Superman: Man of Steel (2012) Fan-Cast

By now you are probably very tired of the Superman fan-casts but anyway here's a somewhat unexpected/unusual one

Just to let you know this is my first Fan-Cast ever but anyway, here's the fan cast

Hrithik Roshan as Superman/Clark Kent



Roshan is one of the few good Indian actors, he has done many films including drama and action and he actually looks white. Although i am half-indian, i hate Indian movies which are all "remakes" of certain movies but anyway, i haven't seen many of his films but judging from the ones i have his acting is always worth seeing, therfore my choice for Superman is Roshan because he is a very good actor and he looks like Supes as well.

notable: Lakshya, Jodhaa Akbar and Luck by Chance

On side note Danny Boyle said Roshan is extraordinary and could make it to hollywood

Gemma Arterton as Lois Lane



Gemma is a great actress and beautiful so i can definitely see her as Lois

notable films: The Disappearance of Alice Creed, St Trinian's, The Boat That Rocked and Quantum of Solace

Jon Hamm as Lex Luthor



Very wrong for Superman but can be a brilliant Lex. He has proven he is a great actor and he even looks like him.
notable films: The Town, Howl, Sucker Punch and Mad Men(not a movie but still worth mentioning)

Nicolas Cage as Perry White



Although his movies have been horrible lately but he is still a very good actor and because of that i think pull this off.

notable films: Adaptation, Leaving Las Vegas, Honeymoon in Vegas and Kick-Ass

Michael Cere as Jimmy Olsen



Loved him in Superbad and Scott Pilgrim and for that i think this can work.

notable films: Superbad, Juno and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

intresting choice for superman, but I prefer Jake Gyllenhal for the role
a few hits and misses 4 me, but it's clear u put some though into this, good effort I guess
still if u got the chance check out my Fantastic Four Fan Cast

I think your superman pick is a interesting pick, lois pick could be good and yeah hamm would be good for lex luthor

not too sure about your superman and lois picks, only cos Ive never seen Roshan act and I dont know how good Arterton's american accent is... Cage is an interesting pick for Perry, very original choice and I think he'd be great!
Love your Jimmy and Lex picks, I have the same Jimmy pick myself! Hamm would be great as Lex in all fairness

An eleven-fingered Indian Superman? Really? I've watched "Krrish"(with subtitles, I can't understand a word they say) and he was good at playing a superhero but my personal opinion is that Superman should preferably be American or Canadian(British if Cavill is in).

who was the Italian actor?

yeah it probably wont happen but its still worth a shot. I've only seen 4-5 Salman Kahn movies and that guy cannot act.

Nicholas Cage is a HORRIBLE choice for Perry White despite his slight likeness to him in that pic up there.

Gemma has not yet proven she has the acting chops to portray a strong character like Lois Lane.

Jon Hamm would make a great Lex Luthor but for some reason I doubt he'll be cast. He's the only good choice you made up there.

Michael Cera is so overrated and I sincerely doubt Snyder [or Nolan for that matter] would cast him. I'd prefer someone with more acting chops and a smaller profile to play Jimmy Olsen.

I've never heard of your Superman, not surprising since he's an Indian actor who probably hasn't broken into mainstream American cinema as of yet. He resembles Superman a little bit but his complexion shows that he is obviously Indian.
I'm black so I wouldn't have much of a problem with a non-white Superman, but I'd prefer someone who actually looks like the character.
Without having seen the man act, I can't endorse him for the role at this time.

While I appreciate that you made some original choices [except for Cera as Jimmy and Hamm as Lex, those have been made before], this fan cast was way off base.
