Primetime television stars Nathan Fillion and Tim Daly, the reigning voices of Green Lantern and Superman, respectively, join an exciting group of actors reprising their famed cartoon roles in Justice League: Doom, an all-new entry in the popular series of DC Universe Animated Original Movies due in early 2012 from Warner Home Video.

Justice League: Doom finds Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg and Batman on their heels when a team of super villains discover and implement the Dark Knight’s “contingency plans” for stopping any rogue Justice League member. The story is inspired by Mark Waid’s much-heralded “JLA: Tower of Babel.”

Fillion, the star of ABC’s hit TV drama Castle, made his debut as Green Lantern/Hal Jordan in the recent Green Lantern: Emerald Knights. Fillion made his initial DCU bow as the voice of Steve Trevor in the 2008 hit Wonder Woman.

Currently headlining the cast of ABC’s popular Private Practice, Daly originated the title character’s voice in the landmark cartoon, Superman: The Animated Series. He has reprised the role in two DCU films: the 2009 extravaganza Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and the 2010 thriller Superman/Batman: Apocalypse.

In addition to current primetime stars Fillion and Daly, the cast is a grand reunion of the original group of actors who provided the voices of the Justice League for the cartoon of the same name and its follow-up, Justice League Unlimited. Reprising their roles are Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) as Batman, Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville, Breaking In) as Flash, Susan Eisenberg (Superman/Batman: Apocalypse) as Wonder Woman and Carl Lumbly (Alias) as J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter. Bumper Robinson (A Different World, Transformers: Animated) joins the cast as Cyborg.

The Justice League faces two sets of villainous teams in the film – The Royal Flush Gang and a sextet of notable evildoers. The latter group includes three voice acting alumni of the Justice League animated series: Phil Morris (Smallville, Seinfeld) as Vandal Savage, Olivia d’Abo (The Wonder Years) as Star Sapphire, and Alexis Denisof (Angel) as Mirror Master. Also opposing our heroes are Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911) as Bane, Paul Blackthorne (The Dresden Files) as Metallo, and Claudia Black (Farscape, Stargate SG-1) as Cheetah.

David Kaufman (Danny Phantom) also reprises his Justice League role of Jimmy Olsen.

This looks good so far, I am gettin excited for it.
GLGeek - 9/27/2011, 8:03 AM
YES!! Very excited for this one. Sounds like a good old fashion dust up between the League and some of their villains. I LOL'd when I read that the Royal Flush Gang was going to be in it. DC Animated loves beating the crap out of that team with the League.
Fogs - 9/27/2011, 8:05 AM
DC owns when it comes to animation. Getting this one too.
MaddMonkk - 9/27/2011, 8:06 AM

Fastestmanalive - 9/27/2011, 8:15 AM
This looks great and the tower of Babel is an awesome story, plus great to have the right voices for our heroes.

My minor gripes are first the art dosent look that great but I'll judge when the trailer comes out and second, weve got some pretty cool villains in there but wheres Ras 'Al Ghul? hes an important part of the story, I hope they put him in there or else it wont be the same.
comicb00kguy - 9/27/2011, 8:20 AM
I will DEFINITELY be buying this when it comes out. The Tower of Babel was an excellent story.
Thegoddamnrobin - 9/27/2011, 8:24 AM
where the hell is Ra's al Ghul
RobinNumbah6 - 9/27/2011, 8:28 AM
Flash looks like Justice League flash (TV show)
EdGross - 9/27/2011, 8:30 AM
Bruce Timm and company have said that the film is loosely based on Tower of Babel.
PaulRom - 9/27/2011, 8:39 AM
Sounds excellent, can't wait for it.
JayTopStix - 9/27/2011, 8:47 AM
This cast is pure win. DC should make a CGI movie with them. As of today I think that would be the best shot for a JLA movie.
Jordanstine - 9/27/2011, 8:58 AM
Speaking of Nathan Fillon... anyone catch last night's Castle show?

There were a lot of comic book reference from that episode.

