cyclopstb - 10/6/2012, 2:07 PM
DOES ROBOCOP(IN THIS FILM) HAVE A RIGHT HAND GLOVE OR WHAT ?
UrichLeeds - 10/6/2012, 2:07 PM
@MARVELPSYCHO79 Other than being a simple design choice for the new film, it might be reference to the original film in that, in the original, they were able to save one of his arms, though, in that film, his creator made the decision to do away with it.

If this is in fact why its there, his creator in this film thinks differently.
azn197 - 10/6/2012, 2:11 PM
okay i'm feeling more worried now about this movie
JorLBola - 10/6/2012, 2:12 PM
So, the full "armor" covers all the body... Good! would be stupid just leave uncovered one hand
Spidex3000 - 10/6/2012, 2:17 PM
The hand, instead of him just loosing it, I think is going to work as a metaphor for his humanity in this one.
Motts24ma - 10/6/2012, 2:18 PM
Holy Crap the "Stealth" but "Not So Stealth" Iron Man suit, Oh and Iron Man u kind of forgot your right glove at home, just a heads up and how are u gonna shoot repulsure beam out your right hand u better go back home and get that glove and next time do a suit check leaving your glove is like leaving your keys at home....smh #FAILRoBoCop Reboot
ManofSteel23 - 10/6/2012, 2:21 PM
dont like the black,it actually does just look like armor, but I wont judge it to much for now
damntree - 10/6/2012, 2:27 PM
The suit looks cool. The hand might be a nod to the original when they are first booting up robocop one of the workers says they saved his left arm and then Mortons says take it off.
kackbratze - 10/6/2012, 2:36 PM
Keaton is BOSS!!
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 10/6/2012, 2:48 PM
It's a little better here. Still don't like it overall.
UltimaRex - 10/6/2012, 3:01 PM
You know what would be cool? If his right hand is a robot one but OCP or whatever put his skin over it Terminator style for "spin".
INSTANTJUSTICE - 10/6/2012, 3:02 PM
@IronFan93: "Well not cheesy like orginal, but it has to be gritty and violent. Like A History of Violence or Drive would be right."

I think they made that film. It's called DREDD.

Don't expect much from PG13 RoboCop.
GUNSMITH - 10/6/2012, 3:06 PM
I REALLY CANT SAY ANYTHING TILL I SEE ACTUAL FRIGGN FOOTAGE...BY LOOK ALONE..I'D SAY IF YOU DIDNT TELL ME IT WAS ROBOCOP I'D GUESS

BORG?
CharlesLord - 10/6/2012, 3:42 PM
abbie is gorgeous as usual, suit still looks like shit
DioFoRio - 10/6/2012, 3:42 PM
I hope no one reduces his value by taking him out of the case
DarkClaw44e - 10/6/2012, 3:46 PM
Has anyone thought that maybe the reason why they left his right hand intact is because they wanted to be able to give people a humanized feel for him when they shake his hand?

Like yes hes a robocop but he's also human and here to protect other humans.
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/6/2012, 3:51 PM
Not judging yet.

Im happy they are taking a little bit different approach for this story thou and not just copying and taking every character from the original film. But i too hope they are targeting this film for adults. Robocop is not Robocop without graphic violence and satire. Sin City and Kick Ass were pretty violent movies and if i remember right they were successful so i think they can easily make this violent too and still earn some money with it.

Kinnaman´s face looks actually quite dead and robotic like Weller´s did. Hope the story is good.
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/6/2012, 3:56 PM
Then there is the suit... why black?O_o
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/6/2012, 3:57 PM
Hope he moves like a robot.
sbdc1939 - 10/6/2012, 4:07 PM
his hand sticking out looks stupid, why is it there why?????????????? thats not a question im asking people. I just think it ruins the look of the suit
95 - 10/6/2012, 4:08 PM
Neat redesign.
Diegoeichan - 10/6/2012, 4:12 PM

I don't' understand why people think that suit looks like iron man's suit...it's completely different! btw...ironmans suit loks more like the original robocop...

