VIDEO GAMES: New GamesCom Trailer For AVENGERS: BATTLE FOR EARTH

Showing off some characters and co-op gameplay, Ubisoft Canada has released a new trailer for Avengers: Battle For Earth featuring Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Super Skrull and much more. Don't miss this exciting gameplay trailer which is after the jump.

Avengers: Battle For Earth has been the center of controversy since it's announcement and that's totally understandable. The idea of a motion-controlled fighting game (WiiU/Kinect exclusive) isn't the most ideal approach for an Avengers game, but Ubisoft Canada seems like they may have a great family game to play. The trailer below features some of the game's roster and what the co-operative gameplay may look like. Let's hope it's as fun and successful as Kinect Star Wars, which had plenty of great modes. I'll be trying this in little over a week at FanExpo Canada, so I'll let everyone know how the game plays.

Shit game, what's with the graphics? it looks like an iphone game. Marvel has given us great movies, how about some good games for a change?

Was excited until I learned the details. I thought it was gonna be more like a Ultimate Alliance 3.

They shouldve burned it in a campfire months ago. Worst game I ever saw, all you do is follow the moves on the screen. Pathetic.

Why did no one go for the THQ alpha build, I bet they wouldve sold what they had.

The first X-Men Legends is one of the best games EVER...Loved the flashback missions, specially the Sentinel battle :D

i saw this being demo'd at comic con.. the only two people i saw playing it were these two teenage fat chicks. they were barely moving and waving their arms around like chickens and the game characters were pulling off all kinds of bad ass huge super moves. it's like you don't even have to try to win at this game, nor do any of your characters' movements actually translate to anything remotely close to what you're doing with your body.

How is it that this game got the green light, but the game we all keep seeing all these sweet concept photos for and freakin decent gameplay got the can?! If they made this game like the freakin trailers look then we would be having a different conversation.

That might be the first time that I have seen "fun" and "successful" used to describe Kinect Star Wars.

Graphics should not look like that in 2012.

Marvel does some things well. Games and cartoons are not one of them. (excluding a few gems)

Seems like a bad imitation of UMvC3 to me. They'd be better off having Capcom make Marvel Super Heroes 2.

Also, the reason there isn't an Ultimate Alliance 3 is because Capcom currently holds the license for games involving the entire Marvel universe that isn't tied into a movie (Battle for Earth is technically tying into the Avengers movie, hence Ubisoft making the game).

it's also for the WiiU? interesting, plus, that's a nice case (wiiu's) other than that... ugh bad graphics and just horrible looking gameplay

Instead of this crap, they should really work on games with some of the current comic storylines, i.e. AVX, marvel zombies, etc.

Unless it ties into a movie, that's Capcom's thing. Otherwise, UMvC3 is your best bet for a good recently-released Marvel fighting game.
