There as been a slight update on the possibility of a Dredd sequel, during a The Las Vegas Star Trek convention. When Karl Urban was asked about the possibility of a DREDD sequel he responded by saying that "conversations are taking place". The fact a sequel is even been talked about is a good sign because we all believed it to be dead in the water due to its poor box office performance - though the movie did pretty well when it reached DVD and Blu-ray. Would you like to see a sequel to DREDD or are you happy enough with it as a standalone? Sound off below.

Star Trek Convention in Vegas? It's reopened!?
npamusic - 2/24/2014, 3:21 PM
is it because Almost Human is getting cancelled that talks are opening back up?
MrSotoMan - 2/24/2014, 3:25 PM
Almost Human seemed like the show that fits on SyFy, not FOX.

FOX's only real good past drama has been 24 which it is considerably known for. It wouldn't surprise me if Gotham replaces Almost Human's time-slot for the Fall, but since Urban did make an appearance at the convention, I guess this does mean it is getting cancelled.

They need to make this a TV series instead of a movie.
ManofSteel23 - 2/24/2014, 3:28 PM
I tried to get in to almost human, but the stories for the show are so unoriginal and lost interest
MagicStingRay - 2/24/2014, 3:28 PM
Hell yea, make it happen!

MrSotoMan - 2/24/2014, 3:28 PM
Scratch that, Bones and Fringe.
LMB10 - 2/24/2014, 3:31 PM

superotherside - 2/24/2014, 3:34 PM
I bet it would be a big hit on TV.
HavocPrime - 2/24/2014, 3:36 PM
Brilliant news as Dredd was one of the best films of 2013
Nubase - 2/24/2014, 3:37 PM
Almost human main story has yet to kick in, and its the synthetic soul and its creator that will take it to the next level, fringe started in the same way, each episode was a differnt story then season 2 opened up the world, l hope AH goes the same way and with JJ Abrams maybe he will convince them.
Tajin88 - 2/24/2014, 3:38 PM

Oh yes, conversations are taking place as to, what movie should we rip-off next for the sequel? Thank you Dredd also for directly ripping off The Raid's own concept. Very original of you to do so. I'd rather watch the Stallone version, at least that had some real drama and emotion put into it unlike this new hipster version. Karl Urban is about as terrifying as a mouse and his head looked ridiculously too small for the helmet. It was laughable. Oh and the non stop action violence? Yeah some scenes looked lifted from Punisher War Zone. Who thought it would be a good idea to set a premise of a Dredd movie in ONE BUILDING! All the endless possibilities and they go for that? It dragged on so much, unbelievable. Am looking forward to the sequel although because the first Dredd film was totally awesome. Karl Urban is Dredd, what a great performance. Loved the movie and totally kicks the Stallone version upside down!

I'm not even a DREDD fan, but the movie is flat out, adrenaline filled, awesome sauce!!!

One of the prettiest movies I own on Blu-Ray, and entertaining EVERY TIME I watch it!!! Going on 7x now!

REALLY hope this happens!!! Only complaint with the first one is the similarities to "the Raid" story wise...

Bring on Judge Death, some mutants, and bring back Rob Schneider as Fergie!!!

Just kidding on that last one... Only a little, I sincerely love Stallone's DREDD...
DrDoom - 2/24/2014, 4:33 PM

I'm all for this. Dredd hit all the right notes with me, and Urban was bad-ass. I'd definitely be down with a sequel.

I enjoyed The Raid Redemption more, but I would like to see a sequel to Dredd. So yeah, I am in!
MatTaylorX - 2/24/2014, 10:15 PM
It's not gonna happen guys. The film was a massive bomb. Yes the DVD has sold well, but mainly because it was cheap
fettastic - 2/24/2014, 10:22 PM
The trailers all looked horrible. It sure as hell didn't look anything like the Brain Bolland comics I had read as a teen.

But I was pleasantly surprised so I would definitely forward to a sequel.
UltimateHunt - 2/24/2014, 10:39 PM
One of the most underrated films that I seen
That year of 2012 CBM's was just EPIC to Good,Good and GREAT. Avengers TASM, TDKR to Dredd.
