Ooh! I've been looking forward to seeing Diesel back to his best! Both previous films with Riddick were some of my favourite of all time! Loved him in Babylon AD. That film should have won some awards! Counting down to this!

*please be aware that the above comment is heavily laced with sarcasm*

I hope Vin Diesel starts exercising again for Riddick 3, because that gut and double chin he had in Fast Five was not working out.

VIN, MY LOVER!

Such a gorgeous gentleman. Loved the movie. I really wanted to see Babylon AD and then soon forgot about it, but now that people brought it up here in the comments, I'm definitely putting it on my "to-watch" list.

Can't wait!

This picture screams "hey guys, look at me. I'm back in the only other movie series that I can get into and I'm playing the same character as I did in the Fast and Furious movies. Don't I look cool?"

Box office failure = new Riddick film

What I don't like about this picture is that the crazy armour suggests that this movie will be more in line with The Chronicles of Riddick which I thought was wayyy over the top and it tried to turn him into this saviour type character. I would hope this movie would bring Riddick back to his roots as a true anit-hero who is always on the run. I'm hoping for a story closer in scale to Pitch Black.

Pitch Black seems absolutely separate from the sequel, and as it seems this new sequel as well. I really dug PB because it had a raw, bare bones kind of technology incorporated into the story. Chronicles was way off the mark, taking it in a direction far too advanced to sew them together. In short, they were lacking continuity.

@Aeyan: Not necessarily. The universe is a big place. It's feasible that the kind of tech we see in PB is akin to backwater worlds whereas the tech in CoR is more in line with highly advanced civilizations, let alone the Necromongers or whatever, who "keep what they kill". So the assumedly thousands of cultures they've wiped out/assimilated would combine the tech of all of them, accelerating their growth and advancment. The prison planet would seem to support this idea because the prison planet's tech was more like PB.

If anything, I loved getting to see more of the PB overall universe in CoR.

My concern for Riddick 3 is how he goes from head cheese of the Necromongers to where they want to go in the movie?

@CraptainAmerica

True. Although after a while, he could get sagging breasts like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

@Nomis

Ah! The dreaded chin!

PITCH BLACK and IRON GIANT. Only movies that i thought Diesel was even remotely awesome.

Fast 5 was just a bad ass movie in itself

People don't need to inform us what films you like, we already [frick]ing know. You guys do the same shit on every damn Riddick article. No listing of movies you liked or did not like is needed.
