Once it goes to the main you can't add anything new. btw thank Josh for cleaning up your article and getting it on the main so fast. Also, I don't think screencaps are necessary for this scene.
Jollem - 4/11/2012, 2:28 AM
holy crap. great delivery by mr. downey junior.
Whoisstanlee - 4/11/2012, 2:30 AM
HELL YES. I'm betting those wristbands are some sort of Asgardian Tech to stop Loki from handing Tony's ass to him or something.
nailbiter111 - 4/11/2012, 2:31 AM
nice find demon.
marvelstudios - 4/11/2012, 2:32 AM
well that was great. erased any doubt i had about the dialogue. i wonder what those bracelet thingos were?
nailbiter111 - 4/11/2012, 2:34 AM
i added them demon, you can now delete your post with them.
MovieMaster - 4/11/2012, 2:39 AM
Am I the only one that's not feeling this?
MovieMaster - 4/11/2012, 2:39 AM
It feels like really bad improvisation to me.
peppy - 4/11/2012, 2:41 AM
This is awesome
nailbiter111 - 4/11/2012, 2:48 AM
i thought the dialogue was crisp and the delivery by both actors was flawless. bravo!
113 - 4/11/2012, 2:51 AM
@MovieMaster. I think Hiddleston's acting is actually surprisingly bad in this particular scene. He just seems flat, not menacing at all.

I think the dialogue is ok, it's very Tony Stark, but not necessary great.

I may warm up to the clip a bit later, we'll see.
misner89 - 4/11/2012, 2:51 AM
goodstuff
CoolantTech - 4/11/2012, 2:56 AM
Take that for "Not Cinematic Enough" Nolanite Bitches Hahaa
Jolt17 - 4/11/2012, 3:00 AM
Very great scene. Loki's calmness seems very menacing to me, instead, and personally I think Hiddleston is simply great there. I'm curious to see what leads up to this scene, though; like how Loki gets there, and also, what are those bracelets Tony wears, et cetera.
Smokey - 4/11/2012, 3:04 AM
Imagine if those bracelets call his suit, and when Loki throws him out the window, the suit wraps around him in slo-mo. Probs won't happen but i just imagined it for the last 10 minutes...
2gold - 4/11/2012, 3:05 AM
Can for once we just leave out the word "Nolan" or anything to avoid the fight? It's got older than an old man in an old box on old folks day.

And Loki is extremely subdued here. Almost like he is letting Stark's arrogance dig his own grave. Which, when considering Loki, makes perfect sense. He's not going to let Stark find a weakness in him, he's going to remain cool and calm and quiet. I actually think that is perfect work by both. Now if Loki whispers the whole film, I'll be concerned. I love the framing, makes me feel like I'm there. Close ups are tight but not see his pores tight. So far, everything I've seen shot wise has gave me faith and interest.
Jollem - 4/11/2012, 3:05 AM
i liked the interview i read on here some time ago with ken branagh where he said to mr. hiddleston;(and i know this isn't verbatim)"every actor has a "thing", and your thing is that you are not able to hide your intelligence." i agree.
2gold - 4/11/2012, 3:06 AM
@smokey...wouldn't that happening mean that we already missed the Extremis story though?
prototype87 - 4/11/2012, 3:07 AM
CoolantTech - 4/11/2012, 3:07 AM
Love the low bass hum background music rousing up the scene... this is going to be unprecedented!
MovieMaster - 4/11/2012, 3:10 AM
@Everybody- RDJ and Hiddles are great actors, but both of their deliveries are VERY flat and bad. It feels like a bunch of kids in high school putting on a shitty play in Drama class, with prolonged responses to each other. Hiddles is not menacing at all. The 'We Have a Hulk' line is completely ruined for me.
CoolantTech - 4/11/2012, 3:13 AM
@Tea that guy in your second gif should be pretty sterile for the rest of his life lol
Fuckyoutrolls - 4/11/2012, 3:14 AM
no arc reactor --- LIFE MODEL DECOY