Ok... the suit definately looks more "robotic" now..
now i'm wondering why the right hand decides to show up...bugs me...i don't understand...first i was thinking it was because kinnaman was about to smoke some cigarretes...but how about now?

I know and i trust in padilha's work..so i'm' still pumped for this movie! :D

ps: why the [frick] always someone take pictures instead videos? damn..a mere selphone can clean your ass nowdays! why they just record a damn video why the camera that they use to take these pics!
Diegoeichan - 10/6/2012, 4:13 PM
hey..anyone notice that in hos cheast could be OCP logo printed?
Greggmcg - 10/6/2012, 4:15 PM
I'm not saying this movie's gonna be horrible or not, but I'm definitely not putting out any money to see it. I love the original and have the uncut Criterion edition on DVD. I'll wait until it hits one of the movie channels that I have. I have almost no desire whatsoever to see this.
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/6/2012, 4:16 PM
Im sure the hand has a purpose people. Pretty sure when he goes to "arrest" criminals there is somekind of glove coming over his hand. I have a feeling he is going to loose it in some period of the movie.
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/6/2012, 4:19 PM
Diegoeichan@ He is a product so that is very possible.
Diegoeichan - 10/6/2012, 4:25 PM
well..i guess in a few weeks they'll show us something official! some picture or a new viral...
lokibane2012 - 10/6/2012, 4:27 PM
I'm sorry to anyone still holding on to hope. This will suck pretty bad.

And Keaton! Noooooooo.... This is beneath you!
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/6/2012, 4:42 PM
^LOL ;D
xXkryptoniteXx - 10/6/2012, 4:57 PM
I guess his right hand allows him to feel textures lol

If this robocop fails I still have the original 2, but I'm hoping this movie well be successful.
JayJayCAW - 10/6/2012, 4:57 PM
....so this Robocop is going to have 1 human hand??
HavocPrime - 10/6/2012, 5:08 PM
Interesting choice I guess, wonder if Frank Miller is involved at all with this one.
Mego - 10/6/2012, 5:39 PM
The suit fails in every way it could.
I could go on to point out its flaws but theres nothing I can say that would better convey the message of failure that the suit itself.

beane2099 - 10/6/2012, 5:52 PM
The look reflects the current trend in sci-fi which in and of itself reflects what body armor may actually look like some day. Adi Granov based his Iron Man designs on where military designs are heaing. I don't see a problem with this asthetic used on Robocop redux. As for the arguments of "hard R", we're in an age of dollars (moreso than before). Die Hard 4 was released as PG 13 and made serious bank. Then they releases the "unrated version" on DVD and made even more. Taken 2 was released as PG 13 and based on its Friday numbers it looks like it's going to make it's production budget back in the opening weekend in the US alone. It's business. I want an r rated Robocop as much as anyone else, but I won't begrudge them making double the money it's opening weekend with PG 13.
CrispySeaplanes - 10/6/2012, 6:36 PM
So are they going to unveil to the public right away that they turned Alex Murphy into Robocop? And his wife and child are there and are going to know that their husband/daddy is Robocop? If true--I'm not sure I like that. The soul of the first movie was in how he lost his family, identity, and everything he cared about. I'll probably give this movie a shot but I do wish the suit had some element of the original to it either in color or helmet design. You wouldn't make a Batman film where he didn't have certain elements like his pointy eared cowl. This Robo just doesn't even remotely resemble Robo. Just some little touch would be nice.
SLK - 10/6/2012, 6:43 PM
Shit costume. Shit actor inside.
mgeoff88 - 10/6/2012, 6:44 PM
The suit looks better, but not much of an improvement.

Why are they making the suit all black? They need to add silver to the suit. That's just not Robocop to me.

@ELgUaSoN LOL! So would that make him Robo-Batman?

"Halt! I know robot karate!" ;P
ironpool007 - 10/6/2012, 7:26 PM
I think that any rubbery look the suit has right now will fixed with cgi. As for the overall quality of this movie, I think it will be great. I just watched Jose Padilha's Elite Squad: The Enemy Within last night, and I can honestly say with the themes of that movie, this new RoboCop could not be in better hands. I have yet to watch the original Elite Squad, but I think Padilha will knock this out of the park.
