RUMOR: STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII Looking For A "Strong, Young Female Character" As Filming Is Set To Start This September
New rumors have surfaced regarding Star Wars: Episode VIII! One is a rumored date when the film is set to start filming, and the other is a casting call that's look for a young female who will have a large role in the film! Hit the jump to check out all the details!
According to a report by The Movie Bit, Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII will start filming September 14th at Skellig Michael (the rumored home of Luke Skywalker in The Force Awakens). The source claims that the whole cast and crew will return to this island September 14th to begin filming once more! Re-shoots maybe? No! The source says the filming done will NOT be re-shoots, and they will film there for an entire six weeks!
In addition to this, Movie Bit also adds that "the final cut of The Force Awakens is just about done and the final shot is a slow zoom out of Skellig Michael." Interesting, right? Well, if you found that intriguing, it also says that Luke Skywalker will have a "far larger role in Episode 8 than Episode 7." Does this mean that we won't see Skyalker as much in Star Wars: The Force Awakens? I'll let you all think and talk about that in the comments below!
In another report from Geek Nation, Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII will be looking for a "strong, young female character to be featured heavily," who is also said to be Han Solo’s daughter in the film. Daisy Ridley’s Rey, anyone? Even though it's not confirmed that she's Solo's daughter, her last name is kept secret just as Kylo Ren's name is! Could this be a hint? What do you think CBMers? Will Star Wars: Episode VIII take us into the life (and history) of Rey, or a brand new character? Sound off below with your thoughts!
Star Wars: Episode VIII is set to hit theaters May 26, 2017