It ain't the real stark.
MovieMaster - 4/11/2012, 3:15 AM
@tea- Lmao, I don't even know what it stands before :P I'm sure the movie will be fantastic (it better be after the amount of promoting I've done around school) but I'm really not feeling this scene.
TheBaroness89 - 4/11/2012, 3:21 AM
wow!! that is very very nice. sat the 14th nyc empire 25 fan screening.... I only need to make it til then without dying from anticipation.
Lozzy94 - 4/11/2012, 3:23 AM
Okay no more scenes!
rosco71 - 4/11/2012, 3:42 AM
Great scene...the only thing that bothers me is where Stark is looking, Loki paces right and left momentarily but Stark still stares straight ahead, even though he's on a higher platform, shouldn't he be looking slightly downwards?...or am I just picking away at a great scene!
SuperSomething616 - 4/11/2012, 3:47 AM
Yes yes...oh god a thousand times yes....
SebHope - 4/11/2012, 3:48 AM
Anyone get the vibe loki being their is kind of a deadly situation and tony knows that, even though hes his cool self, theirs a little anger their and i feel its because loki could kill him at any moment, thats why hes secretly grabbing the bracelet to help him somehow. Maybe lokis got free and hunting down the avengers one by one.
Smokey - 4/11/2012, 3:50 AM
Yeah, it just sort of flies by itself and wraps around him. I guess in the films the suits take steps to becoming more advanced. In 1, he had trouble taking it off, then in 2 he stood there while it was being taken off him. In Avengers you've got him walking while its being taken off him and maybe flying to him and equipping itself, and then I suppose yeah the next step is him slowly being more part of the tech, which again might happen in numero 3...
Smokey - 4/11/2012, 3:51 AM
And I think we might get a few more scenes for when Cap and Thor do their letterman rounds and such... but yeah they really should stop soon... I cant resist
Fenlion - 4/11/2012, 3:54 AM
Rosco 71. That's facepalm stuff. Statements like that are why people mock Fanboys. Sheesh.
TheActionAce - 4/11/2012, 4:30 AM
dont watch...dont watch...dont watch...

from everything i read in the comments it seems this scene was awesome

cant wait for April 26
ClaireLannister2016 - 4/11/2012, 4:39 AM
RDJs amazingness is linding me and making Hiddles look weaker by comparison. All hail the mighty RDJ!
brewtownpsych - 4/11/2012, 5:00 AM
it will be interesting to see how the military fits into all of this. one really unbelievable things about all these movies (e.g., transformers, TIH, etc.) where some massive force is attacking the population is how anemic the military is -- conveniently leaving the job, of course, to the resident super hero. our modern military can rain hell on just about anything but instead we are going to leave it in the hands in the guy with a quiver of arrows. i hope they deal with that well in this movie otherwise it is going to be a tough sell.
ibravosp5 - 4/11/2012, 5:01 AM
I was awhile lot of interested in this clip. It gave me chills wondering what's going to happen next. This will definitely bethe first movieI see this summer.
batfan175 - 4/11/2012, 5:13 AM
NO! Protect the earth!!! Don't avenge it that's the stupidest thing you can do or else don't call yourselves "earth's mightiest Heroes" because a hero saves people, he doesn't act after the fact when everything is too late. Also, some of the dialogue makes me go "meh"...makes me think of Arnie's Mr. Freeze puns. If you can't save the earth what the hell are you for?
Spidey91 - 4/11/2012, 5:15 AM
I like this scene.
very low music that builds up the tension,Loki is very calm but at the same time he seems...impatient,for some reason, and Tony is just Tony,he mantains his cool for the most part, but over the end you can tell he's a bit nervous
CyberBishop - 4/11/2012, 5:25 AM
Hells yeah!!!
Spidey91 - 4/11/2012, 5:31 AM
"you managed to piss off every single one of them"
"that was the plan"

:P
djohnpi - 4/11/2012, 5:32 AM
oh YEA this movie is gonna be so goooooooooooood oh HATERS EAT A DICK
ralfinader - 4/11/2012, 5:45 AM
This gave me morning wood. IMO this scene conveys a real palpable tension, as we the fans know, and Tony too, Stark is in real danger there, and he keeps his cool.

My guess mirrors some others here, that the bracelets 'call' the various pieces of his armor to him.

Okay, watching it 15 more times before I leave for work!
R888 - 4/11/2012, 5:49 AM
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark was easily one of the best moves Marvel has made. Not only does he look like Tony, but he portrays him to perfection :D

Love the dialogue, loki was awesome as well

NightWingNut - 4/11/2012, 5:57 AM
I'm seriously debating getting one of those bracelets. Too bad they're so expensive.

The delivery is fine you can clearly hear every word that they're saying.
