X-Men: Days Of Future Past information has been quite scarce (besides director Bryan Singer's tweets), however Canadian French site La Presse have received word that the Moving Picture Company (MPC) (who won an Oscar for their contribution to Life Of Pi) will deploy a team of fifty employees down to Montreal to work on Singer's X-Men "inbetwequel". The site also notes that if the "experiment" of Days Of Future Past is a success, they may open a permanent studio in Montreal. What do you think of this news, and does it increase your hype for the film? Leave your thoughts below and remember to always check back to CBM for X-Men news.

well at least the effects will be good.
Jollem - 3/18/2013, 1:10 PM
they could make a sick nightcrawler
LucasMend - 3/18/2013, 1:12 PM
will they get a good payment for this one?
Hellsing - 3/18/2013, 1:13 PM
good for them, Didn't Alan Cumming say he wasn't coming back so I don't see how there gonna use him but I guess they could full on CG for him but I think its kinda pointless.
Hellsing - 3/18/2013, 1:14 PM
and good for the studio I guess I hope for them the movies a success and they get good bonuses companies are getting [frick]ed over.
Jollem - 3/18/2013, 1:16 PM
pointless to have nightcrawler involved? :(
fettastic - 3/18/2013, 1:18 PM
I think it sounds like they are going cheap instead of established American SFX houses.
DeadManDann - 3/18/2013, 1:22 PM
Slight correction: La Presse is a French-language paper/site, but it's Canadian.
gambgel - 3/18/2013, 1:24 PM
the better companies working on this sequel, the better.
great news
IIIAdamantiumIII - 3/18/2013, 1:25 PM
cool beans
Hellsing - 3/18/2013, 1:30 PM
@Jollem Let me make my self clear I meant its pointless having a pure CG nightcrawler with out having Alan Cumming doing mocap or whatever the dude is Nightcrawler. He's probably my characters and especially they way he was portrayed in all of the X-men movies.

best special effect for "LIFE OF PI"
Fantastic! What we need for The Sentinels
JerBear - 3/18/2013, 1:37 PM
The effects in Life of Pi were great, but you could still tell the tiger wasn't real. I think Weta's work on The Hobbit and ILM's work on The Avengers was better. Although, it's probably a lot easier to make something unrealistic like Gollum or the Hulk look real than it is to make something that already exists look like the real thing.
Jollem - 3/18/2013, 1:38 PM
@Hellsing - oh. hell yeah
OhThePurdue - 3/18/2013, 1:40 PM
Too bad they didn't get the people who did the FX for Superman Returns. Still looking forward to this movie although I wish Singer and Ratner would work on it together. Then it would be the perfect X movie.
SlaveMasterFlexXx - 3/18/2013, 1:44 PM
Hopefully this means action scenes won't suck. Too bad they couldn't get a better director....

At least it's not that Lucious Malfoy guy
Alex909 - 3/18/2013, 1:47 PM
JerBear: Have to disagree fully on WETA, Gollum looked awesome but there were so many times in The Hobbit that the CGI looked fake, especially on Azog. I saw the movie in 48FPS so that might be the reason however. Agreed on ILM for The Avengers, their work was fantastic.
AlexDeLarge87 - 3/18/2013, 1:52 PM
nice

Just recast Cumming. Not hard even he did great job.
ToTheManInTheColdSweat - 3/18/2013, 1:53 PM
i hit the jump.
batesmotel - 3/18/2013, 2:06 PM
This doesnt mean a thing. The movie can still be terrible
RetroFit - 3/18/2013, 2:07 PM
There's only one thing and one thing only that's going to make me care one iota about this movie...and that's if both Nightcrawler and Colossus are in it. They're my 2 fav X-Men and I'll be pizzed if BOTH of them aren't in it. Cumming was AWESOME as Nightcrawler! Just bring him back already!
Gulon180 - 3/18/2013, 2:11 PM
not bad but they arent ILM.
sephiroth211 - 3/18/2013, 2:14 PM
@ToTheManWithTheExceptionalBeard: I hit the jump as well.

good i was afraid singer would bring his jack the giant slayer FX crew with him wheew
dellamorte1872 - 3/18/2013, 2:36 PM
Life of pi had good effects just keep lee away from directing anything
XK1D - 3/18/2013, 2:47 PM
Life of Pi was visually stunning! And the fact that the same team that worked on Pi will work on Days Of Future Past, just raises the bar of anticipation!
MrMartinMarvel - 3/18/2013, 2:52 PM
They're really bringing out the big guns aren't they?
cooperbarnes - 3/18/2013, 3:07 PM
The tiger in Life of Pi WAS real. They blue screened him in. So... Sorry the tiger didn't look "real" to you. This is the best news I've heard about this movie so far. I was glad to hear Singer was back, but thought the Jack the Giant Slayer effects looked janky as hell. The effects on Life of Pi were amazing and they'll make the X-Men look awesome.
gambgel - 3/18/2013, 4:07 PM
@weneedrevelation

I believe the same. Singer KNOWS this is his make or break movie, because its his universe, and his third movie, so the preassure will pay off, and in a big way. The storyarc is intense, so if he achieves at least two portions of it, this will be an impressive movie
ricko8687 - 3/18/2013, 4:56 PM
Life of Pi was beautiful to look at the 3D was incredible. Good Choice
DurtyTalynt - 3/18/2013, 5:08 PM
Lol. Basically said we arent gonna spend money on the sfx. Great news fox. Dofp still wont have even a 100 mill budget. And singer is not good at production sets. Hell they cant even get the danger room right. Last time they used WETA for the last part of last stand to shows phx unbelievably water down powers. Budget says alot and it shows in all fox movies. FF, xmen, dd, dragonball poopoolution, legend of chun li (lol). How many times is fox gonna prove to us that they hate their own properties. The sentinels should look bigger than the transformers and we all know thats not gonna happen. Probably be a couple of wall e size robots or just a future version of the military.
Superguy15 - 3/18/2013, 5:30 PM
Hoping this is the best, most mind-blowing X-movie so far and sets the franchise up for years to come!
xXkryptoniteXx - 3/18/2013, 6:19 PM
I hope this movie doesn't fail with all the hype that it's getting and especially the high expectation that Singer has been tweeting. It's another fricken year damn. Also bring back Cyclops in a justified way!
ToTheManInTheColdSweat - 3/18/2013, 6:31 PM
lmbo seph ^_^
Khan - 3/18/2013, 11:37 PM
Awesome news. This movie will be amazing.
jimoakley666 - 3/19/2013, 4:56 AM
Cool. We're gonna see some Sentinels getting [frick]ed up.
Fogs - 3/19/2013, 12:12 PM
This site is always telling me to hit the jump. I'm too lazy to do that.
