlled sort of way while Sinestro's voice tells you to focus on it. It makes you feel like you were controlling it.
3. While we listen then to the oath we are treated to a few VERY quick cuts. They include (in no particular order):
-Hector Hammond (who looks perfect)
-Hal in a fight outside a bar
-An EXTREMELY blink and you'll miss it shot of Tomar.
-Hal getting the ring
-A shot of Oa which look absolutely breathtaking (probably my favorite shot)
-And of course, Hal punching the guys with a big ole sweet looking construct (which is tied for my favorite shot). Really, the construct looked perfect. How you are hoping it looks, yeah, that's how it looks.
I'm sure there were more but like I said, it was all kind of a blur in my mind.

Basically, the impression I got though was that we were lucky to get ANYTHING. It was still all very rough. I think they let us see what they were comfortable letting us see. There's still SO much to do in post production. Honestly there wasn't much. Just enough to keep us longing for more. I mean really, Mark Strong just started shooting his stuff about a week or two ago. I can tell you that nothing looked blasphemous or out of place or WTF. It was all golden but were gonna have to wait longer to see more. It's just not ready yet. Which is why there's no footage on Clash of the Titans. I'm sure they don't want every fanboy in the world disecting an unfinished product.

Hey all. Harry just did a little write up on the GL panel at comic con and Ryan doing the oath for the little kid. It a really nice write up and it's kinda warms the cockles of your heart. I would recommend reading it and watching the footage which actually show the kids reaction. Marvel fans too!

Hey GreenLanternFan, im sorry I dont read every comment everyone makes on this board like you do. I have a life dickhead. Oh, and next time, If I want your input I will beat it out of you.

In the mean time I just rented Clash, the dvd version and after a half hour of nothing but previews they dont have the GL trailer on it either. Someone was lieing if they said it was suppose to be on it.

@brianj22 - GreenLanternFan was just trying to prevent your inevitable disappointment, though he could have been more tactful in his attempt :D Lets try and be respectful of each-other guys. It's been noted before, in numerous places, that the Clash of the Titans Blu-Ray would not have any Green Lantern footage on it. This was a mistake by Warner Brothers. I try and keep people as informed as possible, but that doesn't work so well if you post a comment without reading all the preceding comments first ;) We're just trying to help :D

Actually I would like to wait for the release in full detail but you know how that goes.

Unless it gets released before MegaCon I assume they will show it there in one of the media rooms.