- Spider-Man
- Daredevil
- Black Panther
- Deadpool
- Iron Man
- Avengers
- Bruce Wayne
- Clark Kent
and
- Elektra
Jordanstine - 9/27/2011, 8:58 AM
^ It would've been funny if there was a "Frank Castle" mention... but not.
Action - 9/27/2011, 8:59 AM
BOOOOO! I can't believe cyborg replaced plastic man! I like Cyborg but Plastic man is a classic character. I guess DC wants fans to become acquainted with the new justice league.
ISeeStupidPeople - 9/27/2011, 9:18 AM
Hah. I'm going to miss John Stewart, but the fact they got everyone else is pretty damn bad ass.

Superman has some weird cheekbones...
Cosmo - 9/27/2011, 9:21 AM
last night's Castle was great! He has got to turn up in a CBM sooner or later. He understands the genre so well!
jackdawak - 9/27/2011, 9:23 AM

StrangerX - 9/27/2011, 9:57 AM
Batman and his [frick]ing contingency plans..lmao!!
Jordanstine - 9/27/2011, 9:59 AM
I wonder how all the fans of John Stewart from the original Justice League cartoons are feeling?

This is like the 3rd time John Stewart has been shafted in order for DC to incorporate Hal Jordan back, while giving the duty of the "Black Token" character to Cyborg.

Ugh.

"Sorry for all the John Stewart fans out there of the original Justice League cartoon. We really wanted Hal Jordan to be in JL in the first place, but DC Exec Producer Bruce Timm needed a black token character to appeal to the masses (which he said so in JL Season 1's Special Features) so we had to give you John Stewart. But with our recent Hal Jordan film, I hope you understand why you won't be seeing the Green Lantern you grew up watching since 2000 anymore. The comic fans at least understand. But to make it up to you, we'll give you the fans, Cyborg, which you all know from Teen Titans since we're assuming, you, the John Stewart fans are mostly Black."

The unspoken truth.

Also reason #211 of 45632 why Green Lantern movie didn't click.
Batman5 - 9/27/2011, 10:02 AM
Can you say BAD ASS
MatchesMalone1989 - 9/27/2011, 10:15 AM

Jordanstine - 9/27/2011, 10:27 AM
@MatchesMalone1989

Didn't say "all". Of course there are white, asian, hispanic fans of the character.

Just said DC is likely "assuming mostly the fans are black" which is the goal Bruce Timm set for incorporating John Stewart in the first place. Read HERE or HERE.
luffycapri - 9/27/2011, 10:35 AM
same art style of justice league of two earths
MatchesMalone1989 - 9/27/2011, 10:40 AM
Then that could only mean one thing.... Bruce Timm is Racist!!!!!!
GLprime2814 - 9/27/2011, 10:52 AM
I own every dc animated movie they do it right, would have been cool if they used the new 52 since it's not coming out for a year.
jadams07 - 9/27/2011, 10:57 AM
I hate how superman looks in the cartoon movies. why does he look like a freakin girl? and honestly I do not know why they just haven't had all the incarnations of green lantern at the same time. Doesnt that happen in the comics? also timm and co really messed up green lantern in Superman TAS. They had the original lantern be Kyle Raynor who gets his ring from abin sur. and then when he does get it an already yellow lantern sinestro goes after the ring. I like alot of the DCAU but some of it is just complete shite.
VictorHugo - 9/27/2011, 11:39 AM
It´s all ALEX ROSS fault with his Superfriends nostalgia, which was followed by Geoph Johns.

It was bad enough bringing Hal Jordan back, but more insulting was to bring Barry Allen.
Daniellantern - 9/27/2011, 11:59 AM
Those picture like from Justice League animated series/Unlimited. Love it when it have appearance like GL: Emerald Knights. Looks more realistic than animation. Love DC animated movie.
HellScorpion - 9/27/2011, 12:54 PM
Garcia from Reno 911 is playing Bane, hilarious.
AC1 - 9/27/2011, 1:00 PM
Tower Of Babel sounds like a really cool comic, a friend of mine told me about it. Sounds like this could be great.

Gotta love Superman doing Zoolander's Blue Steel look in the top pic!
